I supposedly paid extra for a "coffin" shape and "longer nails", the shape is a** and I didn't even get them that long. I didn't bother arguing with the lady up front so I left without leaving a tip instead. Worst full set I've ever had. I just want to clarify that I'm normally not picky with the way people do my nails but today's service was horrible. I got both my toes and my hands done and although my toes looked decent, the lady that did my full set had no idea what she was doing. She was on her phone as she was doing my nails so it came to no surprise that my nails look like trash. I should NOT have to keep pointing out the obvious when it comes to how uneven and crooked my nails are. Also I picked out a completely different color than what was actually put on my nails, and when I let her know that it was the wrong color all she did was stay quiet, and she still had the audacity to ask if I was going to leave her a tip. They have terrible customer service and they have the nerve to tell me that they are just simple and they can't do what I want! The owner's daughter said that they don't care about customer service. Tonight Howdy, as always did my nails. The nail art was ugly, and he even said it was ugly! The nail design I wanted included purple base and pink on top. When the design didn't look anything like I wanted, I said just take it off and give me a nude with no art! He had already did my toes, but because I want my toes and fingers to match, I asked him to remove the purple from my toes also. The art on my toes wasn't the best, but it was ok. Who walks around with purple and pink on their toes and nude on their fingernails? We are ok with the change. The owner's daughter proceeds to tell Howdy that they don't need customers that don't love them...WTF! I asked do you guys not care about customer service? She says no! I was like... WoW! Let me get my nails done so I  can get out of here.The problem came when I said the purple is still on my nails. He says, what you want me to do cut your finger off? I've given this place a 3 star review only because of mimi she is absolutely the VERY! Best. Fancy nails does not deserve to have her. She is worth a 5 star review, However I cannot give a 5 star review, If others would learn from her fancy nails would be a better nail shop. Mimi is patient, kind and sweet she also listen to what the customers need and she delivers. I love how she NEVER! Hounds me for a tip she is thankful for whatever you give her that's how it should be. Ask for Mimi some of the best service you will ever get from fancy nails you will not be disappointed. I first I want to say what happened to the old school pedicures. Where you paid $25 and the process took 45 minutes and you walked out feeling like you just stepped out of heaven. After all I have been going to Fancy Nails off and on for over 20 years Now don't get me wrong I know times have changed, I get it, BUT DAMN!  Now they do still have the $25 Pedi but they make you feel like literally they are gonna soak your feet and just change the polish? So I walked in and they asked me What do you need, not how are you or a proper greeting. I told them just a pedicure. They said pick your Color. The Owner said come over here and I walked towards her and then she walked away from me. I just stood there and then some girl said. you sit here. She gave me a brochure of all there pedicures but she said $35 Pedi is so much better! she took it from my hand. So I told her Ok I'll take the $35 Pedi.  She said put your feet in water, roll up your pants, and then she walked away. The water got so hot it was burning my feet that I had to take them out. She said water too hot, so she turned it to cold. She didn't say her name just started going to work. She was doing the steps of the pedi so fast. She wasn't even looking at my feet, at times she was barely even touching them. She literally was was just looking around, mean while people were constantly coming in, which it doesn't matter how busy they are they don't say No to anyone. that walk through there door. They over book and don't give the time to the client's already in the chair. She kept putting hot water and burning my feet, I get it the first time it was accident. but two times after that, pay attention! To sum it up over all really bad service. From start to finish she took 26 minutes. I went there to relax and I feel liked I got robbed. $35 plus tip it was not worth my time. She left me and started working on someone else. didn't even say bye. I will not go back to this Salon. They are making a fortune at robbing there client's. I'm feeling rather conflicted about writing this. I almost didn't come here due to the reviews but someone recommended I come here. First thing, when I walk thru the door and elder gentleman greets and "guesses" that I need a pedicure and a manicure. Asks me what kind of manicure. I tell him just regular polish, I tell him 3 times at least as he tries to cross sell me gel or dip powder. When I'm seated in the chair it starts all over again. I have to tell my manicurist over and over again that I want regular polish as she tries to sell me over and over again on gel or powder. The manicure was poor unfortunately. It smudged before I even left and she kept having to thin the polish out because it was dried up. Finally someone else came and started my pedicure and when I say that it was the best $25 I've spent on a pedi in a while I'm not joking. Will I go back? No. I