I felt extra lucky today that I was able to get out earlier than expected and that Racheal had gotten a cancellation! I guess the nail gods were on my side today :) I had seen pictures and reviews on here prior to going in so I knew she did a good job but wasn't sure if she'd be able to deal w my unevenly sized nail bed- meaning, nail beds aren't the same size on both hands so one side always looks drastically longer than the other. Wow am I so glad I was able to finally go!!! I love loveeeeemy nails.   Somehow, she found a way to make that less noticeable and make them way more even! She used dipping powder on my natural nail and since I have fragile nails, two had chipped before we even started so she added a tip on those two (ring & small finger)- you can't even tell the difference. They look so natural!!!! I'm so impressed....and that's definitely not usual. And since the color I picked wasn't opaque enough, she suggested mixing another color prior to adding the color I actually wanted. She also mixed the colors and dipped a sample tip to show me before actually doing it on my nail! My nails look amazing and so excited I finally found my go to nails place. Read Less

The customer service here is AWFUL!! You're pretty much ignored and they hardly engage with customers. Serious stern faces and no "thank you". Also, during my manicure they left on my rings, the water I soaked in was cold and the nail tech did a below than average job. Not only is the service poor but it's not a very clean salon. I'm really sad to be writing this review. This is my third time going in and definitely the worst experience I have had yet. Firstly, the nail tech that did it was ill. Second, he left glue and remnants of the previous color all over my hand. Third, the glue was not removed where it is in contact with my skin. And the icing on the cake, while using the drill and files close to my cuticles I made him aware that he was getting my skin. Okay, so I got my nails done 2 weeks ago by Rachel, I am just now writing a review because I wanted to see how my nails would hold up.... Oh my Gosh!!! I have never ever had a set of nails that actually lasted a full 2 weeks! On top of that, my nails are not even lifting yet! Rachel was super sweet and did an amazing job! She was so kind to fit me in her schedule! I can not tell you how happy I was with her technique! She did my nails exactly how I wanted them. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment and was helped by the manager Michelle right away. She was very knowledgeable and helpful when I was describing the type of manicure I was looking for. She explained how dipped nails worked and was excited to try them for the first time! The salon is clean, and plays the current top 40's music and had HGTV muted on the TV... which of course I was glued to! When I first walked in I was shocked at how pretty the place was for being such a small area in a strip mall. It has such a relaxing atmosphere- even the ceiling tiles are fancy. Lol! I was greeted by everyone with a smile when I walked in and two workers helped me find the color I wanted. We decided on a blue shellac and they promptly sat me at chair#4 with Nancy. I had an amazing experience with Nancy and even some other workers who gave me ideas on what to do on my next manicure (educating me on what the new powder stuff is). Great nails! I got lucky and ended up with Michelle the manager. She was prompt, helpful and knowledgable. I finally found a nail salon that does a coffin shape and ombre. Don't waste your money! There are a dozen nail places in this area. Don't go to this one! I've only not tipped 3 times in my life (the other 2 bc the tech cut me so bad, I bled). 1st, they lied about how long it take to see me. I walked in and they said they could see me right away. Nope. I waited 15 minutes. Then they sat me down squished bw a grandmother and child on my left, the child taking up half of my spot, and another lady on the right, whose purse took up another 1/4. I was sardined in there with no apologies. Nobody asked if I wanted anything to drink. My nail tech was nice, but he checked his phone every 2 minutes which was super anointing and very unprofessional. Overall the place was dingy and run down. Trash everywhere and the place was dirty. The chairs are falling apart! The CND device was an antique and didn't work half the time for my shellac manicure. Please don't go here. Read Less

