I went in to the Knot on April 28, 2018 and Shea did my hair. I showed her a pic of the color I wanted (which was close to platinum blonde). Mind you, my hair is already naturally light blonde. I requested a full highlight and noticed that when she was foiling the back, she was doing it in huge chunks (I've never had anyone do this). I didn't say anything. By the time she was done and rinsed my hair and sat me back down in the chair and took off the towel, I noticed my hair looked really dark. I didn't complain because I was her last client of the day and they had closed already. (she even stated ("it will probably take a couple of times to get you to the color you want") Uhhhh..... no, I have never had anyone have issues with getting my hair light. I decided to give it a day and see if it grew on me. Well, it didn't, and my hair actually looks darker than it did, than it had when I went in to have it done. I went to work and the ladies that I work with couldn't even tell I had anything done, except for the huge pieces that she did at first in the back underneath and the leopard spot of blonde on the side of my head. I called the knot and asked to speak with the manager and she told me that she would have the other manager call me back because she specializes in nails and the other manager specialized in hair. Well....an hour or so later, I get a text from Shea (my hair dresser) saying....."Hey Darlin (wow), I got word that your not
happy with your hair, I'm so sorry about that. I'd love to have you come back in and consult with me and my mentor so that I can do your hair again and give you something closer to what you want. I agreed to come back in, but couldn't do so in the middle of the day, as I work a 8-5 job....So, after giving me some time frames during my work hours that doesn't work for me, I offered to take off work a little early to go back in. (A few hours later) She responded with this.......So, I have talked to my mentor and "I have decided" while I know you do not like your hair right now, I would like you to wear it for a week and text me on Saturday, so we can see how you feel about it. I think the glaze I put on your hair after the highlights is going to wash out and that's going to make your highlights brighter. If on Saturday, your still not happy with it, then you can come back in and I can fix it for you!!! So, here is my problem....Not one time did I get a call back from the "manager" that was supposed to get back with me nor did she call to see if the situation was resolved. Secondly....She "decided" on her own that she wanted me to wait and see if my hair would lighten up, instead of asking me if that was okay......Well, it's not going to, because it's DARK...Not even close to the blonde that I wanted. Also, the girls at the front desk have no customer service skills and they are not friendly at all. I won't be going back.... Read Less