hate having to repeat myself 25 times. I also dislike paying for a manicure that doesn't even make it out of the store. I asked the lady to touch up a few missed spots before I gave up on it. I will however miss that awesome pedicure. It was my first time getting my nails done ever and I didn't really enjoy my experience here. Basically they lady who was doing my nails didn't do a good job and she forgot to put a coat on one of my nails and remembered last minute. What made me not want to come back was that she told me that I could give her my tip when I was done washing my hands, It's not her decision whether I leave a tip or not it's mine, I didn't say I was or wasn't giving her a tip. Fancy Nails had been my shop for YEARS and really enjoyed Kendra, Connie, and John over the years. I had an experience two years ago that stop me from going back for almost 8 months when they over booked the schedule and I was left waiting there for over an hour. However I found myself going back there faithfully but recently they over booked me again, which I would have been okay with had I received an apology for the delay or anything but I got nothing! As a loyal customer that really ticked me off, not only that the owner of the shop wife spoke to me rudely as if she was doing me some sort of favor. WORST NAIL SALON EVER! It was my first time going to Fancy nails. I did coffin nails, the shape was good but that was the only good thing. The man doing my nails was criticizing me, I have a medical issue which makes my hands sweaty sometimes. Never in my life has a person doing my nails complain about my sweaty palms, except this guy. He was being rude and asking me to stop sweating. Worst experience ever, no nail salon has ever made me feel bad about my issue. A week and half of having my nails, the nail polish was wearing off, the glue was bad... My nails were half off and everything I touched would make my nails look ugly. Walked in on Saturday and was seated right away for a manicure. Everyone was so welcoming, the music was upbeat, and the place is gorgeous! I am all about customer service and I have never been to a nail shop that lacked as much as "Fancy nails" I walk in, I'm asked what service I'm needed without a pleasant " hello, how are you today?". The wait was a good 15-20 min as expected I arrived mid-day on a weekend with no appt set up or anything. My turn was up and I was told to sit in the pedicure chair, I then stated that I was needing a full set to clarify any confusion there might have been....NOPE! She confirms she says " yes, full set" so I sat in a very uncomfortable position the entire 2 hours it took her to complete my full-set coffin nails. Mind you you shes tugging and pulling my hands (my right hand over my chest to work on it) because she chooses not to move her chair from one side to another but instead make me more uncomfortable then what it already is for me. Nail tech cuts me, she doesn't acknowledge it. I advised her a good 10 times I want my nails medium-short, I walk out with long. I initially picked out color 72 out of the board of colors to find out when it was time to paint my nails the color was out. Next to me was a lady who was having trouble with her English letting her nail tech know what she was wanting so I assisted, I let the nail tech know she was requesting manicure and pedicure both red nail polish, after I told them they kept harassing the poor lady to get gel nails instead over and over again, it is so unprofessional to hound a customer in such a way. I paid $45 for an "OK" set, too much if you ask me, I reside in The Colony/Frisco area and walk out with a pedi and full gel set for $60, they also don't give you the option to write out your tip they put you on the spot and ask you in front of everybody "would you like to leave a tip?" almost making you feel obligated( I ALWAYS tip a good amount, that is no problem for me). I wish I could give this place 5 stars but the service was horrible. I called and requested for a specific person.  I said I would be there in 30 minutes. When I got there she wasn't there. So I waited. The shop is very noisy. They talk way too much. It takes away from the relaxation part. When she finally arrived she looked at me like who are you? Ummm ma'am if you see someone new you greet them. So as she was removing the gel off my hands she kept talking about this dip powder. I told her maybe next time. She kept saying it's way better then gel. She cut my cuticles a little too much I started bleeding. Finally she just said let me try it on one nail. I kept saying no ma'am. She kept trying to pressure me into until I gave in. But then once she finished the base she started polishing with the gel colors. Horrible job. I just asked her to place the chrome on my nails just she wouldn't have to polish anymore. The chrome only lasted 1 week. I told her I won't pay extra for the dip. I would pay for the chrome. I went in on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago for a pedicure. I showed the man doing my pedicure a picture of the ombre style paint I wanted ($15 extra). It was obvious that he didn't know how to do, but he insisted that he could and it would look great. He upsold me to the gel polish ($15 extra) because I was about to go to the beach and he said it would last much better (that turned out to be true). When he was finished, the color transition was so subtle you could not tell it was ombre at all.  