I loved this placed when it was called Hollywood Nail Spa, but since the remodel and new owners, I don't think I'll be back. I miss the old decor! Now it's just plain and white with bad lighting. I went in after work for nexgen - chose black. I asked the nail tech to fix things frequently, but she just did not understand what I was talking about and/or seen no fault of her work. I was in that chair for over an hour - needless to say I was over it and wanted to go home.. When I was at the counter about to pay, the gentleman kept asking me how my experience was. He could tell that I was not happy (I don't like to complain, but he could see it all over my face).After I signed my receipt, he came around the counter and handed me two, $5 off coupons that look like money. They both have expiration dates of 2/28 and he told me I can only use one at a time. I definitely appreciated that, but what really confused me was that as he handed them to me he said that next time I should call in advance so he can make sure I'll get someone "really good." - my opinion on that is you should have nail techs here that are all good! Why pick and choose for certain people? If you know you have nail techs that are not that great, why have them work there? Or how do you distinguish who gets who? I don't understand that. I'm so hesitant to go back with those $5 off coupons with the risk that I might not have a great experience again.. I tried telling my nail tech that my nails were uneven and if she could file them a little more and she just ignored my request and said “it’s not done yet” but it never got corrected. Needless to say it looks like I’ll be looking for a new place to get my nails done from now on since I’m now going to have to go home and correct what I had done. This used to be Hollywood nails when Julie was the manager and Amy was there as well as Angie. I went in tonight & none of them were there. It was a nightmare. They had people doing nails that used to do only pedicures therefore i got one of just those people the girl I got had absolutely NO idea what she was doing. I had to stop her and request someone else just to get the job done & get out of there. I'm so sad to see this neighborhood salon sold out and all the good ones gone. I come here every now and then so I can spend productive time with my sistersi had called ahead to set appointments even I asked for anyone but Angie and who did I get? But the last time I came I and also my sisters separately went to Angie and she is so rude and defensive, For instance to get almond shape and she was trying to sell me on a oval w/o a point .They charge extra for almond shape so I better get it! But mostly I dont appreciate the rushing me into the chair I didn't get a chance to chose my toe color to the point that I was dropping a lot of the things and feeling anxiety. Currently my nails are all uneven and fat there are even bubbles under the polish over the nexgen 102$ (no tip)later but I was so upset I just wanted her to stop touching me.And my hands and feet are chipping already and it hasn't been 24hours yetI won't be spending quality time with my sisters there anytime soon Read Less

When I first started going to this location about 6 months ago it was awesome. Great service, great prices, and kind folks. Don't get me wrong there are still some nice folks that work there but lately something changed. The persons who ask you what you need don't seem to be really interested in a positive attitude, they might as well have said, what do you want, sit down...and then you wait and you wait and you wait...20 minutes goes by and your told they don't have time as a matter of fact and if you could instead come back tomorrow? Let me add that my trip to this specific nail shop is 30 minutes one way so my one hour commitment to come here passing other shops along the way was perhaps now a bad idea... If they'd have been positive from the beginning sharing they were incredibly busy and asked me to consider another day....I would have been understanding. Great nail salon in McKinney. They have a rewards system now that you can earn points towards your next mani or pedi. Staff works hard, but had a very unpleasant encounter with the owner/manager today that ruined my whole experience mid-pedicure. I know language barrier can be difficult to understand, but she got upset with me (the customer) when I decided to not get a manicure and just polish removal after it had been about 20 minutes waiting on the manicurist, and the pedicure had started. She yelled at an employee directly in front of me in Vietnamese about buffing/trimming my nails, and it was very obvious that employee was confused. Then, not only did the owner/manager get defensive and aggravated towards me when she approached me about finishing the nails, but made me feel very uncomfortable as I finished my pedicure. I also feel that she could not understand me very well either (which is ok), but that should have never led to her verbally attacking me. I am still not really sure why all that went down, but was shocked by the total lack of professionalism.  I did let her know I just wanted to finish out the pedicure service and that was it.The pedicure finished good, just not relaxing at all, and I made sure to tip that technician well because of the good job she did. I came in last week for a pedicure and foot spa. It was the best I've had since returning from Shanghai and definitely the best treatment I've gotten in Dallas. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, true professionals! The ambience and atmosphere is great too and really makes you feel relaxed. Took my 6 year old for a mom and daughter pedi day. This place is one of the few places that has kids actual mani/pedi. If you want the whole shebang for a kids pedi it's $18 though, so we just did polish for her. $5 for that. I got the deluxe detox at $51 and it was an hour long intense pedi for really dry feet. It was amazing though. I don't do a lot of pedicures, so $51 is a bit steep for me, but if you want pampering, this is a great place. No wait on a Saturday night and they are great with kids. Everyone was super friendly. I don't know if I'd give up my nail place for this one, but I might come back for a splurge. Read Less

