I've been going to Venetian for awhile. I always make an appointment and have never had to wait. It's clean, organized and efficient. They greet me by name when I arrive and are always accommodating. Beau and Diana are the best. They are the reason that I go because this honestly isn't a cost effective spot. It's expensive and the parking is awful. There's a nail salon on every corner but service is important to me. Beau and Diana always give great service and conversation. Quy was my go to during Diana's maternity leave. He is great too. The salon is beautiful AND they're open on Sunday. My daughter has had some not so great experiences - not everyone is good with kids but she's a bit of a princess. Everytime I have been here thre technicians have done a wonderful job. It is the only place I am comfortable getting my eyebrows done in a hurry, because all of the technicians are great. It is more expensive, but you get what you pay for in quality. Read Less

This review is not for the staff but unfortunately about the management... My daughter and I were at the LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch location yesterday, March 19. Knowing that they close at 6PM on Sunday, I first called the location to confirm if they are still taking customers. It was right about 5:18 when I called. We were actually already in the vicinity and just a few minutes walk away. The person on the phone told me that If we can get there in the next 10 minutes then the...y can still take us. We got there at 5:25. We were taken care of and the staff who worked on us were very friendly. The lady showed us the price menu and my daughter and I both got the basic mani/pedi with Shellac nail polish on my daughter's nails and toes. The other staff was still finishing up with my daughter's pedicure and I decided to go ahead to pay for our service. The total for both of us was $121.00. I asked for the breakdown of the charges and young lady in the cash register who was helping me was explaining that because it was getting late and they were getting ready to close that they had to assign 2 staff to each one of us instead of just one and so we did not get the combo price. And I said, "Oh so what's the difference" she said it was $3 more. I very politely replied to her that for future reference, it would have been nice to mention it to the customer beforehand because the menu price that the staff showed me was the combo price. Suddenly the male person who most likely is the manager standing beside the young lady at the cash register very rudely interrupted and said "JUST GIVE HER THE $3 DOLLARS!" with a very rude hand gesture for me to go away! I replied "Excuse me? I hope you did not get offended by my suggestion because I am also a business owner and I know it's common courtesy to let customers know beforehand if they are getting charged extra for a something". And again , the male person very rudely replied "WE'RE JUST NOT GOING TO TAKE LATE CUSTOMERS ANYMORE NEXT TIME!" My jaw almost dropped to the ground because that was such a very very UGLY thing to say to a customer. I want to like this place. It is nice, clean, the staff is nice and I think the quality of the products are good. However, my nails don't look that great at the end. I have tried both dip and powder nails. The product either gets left on my skin and looks messy or my nails look bulky and too thick. I know they can do more natural looking nails. I have seen the photos on their site. Can someone please refer me to a technician? I have only gone as a walk-in so far. I have been 4 times. Thank you! Read Less

I do love the variety of colors and options they've got. Girls are mostly professional and do nice and neat job but I hate when I get my nails done by their boys. (it just turned out this way I'm not a sexist)They are literally painting my nails as if it is a fence and then remove the extra shellac with their finger nails. As a result the air gets under the coat from the sides of the nails and it breaks on the sides plus the bottom of the nails comes out uneven (I used to do nails myself so I know what I'm talking about) :( Read Less

Worst nail salon I've ever been to. Nice looking place but all of the staff, including managers were all in a hurry (& it wasn't even packed). Both ladies did a rush job on my manicure & pedicure. The lady who did my pedicure cut BOTH of my big toes to the point where they were both bleeding after she was done, & the job she did was HORRIBLE. I had paint on my toes & the nail polish was clumpy. Back to both of my toes bleeding (& not just a little cut, my left big toe was literally gushing blood out slowly when I'd walk). Very nice atmosphere, professional, clean, patient technicians as I was picky about what color, what process. Offered me a drink, full arm and hand massage after nails applied, awesome pedicure. The only thing I would prefer (and this isn't a negative) is not to have my hands done the same time as my feet. I'd rather lie back and enjoy the pedi to its fullest extent instead of one hand, crossing over with the other, back and forth. And parking was a pain in the behind. I came here once last year, and I had a very bad experience. I decided to give it a second chance today, and I was right to not like this place the first time. I noticed that they work for speed rather than quality. I got a shellac manicure and it was bumpy, so