I was there on Friday like around 11am or 12pm.This is my second time coming to this place. I like how neat it is and how friendly some of the workers can be. However it’s always the same story. I understand that they like to speak in their own language because they understand each other better but don’t sit there and hold a conversation with someone in your language because that’s very disrespectful. Second I went in not knowing what I wanted to get so I was looking and I set my mind to get a new product they have that it said cat something and I told the receptionist I was gonna get it and she said sounds good just wait till someone is available so I waited the guy came and he asked me what I wanted and I told him the halo cat or whatever that name it was so he’s like why that one get this one this one is better pointing at the baskets on the counter and I’m back on square one trying to figure out what I want I try to get shellac and he’s like nooo shellac get powder powder better for you and blah blah so there I go to change my mind because this guy seems to want to do whatever he wants even if I’m the one paying for it. Then he’s doing whatever the hell he wants on my nails and when it comes down to the shape he asks me what kind of shape do you want and I’m like round he’s like round?? Why, round? No don’t get round get squared, squared better for you! I’m like alright whatever, sure. At this point I’m super irritated and I’m trying not to get him upset because once you get them upset they start speaking about you in their language so I sat there and didn’t say anything. The receptionist lady went and check on him and goes you didn’t get the “halo cat” asking me and I’m like, no and I look at the guy and them both start speaking their language so I’m pretty sure the lady receptionist probably didn’t know that the guy was the one that chose everything for me and didn’t let me get what i actually wanted I’m sure he said, she wanted that in his language to her. whenever he didn’t want to do what I asked for. He did what he wanted and didn’t even care to hear what i wanted on top of that he did a sloppy job! I’m not satisfied with the service whatsoever! Read Less

I have gone here a few times because of reviews and I like to go in on Tuesdays for military discount. I get the dipping powder and on like day 3 my nails are chipping. I stopped getting nails done here for a while. Decided today to give it another try because it’s close to home. NEVER AGAIN!!! I couldn’t understand anything the lady was saying. She cut my nails down to nearly nothing, used the power drill on way to high a setting and when she was all done my nails were totally uneven and had ridges. WORST NAIL JOB EVER! Oh and they don’t use sterile tools. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. It sure would be helpful if the techs wore name tags. So to answer your question, I have no name. Read Less

They are overpriced. The nail tech was too rough and when I politely told him that he was being too rough he said something in another language to his co-worker and they both started laughing. Rude much! Like its obvious they were saying something rude and its unprofessional. I will not be going back. I do not recommend this place. I've been coming here for quite sometime and I will say the pedicures are great. However, fulls sets and customer service are not up to par. After giving multiple CHANCES, because of the convenience of the location, I will no longer return. 3 different full sets, from different multiple visits and different technicians, I'm not happy with the outcome for the $40 job. Definitely my new place for shellac manicures! They have an insane variety of colors to choose from, and so far (two sets of shellac) have lasted past the average 3 week timeframe. Treat yourself to a pedicure and they will work on both hands and feet at the same time! The fragranced warming neck pillow that they offer complimentary is a personal touch! Makes you feel like you're at a spa and the massage chairs confirm that. They also offer complimentary drinks and a wine menu. The price is very affordable for the quality of service they provide. My toes do look nice, but the chemical burn I received which was an accident is not cool. Then how I was treated and felt after the fact really blows my mind! This was not my fault and I was treated like it was. I have brushed a lot of things off in life, but being treated poorly will not be one of them. I explained what happened. I will keep all he details between the staff, other customers and myself. ( maybe its from the sun? maybe you have a sun burn??? WHAT!!!! ) I went to the walk in clinic with a first degree chemical burns with blisters on the top of my left foot.No one ever helped me with what happened. I've been here twice and I LOVE it! Kim did my toes and waxed my eyebrows today and she did a great job. I will ask for her in the future. I asked her to rub a little harder because my feet have been sore since its winter and I've been wearing bootsand she didn't mind at all... My toes look so fresh and pretty! The Nail Bar of Texas had a great atmosphere that was very clean. However, I felt rushed from the moment I stepped in. I have a feeling that the nail technicians didn't know that I understood Vietnamese, but I did hear and understand the gossip they were saying about me and my friend. This place is fantastic. I got a full set and pedicure. I have to get nude and natural colors for my fingers because I wear a uniform. I think this is the best my nails have ever looked!!!!I got a full set, powder finish number 144, matte top coat. I asked for the shape by showing a picture of something similar. I walked in a few days ago for a basic manicure without an appointment and got helped out pretty quickly. Pros: the place is clean,  the people are nice, and seems to be very hygienic. They even offer free drinks which is a plus and special discounts throughout the week for different occasions. Cons: my manicure chipped the same day because the layers of paint were unevenly applied. Also, my nails were very uneven after they were filed, and they don't even ask how you want them shaped, she just started filing. One of my nails was extremely lopsided, and now I have to fix it myself. It may have just been the person who did my nails, but since this place has so many good reviews I'll probably give them another chance.  It's just extremely difficult to find consistently good service at a nail salon nowadays. I was getting gas in the same parking lot as Nail Bar when I received a text from my wife telling me she was at Nail Bar getting a pedicure.  I immediately hopped in my car and drove across the parking and joined her for a pedicure.  I have had a few at other places but this was my first time here.  As soon as I climbed into the chair, they offered me something to drink.  The pedicure was awesome.  The chair is a massage chair that provides stress relief around your upper and lower back.  They also do a fantastic calf massage after your pedicure.  The equipment they used is taken out of the sterile bag in front of you.  That is a definite plus.  I do not want to get onychomycosis from someone else's toe cheese.  They also use a plastic liner in the foot tub so you are not putting your feet in someone's foot funk.  I don't blame them for wearing masks.  I'm sure non-visible skin follicles are floating around their nose and mouth when they are scraping your heals with those cheese graters.  Yuck!  The Nail Bar does what seems to be a very good job of keeping things clean between customers.  As far as the prices go, they are slightly more expensive than other places in the area where I have gotten a pedicure.  However, this place is closer to home and the chair seems to give  a better massage than the other place.Bottom line:  Pamper yourself here with a pedicure.  You won't regret it.  Very good job. This is by far the most excellent experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The entire staff is very positive and extremely attentive. Steven was so gentle and listened to every little thing I asked for. I highly recommend getting the Royal Pedicure--awesome aromatherapy to choose from, and the best foot/leg massage I've ever had (yes, even better than my massage therapist!). I love the location of this place, there's a Starbucks next door and it's an easy in and out back to main roads. The ambiance is very Texan/Houston. There is an actual bar you can pick drinks from, I ordered a mimosa and it was pretty strong- loved it! The people here are very kind and the place is clean, but my manicure was awful. He cut my nails downs as far as they would go and didn't shape them even after he asked how long I wanted them. Went here with my bridal party to get our nails done. The place is huge! We called ahead to make sure they had enough staff available and they scheduled us in for mani pedis. BIG MISTAKE!! I decided to visit this establishment for the first time on Sunday, June 18th, wanting a pedicure and cuticle cut down for my hands. I don't usually wear nail polish on my hands. I've never had to, my nails are healthy and strong. At first glance I was impressed. The place was clean and nicely decorated. They offered specialty drinks with your service, however, they were a bit pricey with a basic pedi starting at $30. The pedicure was okay, and I do mean just okay. For the price I expected more and better quality. For $50 they didn't even do rough skin removal on my heels and the polish job was not a good job at all.... On my cuticles they used some type of acid to soften them. They either left it on too long or just used it improperly. Not only did it burn my fingers but it turned my nice nails a sort of nicotine orange everywhere the acid touched. I left with multiple nicks where the skin was cut too deep and now, three days later, have blood blisters formed under three of my very tender finger nails. I won't be going back to this place ever. I just hope I can save someone else from the same disaster. Read Less

