I have been coming here since this place has opened. I have had good experiences and bad experiences, but lately the bad have outweighed the good. This last time was the straw that broke the camels back. 1. The pricing on the website is completely wrong and the management of this salon does not honor it. It is still wrong 3 months later. 2. When you are with Tina, the owner, she is so concerned with everyone else and micromanaging her staff, she does not care what she is doing with her own customer. 3. My last experience is all out hell. I came in for a dipped manicure and I was told that they had someone qualified to help me. The lady wrapped my nails in foil and walked to start a pedicure with another customer. Typically you’re supposed to leave the foil on for 10 - 15 minutes. After 20 minutes and my fingers starting to get irritated, I took the foil off myself and requested for the lady to come back. The lady finally paused from her pedicure customer and came over to tell me that she can’t finish my nails because I wasn’t getting fake nails. The manger told me that there was only four qualified people to do a dipped manicure. One of them was sitting next to me helping a customer that came in after me. Save your time and your money with this salon and go somewhere that is a lot better in everything. The only reason why this place has such great reviews is because they offer discounts for reviews. I went in to get a pedicure and brought my own gel nail polish. Guy says, “oh that’s gonna be $45”. I was fine with that until he burned my feet with scorching hot water, rough housed my feet, starting talking in his own language where the only word I understood was “gel” so I knew for a fact he was disrespecting me in his own language. The worst experience EVER!!!!! They're not good or knowledgeable about color. I was told by my stylist what color I had to good. I couldn't ever pick my own color especially after bleaching my hair. My hair is not only ugly, but damaged as well. Think twice before letting one of these stylist color your hair. I went my first time last Saturday to get my nails done, I had an appointment for 11am and had to get up to ask the lady at the desk “How much longer it would be?” Because by this time it was 11:33 and the lady I had an appointment with was already doing a pedicure on someone else. I didn’t even get a sorry. So they put me with another lady while I picked my color, I told her what I wanted and she moved me to a third lady who did my nails. I like the colors I chose but when I went to pay it was $5 more then what the lady told me it would be. You would think for the inconvenience I would of got a discount but NO! On top of that the lady didn’t put the fake nails all the way bk, making it look like I need to go bk faster!! I came in for a women's haircut. I have thick hair so I requested someone who can cut thick hair and the receptionist recommended a stylist for me. I asked for a trim, long layers, and to frame my face. I thought it was an OK job, not great. I paid and tipped bc it's the nice thing to do but as soon as I got home I realized how blunt and choppy some of the pieces were. I have heavy hair so with the blunt pieces it's driving me crazy and giving me headaches. I'm not happy with this salon and will not be returning as a customer. Read Less

Heather is a miracle worker with eyebrow waxing! She also makes me feel pampered even when I get their cheap pedicures. $20 pedicures on week nights! Cute little place with good prices. They also have complimentary drinks, but unfortunately I always forget to ask until the end and then I'm like nah no point now. They should offer you a drink from the start as you're waiting or something. Also, I hope update their regular nail polish soon as it's getting funky and not wide selection. Tried this salon for the first time on 6/9/17 because the location is just a few miles from my house.  I had the nail "dip" service by the guy that calls himself Henry.  A few days later I have 3 chipped or shattered nails all happened while on business travel in Tennessee and Florida.  I was completely embarrassed while conducting meetings, not to mention the chipped nails caused me to continuously snag my hose and clothes.  Finally, I had to run to CVS in search of an emery board so that I could manage until I returned.  There was no time to seek out repairs while I was working offsite which would have required a whole set because the SNS nail dip is by the number.  Nothing is more annoying than paying a premium price for a service that is performed by someone who is not skilled.  When I returned to the salon to request repairs by a skilled tech, I was directed to the manager who made no apologies and just waved me to a seat to allow Henry to again work on my nails.  He examined my nails and acted as though I damaged them somehow.  I  asked for another tech or a refund.  They promptly offered a refund and clearly could care less about keeping my business.  The ladies at the front are very professional and were apologetic, but the manager is rude and dismissive.  