I asked them to fix it. When they did paint over it with a top coat, it became very streaky and uneven. They just rushed every time so the finish product wasn't pretty. I also got a basic pedicure and it was just not pretty. I almost think they didn't finish but had to leave for another appointment so they said they were done. She helped me with colors and was patient while I was being indecisive, she explained everything and all the up charges before she proceded. The spa itself is nice. I had Nancy, and she did my manicure. Throughout my experience here, I was bumped by a woman, and had my chair pushed in by another customer. I will not come back, as my nails look worse than when I came in there. She left nail polish on my hand, and all my nails are warped looking. The whole process was rushed and not relaxing. Avoid this place like the plague, they are greedy and money hungry, they ruin my real nails that took weeks to grow and I was told the manicure would be free to compensate for their mistake. At checkout the clerk came out with all kinds of cheap excuses for the chargers of the manicure. First time at this place. I took off 2 stars because one of the guys at the front desk kept coughing without covering his mouth and thats like so super gross. Makes me question how sanitary this place is. The pedicure was a little pricy and they charge extra for a french. But they do offer you wine so that was good. Cindy did my pedi. She did a good job and was very nice and made me laugh.Not sure i will go back because i dont want to get sick from  employees coughing everywhere, especially if your the one checking people in and out. The cashier didn't know how much my little sisters nails cost so she asked the nail artist who said $50 for French nails NOT FAKE JUST NORMAL. WORST PEDICURE EVER!!!!  I had high hopes for this place because of it's size and locations, but I will never go back.  The massage part of the pedicure was nice, but I will need my toes redone in a week.  I can still see my old polish around the edges, I chose a dark color and the guy didn't apply enough coats so you can see through on some spots and there are spots that didn't even get painted!  He cut one toenail crazy crooked and then he cut some of the others so short that they are beginning to dig in to my skin and I am  having to either clip or file them as they grow a bit.  You can tell the top coat doesn't even cover the entire nail.  I decided to contact them through email to complain, but never got a response which I feel is also bad business.  I won't be going back.  There are many, many more nail places that will do a better job. I have been to about 10 salons in Katy and I have found the ONE!  The dips are beautiful and prefect thickness.   Some places are just so thick and look horrible.This time I requested ombre and she nailed it. Every time I go, I am more impressed.  Other salons won't even try ombre with dipping powder. The pedicure was terrific and not rushed.   Even though there were many people there, I felt as though they were focused on me as a client.I highly recommend Tia for nails and Vicky for pedicures. I've been coming here a long time. They are consistently good. Nice clean place. I usually get dip. This past time I went I wanted an ombré accent nail. The lady did my pinky before I could stop here. I guess she thought that I wanted all of my nails ombré. I let her go. They were a little too snazzy for me but I figured what the heck, live a little! I asked her to keep my nail shape the same but a little narrower. I also got a basic pedicure. When I checked out I was shocked by the price, $103! I asked for an explanation. Apparently they up-charged me $10 for the shape? They had never up-charged me before and I get the same shape every time. She told me that I had been undercharged in the past... I've been here like 10 times. Okay. Apparently, the ombré was an additional $20! Holy cow! $75 for dip. I was used to paying $45. I explained that I wasn't happy but they don't really care. Ken is rude and rough . He filed my nails so roughly it hurt , he needs more training with customer service and glitter shelac application, my cuticles are covered in glitter. I complained and no one fixed it either , the front desk was completely unhelpful . I come to this salon every two weeks and spend close to $3400 per year here , you would think I would get better service . So I guess I have to find a new salon, me and the Venetian are breaking up . After reading the majority of the reviews I decided to schedule an appointment hoping it would be a better experience for me. I scheduled an appt for 5:30pm. It was until 6.10pm that they set me down. I asked why was it taking a long time and they said have other in front (isn't that the purpose of an app). I requested for a fullset with shellac color. The lady tells me its $40. Once I sit down and the tech starts working on my nails and shaping them she tells me its a $10 additional charge bc I wanted coffin shape and plus $5 shellac. I would have thought that the $40 included everything. I was wrong. I was told it included the service and nails. What!?! Seriously! Just awful customer service and they are not professional. This review is long overdue. I have been coming to this place for several months now and I love it. I have tried difference services, from acrylic and dip powder, to pedicures