I went on the recommendation of my aunt, and the lady wanted to first peel off the NexGen nails I had on. I kept telling her no, soak them off. It was starting off badly. The nails were not soaked off like they should have been, but there was no peeling of my nails off. When she did apply the powder to my nails, she filed them so thin that within 3 days they were chipping off. I know that this review date is far from the actual date I went to K Nails, but I am just now getting over my extreme displeasure. I now have to spend another 35$ to get my nails fixed and done the correct way; I usually can go 5-6 weeks between appointments and I have to redo my nails a mere 3 weeks later. Read Less

HORRIBLE! I was visiting from San Antonio and it made me miss my nail ladies back home! First off I made an appointment for my niece the day before and got there at the time of the appointment and I waited 30 mins before they sat her in a chair. She then sat there for another 5-10mind until someone finally attended her. It honestly seemed like they don't know how to give people wait times or admit when they are full they just kept seating people when they didn't have the workers to do the job...Oh and the cherry on top... while the lady is FINALLY doing my nieces nails her son came up to her and showed her something on the phone he was playing on and she not only stopped what she was doing but she actually stood up walked over to her coworker and showed her the video too!! Horrible. I went in to get a dip powder set on my real nails.... the man that was doing my nails was in a rush and jumping back and forth between doing my nails and another lady's.... needless to say he did mine in such a rush he didn't even do them right, and had to buff off the nail Polish top. There was powder and fingernail polish all over my nails and he told me that, "I didnt wash my hands good enough." No. He was lazy and applied nail Polish all over my finger. Hethen he applied a shellac gel top. I've had my nails done in dipping powder many times and they have never applied a shellac top. I will not be going back to this place. Read Less

I just went to this place and it was perfect! Definitely recommend it. -I don't know what all the disses are about, considering my nails look amazing. Maybe the staff was different then and now the shop has been improved. (I heard all the rumors about the owner having a chain of nail salons in town. I asked him and he said he only have 2 (K-Nail and the other one i cant rememberbut definitely it was something rhymes with "one" :s) and it wasn't K, Q, A or any other alphabet letters,maybe other salons copied the idea to get more fame) -Hope you find this review useful :) Read Less

--SEE PICTURES--This place is just awful. I've given it two chances over the last two months, and my experience has just gotten progressively worse. The first time I went, I waited almost an hour. I was there getting gel nails with two girlfriends (they got pedicures). Had I not been there with them, I would have left. We arrived about thirty minutes after they had opened so it was not full by any stretch of the imagination. My friends were seen immediately, while I waited as the staff spoke amongst themselves. I understand that not all employees do gel nails, but I sat there watching an employee who did gels work on another customer, finish with her, and I was still left waiting for thirty minutes after that. The nails came out ok. It was rushed, & nothing to write home about. My experienced was soured by the poor customer service but my friends enjoyed themselves so I chalked it up to a bad first impression. Fast forward to a few days ago. I went for gel nails again. This time I was seen immediately. The one star is for the abysmal work. AGAIN, PLEASE SEE PICS!!The technician was more than rough. She left my cuticles bleeding and uneven. The blood stains are semi permanent as she absentmindedly sealed them with the clear gel polish. The white French tips are uneven-I'm pretty sure I could have done better lines than this so-called professional. Now I'm left with sore fingers and nails that any child could have painted on me.I will not be back, and I strongly suggest you consider going elsewhere. I had heard from the lady at Q nails that one owner has K, Q, J, and A nail salons in Laredo. They stand for King, Queen, Jack, and Ace b/c the owners like to play cards. This place didn't have a sign in sheet, which I think could have helped some of the confusion. My technician was a little rough, but she was under the gun to keep the line moving. Read Less
