Went there last week to get a full set of acrylic powder nails done for my graduation and they look horrible. Anna did my nails and was rushing all over it. How can a nail artist do a poor job on a short and very simple nail design. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and how I needed it but what Anna did looked nothing like what I asked her to do and she kept saying she knows what I want. The shellac shine coat she put on the top was of no good as my nails looked like a matte finish. I’m Very disappointed and won’t be returning here. This place is great! It is clean, great color selection in polish, powder, and shellac. The staff are always so nice and the service is wonderful. I use Anna for my manicure. She is meticulous and always makes my nails look beautiful. Tom does my pedicure. The massage is incredible and my toenails always look perfect. I travel an hour each way to go to this place to have my nails done. I have never been disappointed and they always do the designs the way I like them. They have never said no to my requests. Absolute excellence! I'm in town this weekend for a college graduation found the place waited 10min done in1hr. I got a standard pedicure and the take off and redone dip on my nails. Amazing place! I went here base on a recommendation and I'm so happy that I did. The place is clean, staff is incredibly friendly. I don't know who the owner is but his number is posted on a sign up front asking you to call him should there is any concerns. As soon as I walked in I was amazed at the choices of gel colors they had. They have like 10 color palettes. They also had sample designs they could do like acrylic flowers, crystals and marble, the chrome nails and so much more. They helped me a little before my appointment time. I got a pedi and full acrylic set. I have to say the design I got was pretty complicated and they perfected it. By the way, the person who did my acrylics was Lena. Very patient and detailed! I came here today hoping to destress and get my mind off things and at first everything seemed like it was going to be nice as they weren’t too busy and the girl doing my hands seemed to be attentive but then as it got busier she started to rush and started to mess up on my nails leaving a clump of clear polish lifted as a blob on my nail so I pointed it out to her and then she started trying to fix it with her finger and realized she couldn’t so she said she’d fix it when it dried and started working on the next customer. Once it dried she came back and asked me again if I wanted to fix it or if it was fine like that (well I am paying professionals to do my nails so I would like it fixed as I’m paying full price for this) so I said yes please so she started filing it quickly trying to hurry to get back to her next customer while she hasn’t even finished with me and then as soon as she finishes filing the clump of polish away (I get the dip done) she asked if that was fine so I’m just looking at my nail with scratch marks from the file and then she decides to put cuticle oil on my hands and wants me to wash my hands but since I also got a pedicure nobody put my sandals back on nor the little slippers they have. At this point she is in such a rush she tries to jam my sandels on and messes up my toe polish before I can tell her I’ll just put them in myself and then she keeps looking over at her other customer and just ask somebody to fix my polish so the next lady quickly does annoyed to be asked, tells me to wait and walks away so I’m sitting there with oil on my hands and instead of fixing the polish that now has a dent in it they try to paint over it but obviously the texture is now lumpy. After waiting awhile the original girl that messed up my nails came back as she saw me trying to get up to leave and ask again if it’s fine now and I have to ask if she can put a top coat again to fix the nail correctly so she does and still trying to rush through. I ask her if there is somebody else who can possible fix the toe she messed up because she is obviously busy so I guess she didn’t feel like she could ask anybody to help her and tried to do it herself but wants to again paint over it which is not fixing it so I tell her no can somebody please fix it it’s dented which she acts super confused even though she’s staring right at my foot and other people start trying to translate for her. Finally the store manager comes over and honestly he is so kind and friendly and really the only thing that made this visit bearable and he says yes we will fix it have a seat in the pedicure chair it’s better and ask the lady who originally tried to “fix” the mess up and as soon as he turned around she ripped my sandal off my foot as I removed the other one and threw it on the floor and did the same thing again just tried to paint over it. At this point I was just over the whole experience of having to basically ask them to just provide the service I was paying for and on top of that getting an attitude for one of their employees messing up my pedicure by trying to jam my sandals back on (I’m upset about that too) that I just accepted their “fix” and left. I paid full price and even tipped because the original girl that messed up was nice enough and did apologize even though I left with a mediocre manicure and a messed up pedicure with lumpy texture on 1 of my toes due to her trying to jam my sandal on and I could also see all the brush strokes on some other toes. I’ve been here several times and the previous time the service was not good either but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but after today I’m not sure I’ll go back. It was such a horrible experience and not because they messed up my nails but everything that happened after and the way they handled it. I was fine with then messing up my nails and even taking their “fix” that you can clearly see she messed up but just having to ask repeatedly for it to be fixed and them clearly wanting me to pay full price and not wanting to fix it was what upset me. I've been meaning to post, I've been coming here for about almost a year now. I am very, very, picky about who does my nails and the only I reason keep coming back is because of Tiffany. She is the best at what she does and she never says, "No, I can't do that.", or "I don't have time to do that.". Instead she gets just as excited as you are about your nail designs and ideas! Which I love because I'm excited about getting my nails done andI don't mind being a guinea pig when trying out new designs I find out Pintrest. It's the fact that she takes the time to do it and wants to see you happy and satisfied! You really get what you pay for! The ambience is nice, it rather quiet, latest music, and relaxing at times. It's because parents bring their youngins and forget that this is spa and a place of business not a daycare or a loud ass movie theatre. Plus that the point of coming to a salon/spa is to get away from all that.They have tons of powder color to choose from, including glow in the dark! The glow in the dark has different shades as well! They have an enormous amount of gem stones and diamonds to choose from. And they offer you water, wine etc when you're there! Chic Nails is the best salon I have been to in a long time. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. They also offer complimentary refreshments (including wine!).I have been going to David for a few months now, and he has focused on making my nail goals a reality. I have very thin nails and have never been able to grow them out. I told this to David and he recommended I do shellac with extra coats to keep my nails strong and protected. My natural nails are now longer than they have ever been, and my shellac NEVER chips. I go back every two weeks only because it grows out! They have the largest selection of colors I have ever seen, and are knowledgeable about all the latest nail treatments. If you have seen it on Pinterest, they know how to do it.
