First of all a few moments after I arrived the nail shop had a very thorough inspection at that time they were not able to use the (calluse remover thing) which ticked me off because that's one of the services that I was paying for! Second I don't understand why there's only 2 nail techs (whom were both working on someone else's nails) and 4 women only capable of ONLY doing pedicures.. Might I add they were just sitting around talking amongst each other! So I was told that I had to wait an additional 45 minutes just to get ONE nail cut down! WORST NAIL SHOP EXPERIENCE! I love the owners! They are so sweet and welcoming and they make great conversations with you. John is the best with manicures! And all the ladies do great pedicures. By far the worst experience I have ever had at any nail shop, the lady cut a chunk of my toe and then pours tons of alcohol on it as if its not going to burn like hell and between all this going on she not once apologized, then im explaining to the lady how I would like my toes done and she acts as if she has no clue what she is doing and has to keep asking another lady for help. Then I kindly let her know she was not doing them how I wanted them and she gets upset and get up and leaves and another lady had to come finish. I have been going to sky nails for about 3 months I love this place John is fantastic he started me on the organic dip and my nails have grown so much!! Now I don’t even have to get tips glued on!! I dip my veryyyy strong real nails!!!! They offer me wine every time and have great attitudes!!! I can’t forget Sky he is so hilarious and love talking to him!!! I got my nails done by the manager and she didn't bother to even try to cover my real nails, she didn't even make the acrylic nail look good it just looked like she stuck it on my nail, she didn't put the nail polish on well and because they were in a rush to close she didn't give me time to let them dry so they ended up messing up. I love coming here ! I've tried many nail salons in the area and no one compares to the quality work at Skye nails ! I usually get dip powder nails because it's healthier for your nails. If you go Tuesday through Thursday you can get a 20% discount which is greattttt! The place is always clean and everyone who works there is super friendly. I liked the salon a lot when they first opened. But service deteriorated. I felt they neglected me, a usual client, in favor of "new" clients. I was at this facility at 601 pioneer in Mesquite location, I have been a customer several times, my adult children and friends go there, my Las experience made my family and friends will never go back, I was to get my nails painted toenails too and my eyebrows to also be done I know the prices and have never had a problem before, the prices are on the board where everyone can see, as I was getting my toes done, the owner came and wanted her pay before I was done with my services usually that happen before your nails are done and she was asking for 20 more than her sign and at the same time my daughter came to see my nails she replied mom did you get you feet done to I said no she said LOOK DOWN the emplements of someone else was still in the bowl with lots of skin on the the lady was eh my feet in that bowl YUCK when I went to take a picture the owners husband grabbed my wrist so hard I dropped my phone and I screamed it left a good bruise, I called the police all the ladies laughed at us, they thought it was over money I have plenty of money I just don't want my feet in a bowl that was not cleaned before it was my turn again Yuck the police came looked at the video and said they could see the very dirty bowl then the owners husband took out a bag handed something to the officer who came out and told me, when the owner covered the mess with a towel I crossed the line by moving do I could snap a picture and left I was steamed, I went to the hospital they wrapped my sprained wrist, buyer beware check the cleanleness because people have received bad infections due to dirty emplements and bowls, I received a sprained wrist trying to take a picture of the nasty bowl and he did not go to jail for hurting me due to paying off the one officer. This is the best salon! I have been coming here for over 2 1/2 years, and always have had great service. I get gel on my nails that last forever (4 1/2 weeks). The salon is bright and makes you feel cozy. The service is wonderful, and the deluxe pedicure is to die for. I always feel that I have been to a salon that would cost over $100 when I leave. Went here this past weekend to get my nails done for a wedding I was in the next day. I received a simple manicure with gel nail polish. The girl who did my nails was friendly, but I'm not impressed with the quality. The shape of my nails isn't done very specifically, she spent less than a minute shaping and working on cuticles, so they're not even and the cuticles are not as clean looking as they could be. The worst part is within a day my nails already had large chips and cracks going through the entire nail. I haven't had this problem with gel polish in the past, so I can only assume it has something to do with their products/application. Read Less

I only went to this place because its across the street from the softball fields and we had over an hour to kill before my boyfriends softball game. I wanted a full set and a french pedicure. I showed the guy a picture of the manicure I wanted (a very simple design where all the nails are peach colored acrylics and the ring finger is light blue with pink roses painted on it. I could paint the roses myself with the right colors.) he said he could do it and told me to sit down and pick my colors. I tried to find a peach color and a light blue and they didn't have those basic colors! So I picked a different pink and a grey for the ring finger. He cut my ring finger on my left hand. He asked if I wanted their special (20% off a full set and deluxe pedi) and told me a deluxe is $35 and a regular pedi is $18 I said I just wanted a regular pedi with French tips he said ok. So my toes (done by another guy) look great and my acrylics look ok but they're definitely not what I wanted. I thought he was gonna paint the flower design on it but he comes out with the gaudy, cheap 3-D flowers that were ugly. And I said I didn't like them and he said with attitude "then what do you want?!" I said forget it. It came time to pay and they don't have prices listed on the wall so I had no idea what my acrylics would cost. Then he writes down 35 and 23 and tells me it'll be $58. I said he told me a basic pedicure was $18 and he tried to tell me its extra to get French tips instead of a solid color!! I have NEVER been anywhere where that costs extra and he sure didnt tell me that when I told him I wanted French. So I paid $53 and told him I was paying for a basic pedi, and no tip since he cut me, lied about the prices, and lied about being able to do what I wanted when I showed him a picture. I'm pretty sure he made up some rediculous number for the acrylics but I can't prove it bc prices aren't listed anywhere. And also, if someone brings you a picture of what they want, that means do it exactly like the picture and don't lie about what you can do just to get them in the chair. This is the worst salon I've ever been too!! Plus, I didn't see them sanitize a single thing while I was there (including the tool he cut me with!) Read Less

The ONLY reason I gave it one star is because Kim does a beautiful, thourough, and quick job on acrylics. Only 30$ and they were great. Only con was even though I had an appointment set, I still waited 30+ minutes on her to finish on someone that didn't have an appointment. Annoying. Then I came to get a fill and it took 2 hours. Had someone else do it because Kim only works weekends. BAD CHOICE!! they came out jagged, blotchy, and with dark lines going through them. I argued for over 20 minutes with them and STILL paid 27$. For a fill...? Should've gotten an all new set for 3 more dollars. Prices aren't listed and the other woman there is incredibly rude. If you go, only go to Kim!! Read Less
