Annie did a great job on my nails. She gave me exactly what I wanted. When I went back to get a fill, Jenny gave me exactly what she wanted and laughed when I expressed I didn’t like it. I never give reviews and I hate to leave anything negative on a business page but I want others to know... I’ve been here three times and every time my nails were never cleaned properly, they didn’t remove my dipped nails properly they actually used an acrylic nail to pry them off (which was very painful and damaged my nails), never cleaned my cuticles or had me wash my hands, and now I have 4 nails with green fungus growing due to this. My doctor said it could take months for them to heal and it’s definitely due to these things. I’m so upset to have had spent money to now have to wait month to have pretty nails again. I’m an mom and a teacher and getting a mani was my one treat to myself. Now I will have to make sure my nails don’t get wet and soak them in vinegar for 30 mins twice a day. Two things which will be very difficult for me. :( please go somewhere else where they will actually take care of you and your nails. Read Less

Paid $75 for a Nexgen mani and Garden Pedi. Both were very rushed. My nails were not shaped at all just a quick file and on they went. She was out of the door right after because she had somewhere else to be. My pedicure was done very unprofessionally for the fact the lady had done a hack job on clipping them and painted my skin to hide what she messed up. I had nail polish all over my cuticles and had to ask her to apply another coat to a few poorly painted ones. They didn’t even sterilize the tools! The tools she used on my feet were tossed into a drawer, she did a quick tidy of the station and was out the door. I recommend going somewhere else. Read Less

Finally took my wife here after driving by a couple of times and she wanted to check it out.  She loved it!  High quality, great service comparable to what we've seen in the Highland Park area near Lovers Lane.What we liked about Tip Top Nails is that it is a smaller boutique place.  All the nail techs seemed very personable and we noticed there was a lot of customization for the ladies that were having their nails done.  My wife's nailed looked great, they looked so high end that even I was impressed and they didn't try to upsell her constantly like the larger nail salons do which makes it a lot easier on my wallet.We'll definitely come back again if we're in the area.  Nothing better than having genuinely friendly people working to make your feel pampered and making your nails look beautiful. I have been going to Tip Top Nail for 4 years.  The Pedicures are so relaxing.  The shop has always been clean and friendly staff.  When I first starting coming here, the owner, Annie she took her time and made sure I was happy with the results.  Prior to her starting on my feet I complained and told her I had short stubby toes and most pedicures don't make my feet look pretty.  She told me that I've been cutting my toe nails too short.  She filed and shaped my nails without taking much nail off.  After painting my toe nails, my feet look much better and not so stubby.  Now my feet always looks great and I get compliments from my friends when I leave this place. Pedicure was a good price, the hours are good, and you do not need an appointment. But overall I did not enjoy my experience. It was very warm inside like there was no air running. I sat for a long time. It seemed like they did not have enough people working. Also, what appeared to be the owner was cursing and telling an off color story.  It didn't bother me but didn't help with my relaxation. The worst part is that my polish didn't even last 2 days. After wearing shoes for 4 hours the nail polish rubbed off one toe and then peeled off. Didn't chip... But literally peeled off in one big piece. Polish was also bumpy and was not good quality. I use this salon when I'm running a little low on money, but still need my nails done. They have an awesome manicure pedicure special for $35. Usually I do Nexgen, but that can get pricey. For the manicure pedicure deal you can't really beat it! Read Less

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had getting my nails done :-/ Service started out fine, but when my hands were put into a bowl of acetone to soak my old gel off for 15 minutes, that should have been a red flag. The service continued to go downhill from there. The technicians kept switching between clients - and disappearing for no reason. All in all, my hands were under the UV light for 45 minutes, I finally had to remove them and was scolded by the technician. My thumb nails are bumpy horrible messes and all of my nails don't go to the cuticle. Very disappointed and definitely will not return again. Read Less

Horrible experience , I went to get a soak off ( which means they take off the acrylic) . Well she didn't do that she just pulled them off which was extremely painful and I even told her that hurts and she gave me a nonchalant sorry! My 7 yr old daughter wanted to get her nails done feet and hands..after much researching and reviews We had a chance to go to great wolf lodge kids spa called SCOOPS we checked it out and for the outrageous pricing and limited abilities it was not worth it so we decided to check closer to home and was recommmend to try Herr so ... We went to tip top nails and worked with julie. She was Awesome ! My daughter was able to have the mani pedi package with a nail design. Julie gave her the works foot massage primping priming awesome hello kitty design on big toe . hand massage with a mani. My daughter felt awesome and I was a happy mom. Money was well spent!
