I've visited this salon many times, but my last visit was very disappointing and painful. Upon arriving, I was offered a drink (water, soda, mimosa, or white wine - all for free) and asked what kind of service I would like. My technician recommended adding a hot wax treatment to my pedicure. She was very friendly, but cut my toe deep inside with the cuticle nipper. It hurt to even put my foot back in the water, but it wasn't bleeding, so I decided to stay. The pedicure proceeded, but I was pretty uncomfortable because of my toe. When I mentioned this to her, she told me to just put some Vaseline on it when I got home. She then brought out the hot wax. I was unfamiliar with this treatment, which turned out to be a plastic bag of hot wax that you stick your foot into and then is sort of tied around your ankle. Apparently I have rather sensitive feet when it comes to temperature; something I learned because of this treatment. If your foot is in water that is too hot, you can simply take it out and the pain stops. However, with hot wax, it just adheres to your foot, even if you pull it out of the bag. My technician was surprised I was uncomfortable, but tried to cool the wax as best she could with cold water. The rest of the pedicure went as normal ones do, but my toe still really hurt. We were able to finish, but I left the salon limping. I put Neosporin on my toe when I got home. However, six weeks later, it's still healing and a little sore. I love a good pedicure, but this was anything but relaxing. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day. It's just not worth trying here again. Read Less
