Very Disappointed - NEVER going backI have been going to 20 nails for over 2 years.  I was so excited when I had finally found such a great staff who did an excellent job on shellac nails, until today! I have very healthy nails and had tried  locations all over the area but they never seemed to last.  Once I found 20 Nails I was sold, I never went any here else.  I usually would get pedicure and every other time a shellac manicure, they always did such a great job to the point they would last 3 weeks even though my nails grow fast.  I'm not sure if they have had a change in management, I haven't seen  Kayla in a while.  And now that I'm reading the previous reviews it looks like they have. I had a shellac manicure and pedicure done, not even a week into my Manicure starting to chip but I didn't have time to go in.  I called in to find out how much it would be to just have the 5 nails that were now peeling replaced but was told to come in so they could look at them.  So I wrapped up my day to make it over before 5:30 to have them tell me that they had grown out too much in just 10 days and they don't guarantee anything after 7 days, so I'd need to get a whole new shellac manicure, they wouldn't just fix the ones starting to peel.  I understand the no guarantee after 7 days, but you could have told me that on the phone vs making me come in.  You clearly were not going to fix just the ones that were coming off when I called that morning, so your hope of getting me in the door to pay for a whole new set didn't work and now you  have lost a customer and I will look for a new location that values my loyalty, my time and my money! Worst manicure ever. The lady cut me twice and one of them was a very deep cut, the towel was stained with blood and instead of saying "I'm sorry" she was just trying to fold the towel hiding the blood from me. Still don't know why I paid for that manicure. Read Less

Changed ownership before the end of 2016. Kayla and most of the original staff are no longer there, and the salon has declined.  Not a happy place to relax now.  My last pedi was given by an older woman I have never seen before, and she was not happy to be there.  Poor job on feet and beat my shins ( I am not a princess by any means, but I told her that it hurt!).  Going to find new place. I wanted to try a new salon and I am so glad I did! They took their time and and my nails/toes are perfect. They also give you a shoulder massage along with an arm massage. I definitely felt pampered after leaving! The staff was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. Read Less

Lee took care of me. I had a shellac manicure here. She was very swift and detailed and gave me a nice hand, arm, shoulder and neck massage.  Total visit was about 45 min from walking in to walking out. No complaints! Read Less

Had my first gel manicure today and Mia did a terrific job! She answered all my questions & my nails are beautiful! The coverage is exceptional, going to the cuticle and sides. She Is very neat in her work. The arm & neck massage were nice as well.My pedicure was done by Jacky and she too did a wonderful job!! Loved my leg massage and she was so meticulous in her work. Their salon is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The customer service and prices, however, are bad. I was late to my appointment, but they still took my friends and me. Being late is definitely not a good way to start off an appointment, but it was an honest mistake an our whole experience should not be ruined because of a few minutes. Their attitude got pretty rude afterwards. They talked about us in a seemingly derogatory way in Vietnamese. The manicure and massage they gave me were alright. The nail polish chipped after three days and they made the massage rougher and also rushed it all. Everything was approximately $45.I came back to remove my acrylic nails that I got done at a different salon. They were EXTREMELY rough and hurt my nails so much. I just happen to try this new nail salon because my usual salon had a long wait. When I walked in, I noticed the cleanliness and beautiful decor. Kayla opened this store after running Mason Nails. I cannot express how much I love this place! It's my favorite nail salon, by far. My first time visiting, I wanted to try a shellac manicure. I received the most thorough cuticle care and my technician paid special attention to the dry spots on my hands, making sure not to get any rough chemicals on the cracked areas surrounding the nail. She was super sweet and after she finished the manicure, I was given a little massage with a scented lotion of my choosing. A month later, I came back for my birthday with my sister to get a pedicure. Talk about relaxing! They go the extra mile with everything they do. Super clean establishment with brand new, packaged  nail tools every visit. I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone who values cleanliness and superb service! Read Less

The customer service  is horrible.  You walk in to be greeted with mad/angry faces.  The best thing about this place which is why I give them 2 stars is their  shellac options are better than other places and they use a liner for their pedicures. If you must go or try this place make an appointment  as they don't always welcome  walk-ins. Great place.  Great job. Why two stars not male friendly.Wife loves it but everytime I go with her they dont have space for me. So now I will not go anymore. They are OK. It seems like they specialize in Shellac based on the previous reviews and photos, but I got a full set w/regular color. My nails were done by a guy, I asked them if they did oval shaped nails because that's the new trend nowadays and they all just looked at me like I was crazy.  So I just got the square shaped which are VERY square, you can tell my nails are fake. The paint job was blah....it started chipping off the next day. The pedicure was the best part, I loved the hot stones.  The facility is very clean and well kept. Read Less