I brought this up to him and another worker (who spoke more English) and they both insisted it was right. There were several people who had been waiting for over an hour, so I let it go and left.I ended up painting over it to get closer to the look I wanted. A few days later I found out that I need to go back into a salon to have the polish removed because it's gel and I could damage my nails if I remove it myself.  I told the people at the shop that I'd never had gel polish and I don't get my nails done regularly.  They absolutely should have told me that I'd have to go into a salon to have it removed. Nails tech are very loud, no peace and quiet at all. They didn't even put base coat for my toes. Horrible service. All they do is talk to each other. They wouldn't even wash my legs with clean water to remove the massage cream. Manager need to fire the noisy technician, they would look up and not to your nails while doing it, they wouldn't care if they cut you they'll still continue to yap. Now so have come here 3 times and each time has been an experience to where I feel as though I would never come back. I am not a chatty person at nail shops, I enjoy the service as a get a way to where I don't need to be anything but quite. That is not the case here. They do a great job and so am always satisfied but they are extremely pushy with their up sales and I just like to say one Time the service I would like. Fancy Nails of Irving has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. My daughter went to get a manicure on Tuesday (6/28) and come to find out they don't do regular nail polish, only gel. So, she asked for a manicure and picked her polish anyway. They did not soak her nails, cut her cuticles, lotion her arms, or give an arm/hand massage. They only filed and buffed, then polished her nails...for $20! I was mad at that (I wasn't with her at the time.) Fast forward to today, 4 days later. And her nails have started turning brown. We went to Fancy Nails and complained and asked for a refund. We were told that they have a "No Return Policy" so no refund would be given, they would only put on a layer to cover the brown. They continued to blame My daughter for the brown saying that it was her foundation stain, she doesn't wear foundation. Then they said it was from her mousse in her hair...my daughter doesn't wear hair products in her hair and it is straight as a board. They never took responsibility and even stated that she didn't ask for a manicure but only a polish change...and that alone is $20. So here we are at my favorite nail salon... Let me start off by saying the day before my wedding I woke up to an email saying my nail appointment had been canceled at a new location I was going to seek out and try pursuing specifically fancy nail art. After calling all over the metroplex and providing pictures via text message and email to owners of several shops no one could accommodate me or do anything as wild as I wanted. On top of it being an extremely busy Friday no one had any appointments. I called Fancy Nails and Knon only do they specialize in funky fun and fabulous fashion nails they were empathetic to my situation and found a way to work me in granted my wedding was an emergency. First of all we called in 4 hours in advanced to make an appointment when we got there that thing was like a jungle ! The lady at the front desk told us it would take from 25-30 minutes and we politely told her we already had an appointment so she screamed at one of the ladies that was already working with one lady on her pedi and I guess she said to wait 15 minutes or something because that's what the front desk lady told us. The absolute worst service ever. I have been dealing with fancy nails for over 5 years and today marks the worst service that I have ever received. I made an appointment for 7 pm for a refill ,a pedicure and wax I arrive to my appointment at 6:56 pm . My nail tech was doing a full set of nails along with my foot tech who was doing a pedicure. So me loving these two people work dearly ,decided I would wait at few minutes for service but I'm constantly watching the clock because I have a event to attend at 9:30 pm. It's now 7:45 and the only thing I have done is my eyebrows. I decided to leave  as I was driving down belt line I decided to call and speak with Mindy... I advised Mindy how upset I was with the service she asked that I come back.. I said Mindy now that it is 8 oclock I have no other choice but to come back.. I then asked her if I come back would you be able to do my toes right then in there she said no I have a client coming in the door now ...keep in mind I was there until  7:45 waiting on my appointment that was never fulfilled for 7 pm. This was insult on top of injury. I WILL NEVER EVER IN LIFE GO BACK TO THIS SALON... I live in Irving and have been going here for 5 years , I have recommended them to so many people... My only thing is when you run a business you have to have some type of structure and professionalism. Today the service was horrible and customer service was at an all time low. I overheard the nail technician that does the 3D nails say "I told her 2 for $5 phsh now it's $5 each." Then she looked at me and said "If your nail not dry you come back tomorrow for 3D design!" Very rude, She was referring to my nails because my fill was taking longer. Well that fill lasted 3 days when I started to feel 2 nails lift and on the 4th day one of my nails fell off by the end of the week 4 nails fell off.
