For the record, I have to give 1 star or I’m unable to post this review, but hands down I give 0 stars! My experiences here have steadily declined and I’ve been a customer for years. I’ve brought my two daughters on several occasions, but today sealed the deal that we won’t ever step foot in this place again. The service was terrible and the woman doing my pedicure scolded me when I flinched for having tender feet. Then when the manicurist giving my daughter her pedicure cut her cuticle badly - the woman giving me my pedicure looked and laughed. Seriously!!! The woman wasn’t wearing gloves and proceeded to pour acetone on the injury then oil the a liquid bandaid. Meanwhile the woman giving me my pedicure, who clearly knew I had tender feet, made a fist and proceeded to very firmly “massage” the most sensitive part of the underside of my feet rather than a relaxing leg massage. It was a nightmare! Then when I was handed the bill by the guy at the front desk who is always on his IPad named Kevin, I let him know my experience was terrible. Like I said, I’ve gone to this Day Spa since they opened - a loyal customer - daughter’s wedding party, prom experiences ... girls night out! So when I complained, Kevin started talking in another language to the awful manicurist who did my pedicure about my complaints. She proceeded to come up to me and ask if there was a problem ... 😱😑🤭!!! I let her know I was not at all happy with the way things had gone and I felt she was unprofessional and rude. She then began arguing - all the while the “manager” heard everything but didn’t bother trying to work things out and apologize for the awful service I received. It got ugly! Then when I walked out, they told my daughter they would call the cops on me! Bottoms line here: I will never step foot in that place and would highly discourage my friends from going there and seriously - there are so many other places offering quality service! We went to get mani and pedis for my daughter’s prom. Quickly, we realized that they were not experienced. There were errors after errors, everything from splashing water with pillows landing in the foot wash bowl, to crooked toe nail trimming and poor polish job. The ultra violet light used for gel polish was shorting out and taped with electrical tape. They cut the the skin with the cuticle cutters. The water would not get hot in pedicure spa. We looked and could not see state license for technicians and wonder if they were using trainees from a nearby cosmetology school. They cannot converse in English at all and after $130, I will not be back. I cannot in good conscience go without sending this warning out to all. Read Less

This is my third time coming here. The first was for eyebrow waxing. The lady did a great job, minus not trimming my brows with brow scissors so I had to trim them myself when I got home. The second time was for a pedicure. The guy did good with the massage and the polishing just didn't trim my toe nails as short as I like. This time I'm getting another pedicure, I just requested that I want my toe nails shorter and she cut them short. I had originally planned on getting a gel manicure and a pedicure but when I asked the lady who greeted us at the door how much the gel was she didn't know the answer so I just decided on pedicure only. But their pedicures are awesome, even the cheapest one ($27) is still very relaxing and you get a good massage. I've done both the classic and the mandarin scrub which is better but a bit more money. I've been coming here for about five yrs. In five yrs I've only had my nails messed up twice by the same girl that probably isn't there anymore. Salon is clean, friendly, sanitary, staff could be a lil more friendly and smile more. Prices are a lil high. But overall they do a great pedi and next Gen. Read Less

My mom and I went there for a mani/ pedi. They did a wonderful job on me, but the guy that did my mom's hands didn't spend nearly as much time on her as they had on me, he didn't trim her cuticles, the nail polish was uneven, and almost as soon as we left, the nail polish had chipped on 7 of her nails. When we went back to have it redone, they didn't apologize. They did bring the manicurist back out to fix his mistake which he did, but he made it obvious he wasn't happy with us even though it wss his mistake. I was nervous coming here because of all the bad reviews. I got a gift card to here and figured I'd use it one day after work to get a pedicure. I came in without an appointment (around 2pm) and was sat immediately. I picked out the sugar scrub pedicure which is $32. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who did my pedicure. She was fantastic! The water was kept warm the entire time. She clipped my toe nails perfectly without leaving them too long or cutting them too short causing pain. She scrubbed my feet with a sugar scrub then massaged a sweet smelling lotion into my legs and feet. The massage was awesome. She wasn't too soft but wasn't attempting a deep tissue! She then wrapped my legs in warm towels to let the lotion soak in. After my pedicure she put my boots in a plastic bag (it was raining out) and put my feet in throw away plastic shoes. I really appreciated her doing that rather than make me walk out barefoot or dare to put my boots back on like some places!The music in the place is kept low and they play soft rock. They have a few tv's around the room for you to watch. I think they had it on HGTV when I was there. Overall a really good experience. This place should just stick to nails. They should remove "spa" from their name because you do not receive the same treatment or quality that you would at a real spa. It is hard to put blame on the workers because they are barely paid anything. Typical cheap owners who refuse to pay their staff well because they could care less about how the customers are treated. If you make an appointment for a massage or facial, good luck-chances are they will not show up...If they do then it is a toss up whether or not you get good service. Since they get paid about 10 bucks (after taxes) per massage/facial- don't have high expectations. Read Less

Don't go there. Sadly, I was trying to support local vendors with my brow wax--not a lot of money, but I am hosed for at least a year as despite my requests for clean up only, I am looking at the extreme opposite of a unibrow. Trust me, pay the extra & go to Hotel Palomar & completely bare. Read Less