Before I went in to have my nails done I called to ask how much acrylic nails would be they told me $30. When I got there they asked me what I wanted and I told the man that just walked in from smoking a cigarette (that wasn't a nice smell to be greeted with) I told him I wanted french tip acrylic nails and he looked at me confused and said, "ok pick a color" I looked at him in confusion and said i don't want a solid color" he said "ok follow me" he sat me down and called for someone. The man that did my nails asked me what i wanted so I told him, he also looked at me very confused, I looked up a picture on my phone to show him to help him understand. He then said "ok" as he was getting things ready you could tell he was frustrated because he did not have everything he needed so he just did with what he had. He clipped my nails to make them short enough to put on the tips. Then he began to apply the powder for the nails, at first it looked like he cared because he was somewhat frustrated however at the end i could tell that he really didn't care. It was dark in there, the guy KNEW it was dark he even look up at the ceiling lights to see if they were turned on. He had a hard time seeing what he was doing because of how dark it was. He kept putting my hand closer and closer to the lamp, a couple of times my hand got kind of warm. He didn't take care of my cuticles and it hurt when he was dong my nails. First a burning sensation on my skin from the electric nail file then sharp pricks from some tool I've never seen before. Once he was done he told me to go wash my hands then go to the front to pay. I went up to the front to and it was a different man, I told him I needed to pay and he looked at me like he didn't know what I said and looked around. He finally stepped up to the counter looked at me confused. I showed him that the nails that I just got. It took him awhile while before he told me how much it was. I felt a few bumps on my nails and kept feeling them, I showed the bumps to the man at the counter and he just filed them off making some of the nail look rough. He told me it would be $40, I let him know that I was told $30 then he said,"no, no, $40" I just wanted to get out of there fast so I paid for it. Now 3 days later all the nails are beginning to lift on the sides. The whole experience there was horrible, the service was horrible, and the nails look like crap. Worst money I have ever spent. I will never recommend any of my family,friends or friends of friends to this place. I feel like I was ripped off and they knew what they were doing. It was like they know how to take advantage of people especially someone that has never been to their place of business, I wouldn't even call it a nail salon. Just horrible all around Read Less

I've been here a few times now, and it's become my preferred nail salon in the area. They always do a nice job, and even their basic spa pedicure has a lot of great features for only being $28. Occasionally I'll get a tech who'll try to shame me into getting my eyebrows waxed, but I think that's pretty standard at any nail salon. Overall I'm very happy, and I'll continue to come back. I wish I could give 10 STARS!!! I have been looking for a good nail salon for a year now! This place is AMAZING! I went in for a pedicure and a shellac manicure. They told me they have the dippin manicure, which I have been wanting to get, so I said great, I'll get that. Everything is really clean, Rachel did a phenomenal job with my mani and pedi. The pedi package is just loaded with different ways to pamper ur feet and toes, and a paraffin wax, skin mask for ur legs and hot towel and a massage! It felt amazing.. Rachel didn't rush the Pedi, but was very efficient!I wanted to the chrome for my mani, she helped me pick a color and recommended the rose gold which I loved!!! All while I enjoyed a glass of wine . Best nail salon experience! I did a walk in and was seen quickly. I always get French but wanted something different but can't get crazy colors or stiletto nails. They suggested mood changing nails where they change color when you're hot or cold.Kathy did my nails, and for once she had her nails done and demo'd the mood change. They were very accommodating and skilled. Every detail was done with precision and detail. You can tell that their priority is perfect work rather than getting you in and out as fast as possible. They made sure they fixed a minor blemish in one nail's polish before I even saw it, which impressed me tremendously seeing as many salons I've gone to wave it off like it's nothing when I point out a major flaw. My stiletto nails turned out perfect and even. The price is phenomenal too: $50 for a full set acrylic, stiletto nail with gel polish (three different colors). I love going to Lavender I usually just get pedis and they are amazing especially the little designs. I've never really liked people touching my feet but I don't mind when they do it. I have been going to the old Nail Salon (Happy Nails) for about 5 years. Loan is a great nail tech. The new owner Nathan, has not only given the old salon a new name "Lavie" nails but, a great new face lift new pedi chairs as well as new nail stations. Clean shop with a new classy look. After living in Europe for four years, I returned to San Antonio a year ago. It has taken this long to finally find a nail tech who knows how to do a great manicure. I get solar nails and they look exactly like I want them to. I didn't really even need to give her (Loan...pronounced "Low-Ann") any instructions regarding finish/length/etc..........she just knew what I'd want. She's very intuitive and speaks excellent English so there's no language barrier. Although I was never in the shop previously, it's my understanding that it's under new ownership. The pedi chairs and mani tables are top of the line. It's a clean shop with affordable pricing.
