If I could would leave 0 stars it was horrible. Paid $72 for powder and hombre nails, and pedicure. My pedicure was great but my nails look crappy they look like how I do them at home on any regular basis. The girl could not do the ombré on my nails she did not did great. I show her a picture on how I wanted them but she kept messing up. I should of just but $15 fake nails with the design on it from the pharmacy store instead I spend $45 plus $5 adding the glitter when the glitter was not even much on my nails would of been a special type of glitter this would of been included with the $45 but they over charge. My friend left mad from this place as she normally gets them long and they wanted to charge her $5 more for keeping them longer. The lady charge her $5 more for her nails because she also show her the picture with glitter but she did not put any glitter on it she put regular nail polish gold. It look like black little eggs and one gold egg. please don’t go. Don’t go I feel bad that I spend so much for a special event with my nails being like that. I was a loyal customer here since their opening. Over the years, I have had several technicians. I’ve dealt with my fingers being cut by many of them. Most recently, I had the worst work ever. My acrylic nails were done so poorly that they started chipping off the next day. Within a week, three of the nails were broken. Also, I was told they had a loyalty club that would pay out for every $100, but never received any rewards?? Very high priced too. Read Less

The nail salon is very clean and always looks very nice the employees are very sweet and  ever rush you through the service. For the most part they are good with the detail and if you see something you don't like they will fix it without acting put out about it! I've been here several times as I do not like to review on just one visit however I have only used 2 different techs I cannot remember the gentleman's name but that lady I have had is Anna and she is great! I was visiting some family nearby for my birthday and It was my first time visiting half moon nails, it's a beautiful spot next to Walmart in Katy. I was greeted by the receptionist who asked me what I needed for the day and all I was going in for was a powder set. It seemed that they prioritized people who needed pedicures because I had to wait for about 20 minutes until someone came to start on my nails, about 5 people came in after me for pedicures. I had heard they had plenty other things to drink besides water but all I was offered was water. I'm over age and would have happily said yes to a glass of wine, but I'm not a person to ask for much so I didn't mind it. After those 20 minutes of waiting I was finally greeted by the girl who would be doing my nails, Sam, who was fairly nice but didn't speak much. I really wanted to go with a purple ombre but she wasn't too inclined into suggesting that option, and I think it's because she didn't know how to do it. So I settled for a purple coffin shaped powder set. I really felt like Sam rushed through to getting my nails done, she hurt me a little bit at times and by the end of the session one of my cuticles was bleeding a little bit. I'm not that upset but I wish she would have taken a little more time. I give it three stars because I like to feel like a queen at nail salons and this wasn't really a place for that feeling, it's as if they just do their job and that's it, passionless. Worst place ever! started peeling up after 4 days. Wouldn't refund me and manager wouldn't return phone calls. Wanted to call the cops on me because my 2 yr started getting tired and screaming will I wait on him to talk to me! Told me she was my responsibility and he will not refund me and she would just have to wait to everyone was done with screaming or the cops could come! Also lied and yelled out I was there 13 days before and it was honestly the 25th but I live a ways out so didn't come right away! Half Moon just a lost a customer. Been a loyal customer since they first opened in Sept. 2015, up until yesterday when I had the worst pedicure experience ever. Deluxe pedi I always get was no where near that. The tech "Andy" barely went through the motions and in less than 30 min was already painting my toes. When I explained my dissatisfaction at check out there was no apology, no attempt to make it right, in fact I was pretty much called a liar and told that they would review the tapes because they have cameras. The lady at the front argued with me and demanded I pay for services I didn't receive. I offered to pay for a basic, which I didn't even get that and was being more than generous offering to pay at all. You would think after all the money I have spent there and always tipped well too they would value me as a customer since I have never complained or had a bad experience, no I was threatened that they would call the police on me if I didn't pay full price, told I had to wait for the owner to come and review the tapes and treated with such disrespect. I would also think they wouldn't want a scene in the lobby for all the other customers to see but apparently not. Still horrified at the whole experience and that they would treat a customer this way. NEVER WILL STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! It was my first time here. It was good. I'd have to say. They are a bit on the pricey side due to their location. However you get complimentary drinks ( mimosas, wine, daquiris and etc. ) when you are getting your nails or feet done. I got a pedicure & I got the basic pedicure and it was good. Then they tell us they don't do appointments on Saturday's, but whoever made my appointment earlier in the week obviously didn't know this?! So they seat us at a nail table after a wait, then they moved one of us to a pedicure chair, then they were moving my mom away from me to the other side of the room. This was supposed to be part of her Mother's Day present and this place ruined it. I've been in here twice before when customers were arguing with the "manager" and they also left upset. The "manager" was involved in this situation today and she did nothing to resolve this situation. It's unfortunate because I absolutely love the nail tech Mia, but now I will not be back to see her because of how this salon is run. It's too pricey for the customers to be treated so crappy. Amazing! I went for a full set, coffin-shaped, as natural as I could get, and my nails turned out beautifully and exactly how I wanted them! MIA is incredible! The salon is so nice inside, classy decor but most importantly, incredibly clean. Should you desire an adult drink during your spa experience, they have wine and daiquiris. Everyone is friendly, it is quiet inside - relaxing - as it should be. I would highly recommend this salon and will be coming back. You pay for what you get! Read Less

The owners Hannah and Danny are so friendly! The establishment itself is classy and feels high end. I always love the services I get and haven't been to another place in Katy in a year. They are great at what they do so yes, it gets busy! If you're in a rush go at a non- peak hour time... or just be patient because they will get you started as soon as possible. This is my go to nail place. I have been a customer since they opened and have always been pleased with the service I have received. Danny cares about his salon and always does what he can to make each customer feel welcomed and taken care of. They have some great techs! I love Anna and Eva and my daughter loves Ryan. Hanna and Danny also do a great job. I'm very picky about the shape of my nails and all of these people do it right. Their color selection from regular nail polish to shellac and powder is awesome. The salon is clean and comfortable. They also have a great reward system. I believe for every $100 you spend, you get $10 off, but double check that. I always recommend an appointment, but walk-ins are welcome. You just may have to wait a bit if they're busy. If you're looking for a new place, you won't be disappointed!! Read Less

Hands down, the BEST nail salon experience I've ever had! From the moment I walked in I was greeted like I'd been coming there for years. I was offered a drink (who doesn't want a mimosa at 11AM?) and a pedicure chair immediately. Eva gave me the best pedicure I have ever gotten! We just recently moved to the area and I've been searching for a salon for my daughter and I to get pedicures at. I looked on Yelp and Half Moon had excellent reviews, plus it was close to our house. They didn't disappoint in the least bit! They took their time and did an excellent job on our feet! Probably one of the best, most relaxing pedicures I have ever had. I took my 13 year old daughter to get solar nails for the first time as a holiday treat. This was our first time there and I was completely impressed with how beautiful and relaxing the environment is not to mention how nice everyone was. Danny made my daughters experience a pleasure for her and eased a lot of her anxiety with his very sweet disposition. The polish selection was everything you could think of and the pedi chairs looked great! I loved that they only use the files & buffers once so they offer them for you to take with you if you like. I cannot wait until our next chance to come, now that I feel comfortable Im already thinking a Girls day with my mom and daughter! Read Less
