I chose to try Polished Nail Salon based on a recommendation of a friend. I chose to have the gel powder coated acrylics and and a classic pedicure. The technician, Aretha, layered on at least 10 coats of the gel powdered polish. Bubbles kept forming and it just looked uneven and awful. The pedicure was just as bad, my feet sat in cold water for about 30 minutes while Aretha and her daughter took a break in the front room of the office. When she finally decided to acknowledge me, she immediately made my cuticles bleed and cut my big toe with the nail clippers! WAY too rough!! By the time I got home that evening, my acrylic nails had already begun to fall off. One even ripped off my actual nail and tore it into two, causing me to have to pay for a doctor’s visit and pay for antibiotics to prevent an infection from starting. My toe nail polish lasted less than 48 hours. I believe I paid $85 for the services and left a $10 dollar tip. I will not be returning and would NEVER recommend this salon whastover. I wish there was an option to leave negative star reviews, because after the pain I experienced, the doctor’s visits, and the antibiotics - the situation was not handled properly and I am furious.. Surely y’all don’t treat all of your customers this way?? 🙄 Read Less

I got a full set and not even 24 hours after, one of the nails fell off. Then, the following day two more of the nails cracked and broke off. I’ve never had nails fall off like that after getting a set. Absurd. I will never be returning to this place! Read Less

In town from Houston and went to Yelp to find a place... decided on Polished and the Yelp reviews did NOT steer me wrong.  Cute little place with a friendly staff and the most amazing massage chairs.  I had Crystal - she was super friendly and fun to talk to, and did a great job on my mani / pedi! Moved to Harlingen 3 months ago and did a serious search for a good nail salon.  Polished is it! Teri (sp?) does my toes.  She's awesome.  The prices are good. The atmosphere is better than any other salon I've been to. I recommended it to a new coworker and she said another person had already recommended it. Marcie is the absolute best. I went in for a pedicure and manicure with shellac and am very impressed with the job she did on me. I don't think my toes have ever looked this nice and I've been for several places for pedicures. Marcie was incredibly nice and welcoming. First of all let me say that I every time I get a shellac manicure at other salons the polish begins to lift and chip within 3 days... but... My sister-in-law recommended I try out this place and I got a shellac manicure with Gaby. Well let me tell you whatever or however Gaby did my shellac manicure was AMAZING! I am 1 week in and they have not lifted or chipped! So excited! To bad I live in California and can't go here regularly. They accommodated me as a walk in on a late Saturday evening when the first the other salon nearby (rhymes with Sappy Tails) turned me away somewhat rudely. I'm chilling here w/a glass of wine in a much nicer environment. They've been open almost two years. I recommend giving them some business do they stay around. Went for a shellac French manicure and pedicure. We were told the availability was in 40 minutes. We returned at the time and were promptly greeted and provided service by Gaby and Margie. They were both very professional and paid a lot of attention to our pedicure. We loved it!!! Would recommend it 100% and Gaby and Margie. Gaby gave me an excellent shellac French manicure. Read Less

They are not too organized when making appointments, which they highly recommend before going. They will totally freak out if they get a walk-in from what I witnessed when at the salon. They took about two hours for simple pedi and mani (no shellac). Service was very slow so if you're in a hurry to get somewhere after or have a busy schedule this place will set you behind. They have two nail techs in a room so you have a semi private experience when getting your mani. It beats any a bad experience of loud crying babies like other salons. Read Less

Wife has gone to multiple salons all around the area and I have never seen her so happy until she came here. She is a nail technician and make her own nails however wanted to give this place a try, so she was so surprise of the work done by the tech here.