I just had the best manicure ever!! I love shellac but I have a few pet peeves. One of them being when they don't get all the way to the cuticle with the color, and that they don't get close to the cuticle on the sides. Not only did Thao thoroughly clean my nails (and by thoroughly I mean I've never had someone do such a great job on my cuticles), but she shaped them PERFECTLY. She took her time, and did a fantastic job. The neck massage was a wonderful surprise at the end. She even gave me a super cute design for my accent nail. I will definitely be going back!The price is the same ($30) as any other salon around the cinco area. It was clean (I saw them using liners for pedis) and my mani tools came front a sterilized pack. I have seen  numerous 5 stars given and am still curious why?! They are EXPENSIVE and not as good as other Yelpers have pumped them up to be. I have also seen many Yelpers and customers in the salon get neck massages, I've been 3 times and have yet to get this massage! A good pedicure to me includes cuticle treatment/removal, toenail cleansing and callus/dead skin removal. Cuticle treatment: They are not thorough. I get pedi's religiously because my cuticles grow quickly. I expect them to cut away dead cuticles around the toenail. My pedicurist did not do this. Toenail cleansing: After cuticle treatment I expect my toenails to be cleaned. By that I mean taking the tool and using it to clean out the underneath part of the toenail. My pedicurist did not do this. Callus/dead skin removal: I do not have a lot of dead skin that needs to be sanded since I get pedis often, but I my big toes do need attention. This was the only part of my foot that needed attention and it was skipped over with a few little strokes of the pumice stone. Granted they have a nice selection of lotions and scrubs but they cost 10$ extra! My lotion smell is NOT that important since I'm just going To wash it off in the shower anyway. A normal pedi w/out all of the bells and whistles should cost around $20-25. Their regular pedi starts at $28. I think they boosted these prices up because of their Cinco location. Lastly, I am a fan of nail art. I think that it is artistic and makes my feet look cool. When I asked about their design options they gave me a sample thingy with fake nails on it which all had some sort of flower. I asked if they could do a custom design if I showed them a picture. She told me that they don't need to learn designs because people who live over here (Cinco) don't like them. HELLO! I live around the corner, in walking distance! Anyways. The best pedicure I've ever had. These girls take their time, and I see why it's worth it! Having lived in LA for almost 10 years now, it's like they turn you out of the nail salons there. I'm used to a Mani pedi in A little over an hour. It took about an hour to just have the pedicure. Their massage chairs are top-notch, the whole salon is well-maintained, very clean. They have an excellent variety and selection of nail colors. Great quality too. When you walk into the salon it didn't smell like nail solvent or chemicals. I will be back!! Read Less

Thank goodness I checked Yelp before I went to get my much anticipated mani-pedi. I was a regular at Mason Nails and found out by trolling the Yelp pages that they sold their business and opened a new salon in Cinco Ranch off Spring Green & Cinco Terrace Dr.I love the name of their new place... 20 Nails. Simple and chic!  When you walk in, it's very modern, has beautiful lighting and very clean.  No blaring TV or unsolicited chit chat.  Peaceful and tranquil.  The massage chairs are tops! You literally melt into them.   Kayla IS the Shellac Queen.  Does an outstanding job and I love the way she shapes my nails.  I always get the Deluxe pedi and my toes always thank me! Oh, thank goodness I found my Shellac Nail place again! After a change of ownership, my favorite beauty habit of shellac mani and spa pedi took a long, callused break. But, alas I have found Kayla again and was excited to experience her new salon.Free and plentiful parking is always a great way to start off any mini-spa day. I had an appointment, which is necessary to allow for plenty of pampering time. When I arrived, the ladies were ready for me with my beverage of choice as my pedi bath was being drawn in the process. I was presented a menu of scents to choose from for my leg and arm lotion. I recommend the peach ginseng. Oh yeah, so exotic! I recommend the luxury pedicure: sliced fresh citrus fruits are added to your foot spa, followed by clay mask, parrafin, and hot stone massage. OMG, can I like bathe here?! Yes, it's that decadent and after all that, Thuy did a thorough and gentle job on meticulously cutting, shaping and cleaning up my cuticles. The foot scrub and leg massage with oil was more soothing than my previous night's sleep. I am serious! Moving on,  the salon chairs are luxurious and are a futuristic metallic color that will shiatsu your back for as long as you're sitting in the chair. Go ahead and take control, the remote can be found in your right arm chair pocket. As for my manicure, I opted for my favorite red sparkle shellac. This color seems to stay on forever and the color depth is penetrating and bright. I get it for Valentines, 4th of July and Christmas. I love it! I also chose a matching pedi color with optional nail art. Silver bells on red toes makes me wanna show the world! Kayla did my shellac and she just does an amazing job. She has always paid so much attention to all details: cleaning the cuticles, never squeezes my fingers in the process, and even paints the tips of the nails first before begin painting the entire nail. I know these are the tricks that make the mani last and make me comfy in the process.  I loved the bonus neck massage they throw in at the end. So choice. All in all, it was wonderful. And after that, I headed next door to Drystyle for a shampoo and blowout to round out my mini spa day. I definitely recommend 20 Nails. They are running some great deals since they just opened.
