I got my nails done by the lady with the shortest hair and I highly do not recommend going to get your nails done here unless it's by kelly herself. The lady cut me at least 5 times and my shape (almond) of my nails were uneven and she kept apply coats of white before letting it dry. In other words it was a clumpy mess. Then she used a PINK top coat on WHITE nails. I was there for almost two hours bc she kept getting up and talking to another worker. I went to another nail salon to have them fixed. The lady at regals nails was amazing she trimmed, reshaped, and properly painted with a CLEAR coat. She only charged me $10 bc she felt bad that I was charged $42 for a half assed job. I love Kelly and the girls! Anna always does a great job on my nails and eyebrows. I'm a loyal girl, but when Anna isn't available, Serena never disappoints, either! I've been going here the past few months and they're usually pretty good. That's because I usually get Kelly, Serena, or Heidi. If I get Anna (or if anybody else does), I'm likely to get cut and the SNS nails last a week (usually 3-4 with no noticeable chips). Read Less

Second time in.  Got Ana for nails both times. A bit rough.  Not very friendly.  Nice job second time.  First time not as good.   Pedicure don't know girls name.  Cuticle and massage was hardly detailed.  Got the massage with her rubber gloves.  didn't feel so great having the rubber over my skin.   My appointment was was three services.  They neglected to address that they didn't do the third service even thought I asked Ana and the girl who did pedicure.   Like most salons the chatter between them in another language is uncomfortable.  Will try another salon. I usually don't write reviews but had to on this place because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I also had to give a star in order to write this review, or I would not have given it a star. These people seemed nice, thought they would even offer a drink, (they had bottles of wine stocked & bottles of water), but they never offered any. They smiled at me & acted like they really cared about customer service, all the time they would talk about people in their native language & laugh about different things, (30 years of having my nails done, I understand some of their language). I also saw them looking at the overweight lady. So I am sitting there looking around as I witnessed how dirty the place really was, most of us just take for granted a place will be clean, but not this place. While I was waiting I noticed a Nail Tech finished working on a patron's feet & started working on another patron's feet w/o washing her hands. Now it was time to get my nails done & I started thinking, the Nail Tech never washed her hands after she finished with the patron before me. I sat down to a table that was dirty with the nail clippings and dust from the other patron & a machine that was full of nail powder they used to collect old nail dust. It was over- flowing with the dirty dust which I inhaled & it made me cough. There was also a very dirty white rag she had laying on the table that she used to wipe the table, but w/o any disinfecting spray. Then before my nails started to get worked on, I was asked if I was going to pay with cash b/c the Nail Tech said, they didn't have a credit card machine & when I told her I only had a credit card, she said, "We have the Square we will have to use that". I'm a business owner & the Square is a credit card machine, the only downside with using it, is the business owner pays a small percentage & it's not "cash under the table". At least that is how she made me feel when she asked that question, before I even was going to get my nails done. I decided there were too many bad things going on in this place & kindly declined any service & left. TO YOUR RESPONSE TO ME, WHOMEVER THIS IS: First off, that's soo nice you have been here for 9+ years & I have been here all my life! (What does that have to do with customer service)?! If you are insinuating that I am someone you had to call the police on, that is despicable and just proves what I said about the salon! You really had to call the police on a customer? I would love to hear from that person as to what really happened. Also great on you being voted best salon several times, as -you- said. I vote for things in there too and sometimes I don't, it just means maybe others didn't vote for "their" favorite & you got it, that happens alot. I paid so much money for a simple set and it wasnt worth it! Worst set ive ever gotten. I only tried this place because of the reviews. Its better to find out on your own. I even gave a $10 tip. Big mistake!! My nails fell off they werent even on right or blended in. Read Less

Great place and I highly recommend. We're here on vacation and I loved my nails and pedi. Kelly was on site and did my nails. She was adamant that if I had any problems, didn't like my color, etc to please let them know and they would fix it. Her husband was there helping since it was a busy weekend, and he was so sweet. He brought everyone cocktails and checked us out. I got the SNS/dipped mani for the first time and it was great. The massage on the pedi was long and thorough. Nails by kelly It's a horrible salon to go to if you don't like being called out by the owner. She seems to have no boundaries and is very unprofessional. If for some reason you cannot make your appointment and don't have a chance to call her to cancel she will personally text you and ask you not to call her salon if you're not going to show, then post it on Instagram. This salon, by far, surpasses all nail salons in the Hill Country area. I have lived in this area my entire life and I have tried a lot of different places over the years, looking to find one that fit my needs and finally here it is! I called for a fill and polish change yesterday and they fit me in at the end of the day. I had changed my mind about the design I got and was not 100% satisfied, I called Kelly this morning and asked her if I could come in sometime today for a polish/design change and she accommodated me immediately. She told me to come in then.  I was in and out within 10 minutes for no charge! I brought her some Pecan English Toffee from a chocolate shop down the street just to show my gratitude! I was uncomfortable the whole time I was here. The girl sitting next to me was in fear of being cut again, which made me scared. I started going to the nail place in horseshoe bay next to Julie's and pizza Mia. It's nice clean there and no one is complaining or being bullied into nail decisions they don't want. Kelly also kept my all of my cash change as a tip, when I didn't tell her that was ok.Then she emailed me asking me to take this review down, claiming there was a miscommunication due to the language barrier.. but she can carry an hour long conversation with the locals just fine. My sister, our two daughters and I were doing a mother-daughter weekend in Marble Falls and called for an appointment for four pedis. Kelly was nice enough to open the salon an hour early to accommodate all four of us at once for the milk and honey pedi. We had Serena, Kim, Ann and Anna and all of them were super friendly and very competent. Our feet look and feel great and we felt like we made some new friends.  No fancy decor, no TV, just a comfy massage chair, welcoming vibe, and good conversation! Read Less

My daughter and I were spending a weekend at Horseshoe Bay and decided to try Nails by Kelly based on the reviews.  We thoroughly enjoyed all the ladies working at the salon.  They were all super sweet and gave you their honest opinions.  It happened to be prom weekend in Marble Falls so there were a few high school girls getting their nails done too.  It was obvious that Kelly and her staff are quite popular in the local area.  One of high school girls even tried her prom dress on for us all to have a look.  We had a very enjoyable afternoon and our nails look fabulous!!  We had them do the gel nails so no waiting fordrying - love it!  I highly recommend Kelly and her staff - you will not bedisappointed!!
