I will never come back. When I walked in, I was greeted rudely by just a  "what do you want?" I told them what I needed and they let me pick my color. I needed to soak off my previous nails, but the Acetone was so hot I had to take out my nails because it was burning and slowly put them in and out. When I told the lady what I wanted, she added the tips to my nails but only on the point where my nails were grown out, so if for some reason I did heavy lifting, my nail could have potentially ripped off. The worst part was when I was trying to explain what style I wanted, I had to be moved to a different chair and the guy was very rude. I explained I wanted a Dipped nail. Usually with dip they paint your nail with the primer and dip your finger into the powder and continue to do that till you have full coverage. He then proceeded to dip an acrylic brush into the acrylic solution and then put it in the powder I wanted and even tried to tell me it was the same thing... Confused I stopped him and asked what he was doing and restated I wanted a dipped nail. HE SCOFFED AT ME!! Then said well dip is 35 plus since it's long nail 5 dollars more, then because of nail shape  5 dollars on top of that. (also 5 dollars for removal of prior nails which I expected)  I was going to ask a question when the phone rang and he decides to pick it up and answer. (there were two other people there who could have answered the phone) while talking to the other customer on the phone, he tried talking to me and asking me questions, which I found rude not only for me but also for the person on the other end. After ending the call I told him to remove the tips the lady applied, I wanted to go somewhere else. He huffed and said "OK fine" and proceeded to roughly use the dremel to shave the tip off, leaving the tip still on the tips of my real nail. He did it so rough he took a chunk of my real nail off. He offered for me to go wash my hands but I didn't wash my hands because I wanted to get out of there so bad.This is not the first time I've been here, I've attempted to come to this place once prior for a simple fill and they treated me like they didn't want my business. Never greeted me till it got awkward that I was staring at them for so long.Never come here. Ever. I was debating on whether to write this, but I've had several others tell me of the bad service they received here and I just want people to know what they're getting when they come here. Hopefully this business sees this and decides to change what they're doing. Just because they got new massage chairs in doesn't mean they provide a good service. Read Less

I am so happy to have this little gem of a spot in my neighborhood. Mr. Tom and the rest of his staff work hard to make you feel good every time you walk through the door. Today, Helen really outdid herself. I asked her if she was up to playing a bit with a nail design and did she ever deliver! It's nice knowing I'll leave better than I came every time. I came here to get my nails fixed after another nail salon down the street did my nails and they looked horrible. As soon as i walked in Tom greated me asked me what i wanted done when i told him what happened at the other place he said no problem you came to the right place. he made my nails look a 100 times better and was very sweet! i will for sure be going back to VIP everytime i get my nails done! I went yesterday for the first time. I was immediately acknowledged and asked what I wanted. I had come in for a pedicure and they said they had a 5 off sale of any pedicure 35 or less so I chose the 40 for the price of 35. BONUS! Why not enjoy an even more heavenly experience. So I was very thoroughly taken care of and asked about nails since I hadn't had nails in over a year . I thought it wouldn't hurt to try them again. They owner I guess is the one who took of me and with such precise detail he applied my colored nail tips. They were $38 and although it was a little pricey, the nails he put on we're the best I have ever had. I will be definitely going back. Everyone was very nice and both jobs were done well. Read Less

I had a good experience in the past , the last time I had a pedicure, a young  kooky young man waited on me , I asked for some one who knows haw to remove ingrown nail . He said he is an expert . He cut my toe nail and mad me bleed . I had to ask him to put alcohols !!! he was making fun of me because I was uncomfortable !! and bleeding . He did really bad job polishing my nails I got out with my toe bleeding really bad nail polish . I really had bad experiences. WORST experience, first guy filed my nails unevenly and couldn't understand why I kept asking him to fix them. I kept asking him to cut them down and he'd just keep filing instead. He then started to do a french tip even though I asked for a Shellac in a solid color. Finally, he understood, and got the paint I asked for. Without explanation, he leaves and eventually another guy starts painting them. This one gets red paint from a previous customer onto my nails. Left hand was properly dried and right hand is still wet with paint. Very unprofessional, I wish I could give 0 stars. Read Less

This is the best place I have been to for a pedicure and manicure.  The place has a  clean and friendly atmosphere.  The prices are reasonable and you feel pampered when you leave.  I recommend this place for all to experience when in the Lubbock area.  I was impressed with the service I received.  I will visit this place again for sure. Best pedicure for price in town, and I have tried most places.  Ohni (spelling?) was/is the best pedicure I have had yet, the massage was amazing and just what this pregnant lady needed.  Go for the deluxe pedicure, it is worth the little extra.  They are nice and offer drinks.  You do not need an appointment, they can usually get to IOU very quickly. This is the BEST place I've ever been to to get nails/waxing done.Tom is the owner and once he knows your name he will always know it!  They are so friendly and always helpful.  They are moderately priced and do nails, pedicures, and waxing.  They are always busy, but usually can fit you in.It is one of the best experiences I ever had at a nail salon!  I wish I could bring them with me since I don't live in Lubbock anymore.