I'll remain with Nail Lounge in Los Colinas where I've gone for years and never had so much as a chip-EVER!If you desire skilled nail services and exceptional customer service, look past Instinktive! Every M-Th they have a pedicure special for $20- a price you can't say no to  I've had the pleasure of getting my hair & my nails done at Instinktive and I have nothing but great things to say about the staff. I was recommended to this salon by my sister after my hair stylist had been booked until July (I NEEDED my hair colored for graduation!) Yvonne was my stylist and I just wanted an all over color. She was very personable & had small talks with me so it wasn't awkward. She did a really good job with my hair- sleek and smooth even after 3 days! On the left side of the salon is where you get your nails done. I get the pedicure special every 2 weeks and it's worth every penny. Given this place three chances and each time have been disappointed! Went in for fills on acrylic nails first time I got an "older" nail tech. She was very rough and rude. She did not do that great of a job nails were unevenly filed and polish was messy. Second time went in at 6pm they close at 7pm sat there for 30 minutes before someone took me. Got a different person but she was in such a hurry to get my nails finished that she didn't bother to smooth them out. They were lumpy and to top it off the polish I picked seemed old bc there were bubbles which she noticed but tried to cover it up with the quick dry top coat. Third time again went in on Thursday at 7pm and they closed at 8. Seemed pretty busy so I specifically asked the receptionist upfront if she could take me and my daughter. I saw her ask which it looked like they said yes so she proceeded to tell us to pick a polish. Sat down 45 minutes later still waiting!! Went back up to receptionist and she acted like she didn't even know we were there. Re asked nail techs for someone to take us and they all started talking and seemed bothered. Once again I was unfortunate enough to get the same "older" lady. Poor poor job. Nails were a mess!! Different sizes some were super thick it was disgusting. Two days later 2 of the nails cracked on the sides and broke. I will never ever go back there. I gave it multiple chances bc it's close to my house and it looks decent but don't let that fool you. This is an overdue review but I decided it's finally time to express how much I appreciate the ladies here. This is the only place I have been that has not clipped into my cuticles during a mani or pedi and made me bleed. I will never be unfaithful to you guys again. I typically don't make appointments and every time I've walked in, I was always seen fairly quickly, 15 minutes tops and this was just before closing time. $20 basic pedicure is a great deal and they're always so friendly and meticulous. Brought my mom and 6 y/o sister here once and they loved it too, especially the special mini spa chair they've got for their little customers. After my first experience here, and my 3yo's first mani-pedi, I am a fan!By booking an appointment through Yelp, I received multiple forms of confirmation and communication with the business owner. I was able to change my 11:45 appt to three 10:00 appts through a combination of Yelp Message and email. The day before my Appt, there was an automated text to remind me of my time and date. It can get pretty overwhelming but I much prefer too many reminders than none at all. My girl friend and I got to catch-up while my daughter enjoyed her own little chair and mani-pedicurist. Went in for a pedicure.Nail tech started with a cut down but didn't ask if I wanted one (I did not want or need a cut down). He the. Began to shape my nail. They are all different. It looks awful!! just moved to this area!i had an apt at 3pm for a cut, as soon as i walked in i was shampooed the hairstylist excused himself because he noticed he was double booked... i totally understand since i'm a hairstylist too. He said someone would come soon to blow dry me so he could cut my hair dry meanwhile he finished the entire haircut on another client as i waited and i was there first. i finally come and get my hair cut lets just say my hair is freaking crooked! welllp! ohhhhh on top of that i got charged full service $50 for a crooked hair cut and despite him taking a client while he was working on me and putting me on the side with wet hair! now I'm freaking out with my crooked hair and I'm sad wah wah wah! I care a lot about my hair, and I've been coming to Instinktive Hair Nails Spa Couture religiously ever since they opened because they do the best job hands-down. They have an upscale atmosphere, but everyone inside is friendly and down-to-earth, so they help me figure out what I want if I'm not sure. And they're always on top of the latest styles. I feel like I get special treatment from all of the Instinktive team members every time I visit. I haven't gotten my haircut from any place else in many, many years. Even if I'm out of town for a long time, I'll wait until I can make it to Grand Prairie because I know