The service when we walked in the door was nice, we were greeted quite quickly. However, the techniques and the in result are very very poor. My nails are Miss shaping, the design I want it she couldn't do, they put rhinestones on with a Crayola crayon, and cut my daughters fingernail with a nail file. Went here multiple times - the first time was great - Cindy is awesome. Since that first visit it went down hill every other time. The last time the girls hurt both my hands and feet so badly my toe was bleeding and I finally told the one doing my hands to stop, I couldn't take the pain anymore. The manager called me later after my sister who was with me complained for me. This place is AWFUL. I told Kim I like my nails super square. To the point the edges are still sharp, and I wanted my nails filed on the side and tapered in a little. She told me I needed a new full set so I let her take my nails off. For some reason, she didn't put new tips on and started putting the acrylic powder on my natural nails. My nails are not long and they look stumpy without the tips on. Not sure why I had to pay $50 for a new full set if I didn't get new tips. Kim was rough when she filed and cut my cuticles multiple times. She also can't file straight and my nails aren't even. It's obvious on my thumbs. I've been going to Brittany nail for a long time and my friend and I decided to give Nail bar of Texas a shot and see if it was really worth the hype. I really do love dip nails so they had a one up on Brittany nail there but as far as quality of service, it's severely lacking. Henry did a good job on my dip nails and the pedicure was decent but not worth $45. Not to mention all of the color peeled off my toes is less than a week..... 2 separate times. They have a rewards program which would be great if I didn't have to go back every 3 days to have them fix my toes. I am thankful I read the reviews and was aware of the difference in pricing compared to most local salons but as many others stated.... So worth it!! The sanitary method used with the protective bag placed in tub, the calming environment the friendly staff. My manicure was blah, but my pedicure was great. The warm neck pillow and great massage chair. The fruit infused pedicure spa the nice shining neat polish not dull or spotted. My eyebrow shape up was great not too thin and not misaligned, my tech was Ivy for pedicure and eyebrows and she was great! The tech for my manicure was nice she just didn't polish with an appropriate polish I wanted clear so I think she only used a base coat and top coat and not a polish because I got home washed my hands and it was all peeling off. Solid meh. To their credit, they have a large selection of dip powder colors and were able to accommodate me as a walk-in on a busy afternoon. But: the nail tech used a too-large tip on one nail, and it adhered to my skin and hurt. She also insisted on using the drill and filed down the underside of my natural nail, weakening it. On top of all that, the mani barely lasted two weeks and started peeling. I might try a shellac from them eventually but overall not impressed.Updated: I gave them another shot - the nail tech I got didn't seem to understand the process and forgot a step or two for my dip powder mani. Again, there was the drill problem - I got the mani a month ago, and my nails are still recovering from that. I think I'm going to skip coming back - I've been soured on dip forever thanks to them. Wonderful service and salon. Tony did my sisters nails today and you can see for yourself that they look amazing! He really listened to what she was wanting and offered his professional opinion. He even put gel on a fake nail so that she could see what a powder color would look like once applied. Talk about going out of the way to make a customer happy!!! :)All in all we spent about an hour to hour and a half here today. The free wifi helps pass the time. They also have about 6 tv's all playing the food channel and speakers playing the current hits. FYI: Make sure to ask and sign up for their rewards program. You earn money towards your next service.
