The atmosphere is great, and the salon is very beautiful. However, the nail technician did not go a very good job of making sure my nails were filed straight on both my mani and pedi. I had 2 different people do them and both times the nail tech filed my nails with a slight diagonal slant. Neither one address my cuticles either. Next time, I’ll just stick to my normal salon. I really like their work and the people. The reason for the lower rating is because I made an appointment and twenty minutes after my appointment I was still waiting. However walk-ins that came after me were being taken. I’ve made an appointment before and still waited (although on that occasion I had more time to wait and was eventually seen). The nail salon is very nice, but the service not so much. I went in for pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax. I did not feel welcome at all, and felt extremely rushed during the manicure, extremely. I went in for the first time ever. Very expensive. The lady doing my pedicure did not speak English and I ended up getting a 60 dollar pedi which was no different than any 40 dollar pedis I received anywhere else. The lady doing my nails was a little better, but when I asked for 2 colors she said 5 more dollars. So I told her one basic color and she said 10 more. He literally called the cops on me because I had a American Express ! Then he doubled the price because he didn't believe I would come back and pay for it which made no sense ! Then he lies to the cops and says when I took my card out I said I didn't have any money... the main guy was a butt face to me since I got there and out two people infront of me that just got there after I had been waiting a whole hour ! He was so rude and rushed the whole time. Then he forced me to ge...t gel nails instead of the pink and white I wanted. It was a terrible experience ! How dare he call the cops on a paying customer. About a month ago I went to VIP and had a pedicure that was fine, and gel mani that peeled off in just a few days. They were really busy the day I went in, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming I got a bad manicure bc the technician was so rushed. I love this place! They give you so many options for pedicures ans really pamper you. I love that I'd they are busy they will still put you in a massage chair and get you a drink while you wait for your technician. I did sns for the first time today and she did a beautiful job. I have been coming here to the VIP Nails for over a year (every 2 to 3 weeks) I love the staff they are very friendly and caring to your needs, very good with their pedicures and also their manicures. Very clean and sterile and I have a little bit of phobia about germs, so I feel very comfortable getting my pedicures and manicures here. I will never go anywhere else the owners Steve and Carrie are so heartfelt and warm and inviting. Thank you guys you guys are the best I truly mean that. Went for the first time and the guy doing my nails was more interested in who was coming in rather than doing my nails. They were sloppy and he stuck his finger in the wet top coat leaving it wrinkled and cutting almost every finger and thought it was funny when he put stuff on to make them shine and it burned. Never again. My nails are not even the same length.UP DATE: I was offered a chance to come back at no charge to have my nails redone by the manager. Not only was it a whole different experience I was very pleased with my nails and Steve was great. There was no problem with getting them fixed and he was just the sweetest and professional as he could be. My mom and I came in today during the afternoon. We have always had good to great experiences here except today. When we first started coming, there was a sign posted about English being spoken on the floor. Today there was no sign and no English spoken by either attendant. The management had to come explain everything. Very disappointing. The nails were okay, not as good as usual, but the experience not so much. I like to talk to the person doing my nails and I like them to understand what I want. I sure hope the next time we go in, the usual staff is there as the people today I did not recognize. I will say that because I did not receive a full service due to a surgery, management did discount the service. I thought that was very sweet. Worst experience ever... The guy who did my nails messed up 2 times. He had to redo my no chip manicure 2 freakin times.. He made my nails paper thin. I'm not kidding when I say I was there for 2 and a half hours. He didn't know how to put nail polish on and was doing the thinnest coats. When I told him, "Can you please do extra coats because this isn't the color I asked for" he'd look at me like I'm stupid and then would call another guy over and talk in their language. Not even that, I got home and my nails chipped!!! The nail polish was done horribly, it was all over my skin. Relaxing and very helpful. I get SNS on my nails and have them coffin shaped. Steve is amazing and they always look perfect and last. Lately I've been coming in with nail design idea's I've found on Pinterest and they do an amazing job replicating the picture. I'm not really impressed. I went here months ago to get a gel french manicure.  Within a few days, I was peeling it off like that nail Polish we had back in the 90's. I was in a bind and had to get my nails done again. Big mistake! With in 48 hours, the whites have turned an ugly brown, and some are chipping bad. Not worth my money. Read Less

My complaint about VIP has nothing to do with the quality of their services.I walked out because my friend and I had appointments at 12:15, we informed the receptionist that we were there for our 12:15 appointment, and were asked to sit down and wait. At 1 o'clock, after four or five walk-in customers had already been served, we finally said, "Hey, we had a 12:15 appointment." In a very few minutes, a young man took my friend to a station and begin working on her nails. But we said, "We had an appointment to be done at the same time at 12:15. The reason we make an appointment is so that we can sit together and visit while we are having our nails done." The young man then said, "five minutes." After I had been ignored for another 30 minutes, I told my friend that I was done waiting, and had learned my lesson about VIP spa. I walked out!We will not be back. Read Less

They did the nails for my wedding and they were amazing! I was nervous to go to a salon outside of Austin but they gave us Austin quality at almost half of the cost of the salon that we were going to go too. This nail salon is really, really nice. I was surprised. I came here for a pedicure and was presented with options ranging from basic to deluxe. I opted for the $40 mini deluxe pedicure which took about an hour from start to finish. The nail tech did cut me, which is why I knocked off a star. I winced the rest of the pedicure when she applied various oils and scrubs because it stung. My fave part was the huge glass of blush wine and the fact that when the massage portion stopped she started it up again. Most salons don't. I would come back for sure if I was a local. Read Less

The atmosphere was relaxing. Staff was very friendly, always checking if I was comfortable or needed something. The prices seem a little steep at first but the time spent, quality of products used, and procedure are well worth it. My feet came out beautifully. I will defiantly be back. Read Less
