I went to Lilly nails last Friday to get a gel manicure. While doing my gel manicure the lady is pushing back my cuticles and begins to trim my cuticles, and I noticed that it started to bleed. This happened on a couple of my fingers. By Tuesday one of the gel nails starts to come off so I went back to have them fix it she claims that the gel nail didn’t stay because of the alcohol wipe that was used on my nail. By Wednesday another nail starts to peel. So I go back and have it fixed. By Saturday not only the nail that was fixed on Tuesday starts to peel but so do two other nails. My nails are uneven and extremely painful because she left acrylic digging into my skin and 4 hours later my nails are already on the verge of falling off. I've been coming here for a few years with no problems, until today. I call and make an appointment for 1:00.. after waiting 20 minutes i finally sit down with a lady who seemed to not know what she was doing, she starts working on my nails then when its time to put on the tips she starts panicking because i want pink and white powder (which i stated while making the appointment and once i got there). Another worker chimes in (the one who i know answers the phone everytime) a...nd says we dont have time for that, come back at 5 because she doesnt know how to do powder. Meanwhile the lady who i sat with just starts cleaning up and walking away without even knowing if i was going to change my mind. Dont hire people who clearly dont know what theyre doing, or dont make appointments for something that you "dont have time for" when any other time its taken a little over an hour. Nail technician was extremely rude and very sloppy with her work. She raised her voice at me when I told her that I wanted a short nail but with a coffin like effect (just narrow edges). She couldn't understand anything I wanted or said. She grew frustrated with me as I did with her. Ultimately, I asked her to remove them before she did an even worse job. Terrible nail salon!!! I honestly think they are the best in Rochester. I get complimented on my nails at work and really anytime i go out atleast 4 times a day and everyone always asks where i get them done. The quality is great my nails stay looking good even when its time for a fill they just grow out but dont lift and still look new. They always have the latest styles and colors. Love the atmosphere! The nail technicians are friendly and always ready to please the customer! I have Lipoedema and sometimes the pain in my legs cause me to be very uncomfortable, however Dion, has made it very comfortable for me and met my needs first! I love lili and i honestly think theyre the best around but the past two times i've went, they messed up the shape of the nails i wanted because they were rushing, and because it was too difficult to fix, i now have to get another $30 new set instead of a $15. If I could give less than a star i would. My nails were streaky and disgusting. When I asked her if there was anything else she needed to do she said, "No. You're done." Today was my first time at Lili nails and I can honestly say I LOVED IT! I have been to my share of salons but this one is way above the rest. The staff is extremely nice and you can actually hold a conversation with them! They don't rush the take their time and do am excellent job. I will most definitely be returning to see Kimmie again!! I wish I could give less than one stars. This place was awful. I asked for a specific shape of nail. All she did was cut the sides with a nail clipper and she charged me 10 extra dollars for it. I'm not upset about that though. When I was done, my nails were CROOKED and she refused to shorten them even though I asked her TWICE prior to do so. This place is FILTHY and they have absolutely no sense of customer service. When I went home, I had my entire family commenting on how horrible they looked. I had to go to another nail salon to fix them which was just another expense. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE CHEAP PRICE! You will leave with crooked, uneven nails that will lift after a few days. Read Less