I've currently been sitting in a pedicure chair for 35 minutes, cold water, and no one in sight to do my pedi.  The owner (?) is trying to keep my interest by mentioning 20% off, but honestly, it's not even worth it. Absolutely awful! Called ahead to see if we (2 people) could get a mani for one and pedi for the other. Was told yes, come on in, not busy. Show up. Told to pick a color. I was the pedi. My lady was rude, not attentive at all. When I asked questions, she ignored me. 45 minutes into my service, I text my friend to see if she was finished. They hadn't even started on her yet. They keep telling her, she's next. In no way will I ever be back. We kept seeing people come in and receive service before my friend. Unacceptable. Those people were walk ins. No appointments. These ladies know how to do a good manicure and pedicure! Not a single smudge, every nail is filed to perfection and the lines are clean, and these ladies really listen to what you want. My oldest daughter went in there for a pedicure, while my youngest daughter sat and visited with her.  The manicurist ended up insulting my daughter (the one that wasn't having a service done).  My oldest daughter ended up contacting one of her friends to pick up her sister because she was in tears and clearly upset.  After finding out about what happened, I went into the salon to confront them.  They accused me of lying and they wanted me to bring my daughter back in there and have her talk to the manicurist.  Are you kidding me?  I'm not bringing my daughter back into that place to let them confront her and call her a liar!  After a continuous argument, they all ganged up on me saying nothing happened and they have cameras and know exactly what happened.  I told them to bring out the video so we can see and hear exactly what happened.  They ended up walking away and of course they didn't get the video.  They don't care that they've lost 5 customers because of this.  They will continue to lose more customers if they continue to treat people the way they do.  Besides, there are too many nail salons out there that will actually treat all customers with respect, especially teenage girls that are highly impressionable!  Teenage girls already have so much to deal with and having an adult insult them is unacceptable and could possibly make the teenage girl feel like the adult is giving them confirmation of what they are feeling!  I urge you not to support this kind of behavior! I just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail place. I tried this salon 3 times, and I can say without a doubt this salon STINKS! It is a nice salon, but the service and nail techs are BAD!!Trip 1 - My manicurist complained of hot flashes, lifted her shirt to wipe the sweat between her breasts, and then grabbed my hand to continue my manicure. GROSS!Trip 2 - I came in when they were not very busy and asked for a mani/pedi at the same time. They assured me it could be done. They started my pedi, but never got to the mani. They accepted walk-ins and kept pushing me down the line. After complaining several times they finally wrapped my gel nails in foil and acetone and left them in the acetone for over 15 minutes. My fingers started to burn so I took the foil off and then they FINALLY came by and wanted to know why I removed the foil!Trip 3 - I came in for a mani/pedi. The pedicurist scrubbed my feet so hard that I left with sores and red spots all over my feet. It took about 2 weeks for the skin to grow back on the bottom and sides of my toes and feet. It was very painful. Again, do not be fooled by the nice salon. The customer service is AWFUL and you will regret it! Read Less

I got a manicure and had four fingers cut by the cuticle scissors. Two are still bleeding. I also do not believe the tools were sanitized because the tool package was already open. The nail tech dipped a cotton ball in the water my fingers had been in and wiped off the cuticle pusher and scissors. She then squeezed the cottonball water back into the dish my fingers were in. Made an appointment and they were over 30 minutes late. When I inquired about the wait, my daughters were treated very poorly by the technicians and the rush job was clearly noticed. Absolute worst nail set I've ever seen. Poor attitudes and mismanagement of time. This was a special occasion (Homecoming) so I had booked my appointment in advance. They continued to take walk-ins and not reserve technicians. We will not be back. Absolutely no compensation for our inconvenience was made. Don't go here unless you enjoy poor service and product. I googled next gen nails and Hollywood Nails popped up so I tried them, it happened to be on a Sunday. They offer 25% off spa pedicures. I tried the cucumber foot spa, it was amazing! They used real cucumbers! My feet were so soft and beautiful. I will definitely recommend to everyone! Ask for Tammy she is an expert technician. I come here when I need a pedicure, manicure, or individual lash extensions.  It's always clean and the staff is wonderful.  They greet you by name and there usually is not a long wait.  The chairs are comfortable and the beds cozy.  They always are asking if your comfortable or if you want a beverage, which is great because I feel it shows they care.  I love this place! Super nice place, if it's a weekend you should call ahead and make an appointment. They have about 14 chairs for pedicures and they are the massaging kind. The place is clean and the people are always friendly. They have the largest selection of scents and lotions of any nail place I've ever been. Love coming here to get my feet and nails done. I love it here! Usually very calm & relaxing (unless your child is loud and obnoxious) and everyone does a great job! I usually only do pedicures but I love the organic products! I don't have any allergic reactions to their products.My fave pedicures: sunkissed, mango or rosemary! The rosemary is subtle and does not smell like kitchen rosemary at all.  This girls do great work and are engaging.They offer a free beverage.The chairs are great and I couldn't ask for more!I recommend an appointment because it can get really busy and of course appointments have priority over walk-ins.
