This place is a disaster they never have your appointment right at all. I went on a Monday when they are supposed to give you 10% off but they insist on doing a collagen treatment to your hands to make up for it. I said no but before you know ir Jenny puts it on my hands. She insisted on how I should do my nails not what I wanted and she skipped over the lotion and oil on numerous visits. I was definitely not treated like the others. Once I even asked Jenny to fix my cuticles and she not only gave me an attitude again but butchered me and my skin was throbbing for days. Management is a disaster. My nexgen color was always uneven cause she buffed too much in certain areas.Avoid at all costs especially since they are always trying to upsell. Shame on me that I continued to go to her although her work wasn't as good as it was when I started going to her. Read Less

This is my favorite salon. Kelly and Jennifer are amazing at nails and Lynn gives the best pedicure and massages. Everyone is always nice and friendly, I've never had a bad pedicure or manicure from anyone here. I do acrylics, gel or Nextgen sometimes, always great! Read Less

I went in for a gel French manicure for homecoming and the man that did my nails did so good but his attitude was off. He was rude and it seemed like he didn't want to be there. He seemed annoyed and I felt uncomfortable the whole time. My nails did chip the next day so I feel like he could have taken more time but they did look good the day I got them. I typically come here a few times a year to get a pedicure. It's never been the best pedi I've ever had, but this last one was definitely the worst. First, approximately 4 hours (aka plenty of drying time) after I left, my big toe smudged horribly requiring me to go back and get it fixed. They did fix it for free, as I expected. However, to make matters worse I developed a toenail infection requiring antibiotics. This is the first time that has ever happened to me and I definitely will not be back here as a result. It was my first time at this place and I could say i had the  worse experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I wanted nexgens and the lady that did my nails was absolutely rude, and had an attitude toward me because my hands tend to sweat a lot during a manicure. She told me why my hands are like this and asked me to go wash them like 5 times. And then she started shaking my hands which felt so awkward and I asked her to stop. Then her phone called and she was gone for 10 minutes, and the whole time she was FaceTiming someone and it was so disturbing and distracting. One other big issue for me  as she kept talking in her own language with the other staff there and it makes me feel uncomfortable because I have no idea what they are saying and it's just rude!!!  she also made my nails way too thin and all my cuticles were bleeding after. She got all my nails done in 25 minutes, and it looked absolutely disgusting. I will never go to this place ever again, they have no idea what they're doing or how to have a "decent costumer service" and I don't want to be treated like that. Absolutely terrible. Read Less

If there was a negative rating, this place for sure would receive it. DO NOT go there, unless u want damaged nails, rude staff, unprofessional service and sky high money. I've had my nails done many time, every nexgen involves cutical trimming, when I asked her for that she said, it will be extra $10. After paying that added cost, she did not even care to use cutical softener, she pushed my cuticals and cut them dry, with out being careful and even after that job was so horrible. My nails have matte finishing patches, they were suppose to be glossy and chic. They have rough texture on them, and no one would fix it, ended up paying $70 for ugliest nails. I asked for longer nails, she said because of bad nail bad it's not suggestible. Than I asked for oval shape, she said she can't do that and left them square roundish look. How rude Let's talk about pedicure, I asked for classic pedicure, she didn't even cut in grown nail, barely filed and painted them, the massage was so pathetic my 2 year old nephew can massage harder. It took 15ish minutes for pedicure to end. I left with out any tips. WORST WORST WORST experience ever. Read Less

I have been a customer here for several years and am never disappointed! Nancy takes care of me like a queen and is also great with brow wax and shoulder massage. Pricing is the norm for this area and the decor has recently been updated and looks nice. New chairs are very comfortable. Currently, there is a discount if you go there Monday through Friday until 3 pm. Give them a try! Read Less

Horrible customer service.  Rude and sad experience. This salon is in a upscale area of N Dallas.  They were very busy  but they checked me immediately and young man started  doing my nails. Then evidently one of his regulars walked in. ..he jumped up to greet her.   I don't think she had an appointment he told her it would be 30 minutes -/ which I knew was a lie he just begun my nails and Gen nails usually takes 40 to 50 minutes. Plus I needed a pedi & eye wax. So she wasn't taking no for an answer - so he ran over and started doing her nails and left me sitting there 10 min!  Then came back to explain he had to do her nails and can I please wait? I said did she gave an appt. ? He lowered his head and said no.  I'm started to think this place is a front for slave traffickers!  She was Asian I might add!  I got my things and walked out. I'm 50++ / been getting mani & pedi for over 30 yrs now in TX and in CA. I'm a very tolerant person but.. I felt I needed to share such terrible customer service.  And raise a red flag. I would like to start my review saying that management definitely was helpful in this situation and the gentleman who performed my pedicure was great. I frequented Starwood Nail Salon throughout high school and college and recently moved to Dallas so I do not attend as much as I used to. I took my grandmother, mom, and younger sister for mani-pedis yesterday afternoon and was incredibly put off by my experience. As i stated earlier in my review the pedicure was great and i wish i had the gentleman's name who performed it so i could recommend him to the other yelpers out there! My manicure was another story. The woman performing my manicure service sat down and didn't say a word just grabbed my hand and started the service (which is fine). She began clipping my nails and each was uneven and much longer than i asked. I asked her a total of four times to cut them shorter before she actually did, during each time i requested it she told me they were already short and they were fine at the length they were already at... The final time she went to cut my nails she cut the skin on my thumb (on right hand), index (on both hands), and ring finger (only cut on right hand). Upon each cut i pulled my hand back because it hurts when someone directly cuts the top of your fingers and she told me i needed to stop moving my hands away. After seeing how horrible the clean up portion of the manicure I was definitely eager for the massage portion to try and relax a bit.  My cuticles are raw from the amount of skin that was removed around my finger beds. The massage was in total 67 seconds on the left hand and 69 on the right hand. I definitely timed this after how i saw that my service was going.My hands hurt after this experience. (and i should note they are sore today- a day after)Eventually i spoke to the manager about this (we had just started polishing my hands) and i was clearly hurting from the cuts and upset. The nail tech began arguing with me about the situation and I had to ask to have my  manicure finished by someone else.... which she argued with me again about. When i asked this she also told me the service was already done even though only one coat had been done and a top coat had not been applied, i asked her about the top coat and she eventually said fine and stormed away from my chair. The manager did not charge for the manicure which i am very happy about but i am so displeased by the behavior of this woman during the service. I am hoping my cuticles or the cuts on my hands do not become infected throughout this process. Read Less

I've been here a few times now for pedicures and honestly I've been pretty pleased every time.  The salon is decorated well (it's very inviting and relaxing!) and everything is very clean.  The staff is fine from what I can tell though the girls I've had have talked very little.  They go a nice a thorough job and my feet/toes look and feel great afterward.It is a little pricey depending on what service you get but overall I've had a very different experience than some of the other reviewers here. I have been going to this nail salon for 6 years. The service is great, the atmosphere is relaxing and Kelly does an amazing job with my nails! I have never had my acrylics or the gel last more than 2 weeks - the new dipping powder method lasts three weeks - no breaks, chipping:) I would highly recommend this salon and Kelly in particular!