and massages and I have never been disappointed. The only time when I had a problem with a manicure (two acrylic nails that started to come off after a couple of days) I called back and they told me to come in and got a complete full set for free.I always get my sets done with either Kelly or Natalie and they are both great. Although Im sure everyone in there is good at their job. Every time I go in my nails will look awesome for as long as I keep them (3 or 4 weeks even).Overall everyone is always nice and friendly. David, one of the managers is awesome and so are Cristy and Jessica, the girls from the front.I have recommended this place to all of my friends and family and never have I gotten any bad feedback. I got my nails done this morning here. Very clean environment. Got my nails started right away. Quy helped me pick out the color I was looking for and suggested I try the dip powder. He did an excellent job. Worked quickly and my nails came out amazing! However, I did not get my cuticles done or any of the typical "manicure" things you get at every salon. If you want that you need to pay for the manicure service on top of the service requested (shellac, acrylic, dip etc.). For the dip service I got, I paid $45.00. I find that pricey since most nail spas in Katy charge under that (under $35) and will include a manicure prior to applying the dip powder. Read Less

Been twice. Each time I asked for a design on my nail and they just completely ignored me and I had to ask several people before I got what I wanted. This past time I got my nails "dipped" and they did nothing to me nails to prep them like push the cuticles back so they already look like they have grown out. I had them done TWO days ago. I also went with friends and my nail tech kept getting super upset when I would move a tiny bit to talk to a friend, for what I paid I think she could have been nicer! That being said there are a few people that work there that are amazing, and make you feel welcome; however, it's a toss up if you get a cranky person who doesn't listen, is rude, cuts you, etc. or a great worker who listens and accommodates everything! Review for Diana would be 5 stars! But for the store overall it went down to 4. I've gone multiple times with different techs, and it was all mediocre jobs with the pedi and mani. I even tried dipping powered here which looks even but the top near cuticle was see through...so it kind of bothers me. Diana hands down best pedicure! Very patient and friendly. The only one that truly makes my heels smooth and shape my nails straight. I also recommend Jenny, she does my boyfriend's pedi and is very patient and friendly also. Yesterday I went to this nail salon for refill/pedi only to find out my appointment was entered incorrectly that I made 3 days prior. I only go to this salon for Tia! She's wonderful! However, when I expressed disappointment about the error, the owner David (blond hair) spoke to me like I was a dog! He was very rude, loud and unprofessional! I can't imagine he would treat a customer that had been coming to this location over the last four years in this manner! I was humiliate...d and embarrassed! I was the only black in the salon at the time as well! I would have left but I had an event to attend! It's very unfortunate because I really like Tia's work! As a minority to another minority I'm disappointed with David's reaction! Everyone around the counter stopped and watched as he carried on! As an owner of a business what a terrible example he put forward for his employees to observe! So, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone because if you express any kind of dissatisfaction you might be a victim of David's rage, unprofessional and disrespectful response! I drove from the Galleria to Katy to try Venitian. My friend swears by it. Mai did my full set. She did a great job! I was unsure of the color I wanted so she chose 4 nude ish pink shades. (That's literally what I told her I wanted lol) She was very gentle and didn't cut my cuticles at all. Chloe did my pedicure. I got the signature spa with tropical sented scrub. A few of my friends have gone here and since the person I normally go to was all booked and my niece wanted to go for her birthday I decided to give it a try. The place is beautiful when you walk in and the girl at the front desk was nice. My niece and I went to pick out a color and we were being rushed by the staff. They put the wrong color on my nieces nails and my nails were filled with air bubbles and one was ...so crooked after she was done she had to go back. Then she told me that it was a refill and she couldn't fix. When I made the appointment it was for a new set. I just assumed that she did the refill because she didn't feel like a needed a new set. I enjoy sitting in the massage chair listening to soothing music, and smelling fresh lavender while getting a hot stone massage and my nails filled. I've been going here for almost 2 years now and have brought my family and friends too. They offer many services and I've been able to experience the manicures, pedicures, waxing, and facials. Today was my first time ever in this nail salon and I'm absolutely amazed. I've never walked out of the nail salon so happy every since I started getting my nails done. This is the only place I will be going to even if it is a 10 minute drive!! AMY Is my girl to go to now!!!
