Good, but not great. Got snipped once on my thumb and once on my big toe (on the foot that wasn't soaked prior to cuticle work). As you can see in the photo, my cuticles weren't pushed down far enough/the paint isn't close enough to my cuticles so my new manicure already looks old. I have super short nails (happens in my work field) so my nails look even shorter since the paint isn't to the bed. :/ It was awkward to stand around waiting for someone to take my $$ afterward. After reading the raving reviews on this place, I decided I had to try it. I did walk in without an appointment and was asked if I could come back after an hour. They were very sweet and tried to accommodate me - I came back after an hour and was seated immediately for my shellac manicure. One of the best locations in Houston that specializes in shellac, gel, and/or regular. I am very specific when it comes to my nail care and this location is a reputable salon (in my opinion). Their removal of shellac is gentle and they do not try to "harm" the original nail bed. They also have a variety of shellac/ gel ranging from OPI to CND. This is not my usual scene but the cleanliness and affordability of this location would give me reason to pop in during my two to three annual trips to Houston. Located on the second floor of a strip mall, the space offers three small rooms with pedicure stations and at least four manicure tables. It seems that shellac is all the rage these days but if you're like me and not looking to pop in all the time and make this a habit, I recommend a basic paint manicure which still feels lovely and will last longer than what you can do at home. I also loved seeing my nails squared off so tastefully. The foot scrub and massage, hospitality and entire experience was top notch. What they lack in atmosphere they make up for in cleanliness and talent. With at least six pedicure chairs, you're able to have the experience with friends if you call ahead for an appointment. Love this place; good work for a greater price. Appointment is a must if you don't want to risk being turn away. I got a pedi/mani and it lasted me more than a month. The person who did my mani took a little more skin than she should on one of my thumbs but other than that, a pleasant experience. The kind of service you get for $25 pedicure  is what keep bringing me back here. I had Linh and she is amazing. So attentive and sweet. Let me start by saying I am very picky when it comes to my nails. I care most about cleanliness and quality so if you value time efficiency over quality, this review isn't for you.This was my first visit as a walk-in (I arrived around 1PM on a Wednesday) and they seated me within 5 minutes. As usual, they told me to pick my color from their basket of gel color swatches. I knew I wanted white so the technician went to work right away, removing the old gel from my nails (I believe it's $5 for them to remove it for you). The tools were in a sterilized bag and she was very careful not to knick me as she trimmed my nails and cuticles. Not only did she ask me if I liked the shape, she cross checked my nails on each hand to make sure they were practically identical! I've never had a nail technician with such attention to detail - she immediately cleaned any polish that got on my skin and filed any bumps that formed as she painted. If you've had your nails painted white before, you know that two coats doesn't always come out opaque, and some places won't add a third coat unless you ask. She painted three coats without me asking which I really appreciated. When she was done, she did a final check and found a tiny tiny spot along my cuticle (not on my skin) where the polish wasn't in a perfectly straight line and she wouldn't stop filing it until she smoothed out the line. In the end, my nails took about 1.5 hours, but I LOVE them and I have zero complaints. My total was $35 before tip.I will note that on my first visit, a different technician knicked me a tiny bit when she was trimming my cuticles (she was very sweet and apologized and cleaned it), but other than that, everything went smoothly. Mind you, this is an Asian salon so you can expect the technicians to be speaking to each other in Vietnamese more than they speak to you, but that really shouldn't bother anyone since their work is amazing! :)Hit up Cindy if you have time for a longer appointment and want a technician who listens to what you ask for! This place is seriously the best nail salon in Houston! The staff is so nice and friendly! Most nail salons are not very welcoming, this one is. You know when you keep coming back to a place regardless of where you are in Houston, it's the real deal. This is one of the places that I'll hike down from katy to get my nails done. I went here for my wedding manicure and pedicure. After having told the technician that, they still gave me the stylist that I found out mid way through the appt had only been working for a month. The new stylist messed up my nails: painted all over my skin so that the shellac is peeling at the sides on day 2, put so much polish on that it is a big glob, did uneven layers (thicker at the finger nail tips, and barely coverage at the bed) AND tried to cover it up by piling on layers and layers of shellac. This is all AFTER I ASKED THEM TO REDO THAT FINGER - AND THEY NEVER DID. She eventually had to ask a senior technician to come and fix her work. To top it all off, my ring finger had a bubble in the shellac. Mostly I am disappointed at the fact that they assigned a new person, who is clearly not ready to work on real nails and needs more time training, to work on my nails for such a special occasion and that my nails were already messed up before I left the place. If you're looking for a new nail salon, Days Spa is your place! The service is excellent and the prices are  reasonable. You can't beat a $40 mani/pedi (AND wine)!No, it's not the biggest or fanciest salon in Houston, but I'd rather pay for quality service than luxury. There aren't very many stations, so I would HIGHLY recommend making an appointment instead of a walk-in. We went on a weekday and they were full. Aside from the service, I love the privacy of each area - there are like 4 different rooms, 3 of which offer full privacy. I cannot wait for my next pamper day. Read Less

I have come to this lovely Nail Spa 4 times now, and I have waited to write a review just to ensure it was a consistent experience each time. I have come here on a Friday afternoon (11am), Monday morning (10am), Sunday afternoon (1pm), and Thursday afternoon (4pm).  Of all of these times, my experience has been phenomenal. Amazing and efficient service, great color, attention to detail, and care to make sure I was comfortable every single time...except Friday at 11am.  So, I come in today at 10:45am, and I am asked to wait for 10 minutes due to availability of technicians. This is fine. I choose my colors and take a seat on the couch checking the various apps on my phone. At 11am, I get to my chair for my manicure / pedicure. I soak my feet in the wonderfully warm water. At 11:15am, a technician greets me and begins working on my feet. Yay, I think, finally! And, at 11:30am, another technician comes to work on my hands. They were both done at Noon. So, I sat there until 12:25pm for my nails to dry off. Apparently, this wasn't enough time. By the time I got to my car, two of my finger nails were smudged.If you've ever had your nails done, this is sad; especially when the rest of the day remains and one has to return to work!All that said, they are a fantastic Day Spa when they aren't swamped.