I'll be getting the best quality service from the stylists at Instinktive. I absolutely love this salon. I use them for nails and hair and have never had a bad experience. I always request Ivy for my nails and then anyone for my toes and have always walked out happy. I came to get my hair done a year ago. I've never left a review but I feel like it's due time because I'm STILL upset how I got hustled. I came in to get a color correction because this other salon completely blotched my hair. I showed my stylist a picture of what I wanted- she said she could deliver. She never really talked to me about multiple sessions or anything even though the hair in the picture was rather light. I was a hair noob then but after a year of going to more stylists that have taught me a bit of color knowledge, I realized that my stylist at Instinktive was just winging it. She never talked to me about quality products or maintaining my hair integrity.. She didn't really seem like a really knowledgable hair stylist. I mean.. she didn't even walk me through what she was doing. But I know that literally all she did was tone my hair and foil to blend the demarcation line. She told me it was a "sombre" which I was confused about.. Because the picture I showed her was clearly an ombré. I didn't want to question her judgment because ya know- she's the professional. Although she was friendly, she charged me $140 for my hair to basically look the SAME? I did walk out of the salon with my hair looking better but my hair was a hot ass mess. If you couldn't have made what I had look slightly better than idek what to say. But $140 For a toner and to be blended? To look nothing like what I asked for? Ripped. Off. WORST SERVICE EVER - super unorganized so be prepared for a long wait. Had to return to get my gel manicure fixed. Thursday - My friend and I went to both get a mani (gel) and pedi, most places will do your manicure while you're getting a pedicure for convenience. Nope, not this place, same person did our manicure AFTER our pedicure. Saturday - My gel manicure was so thick and so poorly done that one of my nails already chipped and the rest were lifting.Monday - I was in the area so I told them I needed to get it fixed, the receptionist grabbed a lady who I can only assume is the manager, she took one look at my nails and knew the whole thing needed to be redone. She asked who did it and I said some man and she asked if I can come back another day and she will do it. I said I don't live near there so it's very inconvenient and she said "well he's free now but my nails don't look like that when I do it, so let me fix it, but not today. Come back and I'll fix it."Wednesday 5:40- I called and said I'm running ten minutes late for my 5:30 appointment, they said it's fine. I come in at 5:40. I see the lady that said she'll fix my nails with another customer. They seat me anyways then the same man who did my manicure the first time stops doing his pedicure on another customer and comes over with his hands still wet and says he will fix my nails after he's done with the pedicure, in the meantime, he decides to wrap my nails to remove the gel then goes back to the pedicure. I see the lady that said she'll fix my nails take on ANOTHER customer even though she sees me waiting, I'm assuming she was going to pawn me back off to that man. ONE HOUR LATER - I ask the receptionist what is going on, the lady told me to come back so she can fix my nails, however the man says he's doing it yet he's still working on the pedicure for another customer???? The receptionist asks the lady and she says she'll fix it once she's done with her SECOND customer so she asks me to move down one chair (mind you all of the chairs at the counter are empty). Finally when she's done she asks me to move back down to a different counter to her chair?? [I look over at the man and he's giving the same customer a manicure after the pedicure - who knows when he would have been done to help me if the lady didn't.]7:00 - I finally get to leave with my nails fixed, yay. I drive by this place quite often as it's in the same shopping center (albeit on the complete opposite end) as my favorite Target and I never knew that they provided services other than hair until recently. My cousin raved about their pedicure that incorporated the use of hot stones and I was intrigued so I tried them out to take my mind off of the fact that my fence had recently blown over. Although an appointment might sometimes be necessary depending on the service received, there was no wait on the day I went. It was a Friday afternoon and while the hair side was bustling the nail side of the salon was quiet. The menu was a bit confusing but I picked a pedicure that I wanted. While the hot stone massage was great, the nail tech cut my nails a bit too low for my own liking. I was preoccupied on my tablet, so that's partially my fault, but it does not take any longer than five seconds to stop and ask for affirmation that the customer is pleased with your work. She really listens to what you want and always executes it perfectly.
