I’ve had NexGen for two years. My usual place is under new management and a little far to drive. Serenity is closer and the reviews were high, I gave it a chance. NEVER again! I would rather drive farther and know that my nails won’t chip the next day. I have never experienced something like this. I had them done a week ago and all but two are chipped. NOT HAPPY!! I have been to Serenity multiple times now to get my NexGen nails and every time the service and results are always amazing. I won't ever go back to any of the places I've been before (including Grand Nails which I went to for years). The atmosphere is always very relaxing and quiet and the nail techs are all wonderful. I found my new place! This location is everything. Staff offered me anything from water to wine and mimosas, then helped me pick out the products I needed to recreate a photo I’d presented them. This is one of the best nail experiences I've ever had. Cindy was the one who did my nails and she did awesome! She helped me choose a color based on a picture I showed her. I got nexgen coffin-shaped nails and they turned out great. She made my experience nice and relaxing. She paid extra attention and would fix any little detail without me even telling her. Super experience!  They have a variety of packages and services.  They can handle a large volume of clientele at the same time, but still manage to offer a serene and relaxing environment. I told them to give my granddaughter a mini pedi and just to paint her nails and when I went back in to pay they charged me $55. I was so upset but this is not my first time here the first time I came here was absolutely horrible I only came back today because my friend had a gift card to get her nails done. I will never ever come back to Serenity ever again. And I suggest you don't either there is a lot of other spas that take care of their customers this place absolutely doesn't take care of their customers. Read Less

So I am not sure where to begin, but Serenity is AMAZING!I have been going here for 5-6 years and I just moved to McKinney 2 years ago.  So I would drive all the way up here just for them.  The staff is very friendly.  They ask you questions about your life and want to know how things have been going.  It is not like some places where all they do is talk in their language and it becomes awkward, because you think they are making fun of you.  LOLTina and Vivi are the absolute BEST!  They always make sure I am happy. I love getting their signature combos, mani and pedi.  It comes with hot towels, stone massages, citrus scrubs and hot wax. I have tried the organic, citrus, cranberry and today the pomegranate.  I still think the Citrus is my favorite, it just smells so good!  They never tried to up sale me on anything.  I also took my bridesmaids and bridal party here last year and we all sat together and they made it really fun.  They also provide you with drinks at no charge like water or champagne!  Also, the atmosphere is stunning.  It makes you feel relaxed and it is very clean. I frequent this nail salon regularly. Love the service and if my regular person is off or busy, I have never had a problem with having someone else do my nexgen and pedicure. Everyone here is really skilled and professional. I get nexgen on my nails and mango pedicure every time I come. I usually use the 15-20% coupon that they send out in email too. Read Less

Now, you can barely get in for a scheduled appointment. Manager Kevin is inappropriately rude, another sign they have overgrown in business. BUT, my biggest concern is that I have NEVER seen the tools cleaned. They go from person to person, 7 days a week, hundreds of people back-to-back, without cleaning the tools. So a friend of mine frequents this nail salon.  She wanted a group to go together, because one of our friends had never had a pedicure before.  I feel kind of bad that this was her first pedicure experience.  When you walk in it is gorgeous.  It has the look of an upscale place.  It is adorned with gold fixtures and mosaics on the walls.  It was packed.  I walked in and told them I had an appointment.  There are only 3 chairs for people that are waiting to be seated in.  They were already occupied.  I just stood there awkwardly waiting for the rest of my party to arrive.  They never offered for me to sit at an unused spot or go ahead and already seat me at my pedicure chair.  When our party arrived we were finally seated.  I always get the deluxe pedicure (usually around $35) where ever I go.  I like the paraffin wax.  It makes your skin so smooth. I requested the deluxe pedicure ($43) and it did not come with paraffin or even a hot towel.  I then was upsold to the organic pedicure ( has the hot towel, but no paraffin).  The biggest difference I noticed also is that they only rubbed my feet for 5 minutes, usually other spas rub them for 20 min. The polish that they put on my nails was applied very well. They did a good job with that. The next morning when I woke up my feet were not soft and usually a pedicure will make my feet feel soft for the next week. They were hard and felt rough again, which tells me she also didn't take off all the calluses. So to break it down: if you want to pay more money, but get less services go here - you are truly only paying for the atmosphere. If you want to pay less money, but get more services go anywhere else. Read Less

This nail salon/spa stays very busy, so always call for an appointment. But, they do a great job. As far as price, you get what you pay for; I've been to cheap places and gotten cheap results. Serenity is just as reasonable as any other nice nail salon. They are busy for a reason. Read Less

Wow...I had such a great experience and highly recommend to those who wants a peaceful, calming, clean, and friendly spa like this one.
