My first 3 visits were great but this time I came in on a Tuesday so I figured an 1 and 45min would be plenty of time for a manicure and pedicure. I was only able to get a pedicure because they did 8 to 10 people’s nails while I got my pedicure and I’m sure some had appointments but not all. I got there at 2:45pm and they were going to start my manicure at 4:15 but I needed to leave at 4:30 so 15min would not have been enough time. I have gone to this nail salon many times but today I had an awful experience and I will never go back. Both nail techs that worked on me (nexgen mani/pedi) did not understand ANY English which resulted in me not getting what I had asked even tho they would continue to say "YES" and would give me an attitude for asking repeatedly and then speak in their language (which I'm sure was about me). My pedicure came out absolutely awful. But to be honest what I'm most upset about is how the manager Minh handled the entire situation. He is always nice but when I complained for the first time ever....he stood up for his workers and kept blaming me on the words I had used to ask for things. For example...I asked 5 times for the callous remover and it never got done...he told me I was supposed to say "hot wax." I mean really?!?! The same thing happened with my mani. I kept insisting this is not my fault and how upset I was but he continued blaming me and never apologizing. He didn't even give me a discount on this horrible experience after being a consistent customer and spending $150 or more every 2 weeks. I am beyond furious and I will never be back!!!!!!!! I really want to like this place because it is so close to my house and is a nice facility with friendly people working here. However, I have been here 3 times, and 2 of the three times I have left bleeding. The very first time was during a pedicure when the tech cut into my cuticle and the other during my nex gen application.  This last time was my nex gen. My nail tech took nearly 2 1/2 hours to do my nails which was also aggravating, but the biggest issue was her gluing my skin to the top of my nails  and then using a nail file to try and detach it, filing deeply into two of my fingers in the process. I will never go back. I like to enjoy getting my nails done and this was the total opposite of enjoyment. So tired of going to nail salons that are inconsistent...this place is not one of them. Each visit I have found the salon clean, neat and was addressed immediately upon my arrival. Been to Charmlux about five times now and each time left happy with the result.  Today was the second time "Van" did my nails and she is wonderful! Honestly everyone I have encountered there has been polite and has done a wonderful job whether Nexgen, Manicure or Pedicure. I have broken a nail twice on 2 separate occasions and they fixed them without hesitation under their guarantee even though it was my fault.Their customer service is awesome as they focus on making sure customers leave satisfied.  That said, if you are looking to pop in and out in 30 minutes or less you may want to schedule a bit more time to sit back and relax while they pamper you and make your nails look amazing! Went off several recommendations,however was less than impressed. Didn't start my nails until pedi was over. The massage did not last 20 mins, which is what is I paid for and was so soft I couldn't really feel it. The gal that did my next gen was very rough on my cuticles and I have had horrendous hang nails since then (I actually bled during the process of her buffing the nails). It was 2 weeks yesterday and have already lost 3 of ten nails(they starting lifting the next week). Charged $10 more for glitter color because it's a "design". Overall spent 2x as much as I do at Villa and got less than stellar work done. Will likely not return. Read Less

I found my new nail salon!!!  The decor is so beautiful and the sound of the fountain is very relaxing. The staff is sooooo friendly!!!  My nails look amazing, and My husband loved his pedicure, as well. He said it was the best one he's ever had. We will definitely be back!! Read Less

This is the nicest and by far, cleanest salon I've ever been to. I love that all the nail tools are disposable and they place a liner in the tub for pedicures. When you are on immunosuppressant therapy for an auto-immune disease, these safety measures make it possible for me to get pedicures now. Read Less

I am new to Frisco and was in need of a pedicure and getting my nails done. I went to a different salon prior to here in Frisco and was not pleased with the work. So I decided to do some research and try Charmlux since they had very good reviews. I had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and catering. Eden did a great job on my pedicure and NexGen. She was patient as I am very picky but she nailed it! The salon is very relaxing, clean and new. I've read other reviews that recommended Emily, Khang and Tony. Just got the best mani I have ever had - even included a shoulder message!I am not really a "nail girl" - just trying to have mine not look horrible and unkept. I actually have not had a mani and a pedi for a while because even with what seems like an abundance of nail salons in our area - finding one that I felt comfortable and that I was not getting ripped off has been difficult. I seem to just get ok service and ok results. And usually if I get the gel the other places seem to forget and skimp on the rest of the manicure.Today I was in need of a good mani and pedi to look professional for an interview - and I sweated over what salon to go to. After researching many, including a few of the old places I used to go - I read the great reviews about this new salon. I decided to try it - and got great service and a great result!I went with the Lavender pedi and mani and had gel polish on my hands. Great choice - the messages were great and included hot stone. I do not recommend this place. As a man, I prefer men work on my feet and hands and not a woman. Apparently this is against their policy. Men do not work on men or children. Backwards. It's a only a nail treatment for God's sake. Also, nobody could figure out how to use the massage chair. It was uncomfortable and hurt my back. In addition, when they did my manicure, the water for your fingers was ice cold and the position of your hands when they did the manicure was uncomfortable. Initially I was drawn in because there was 20% off and there was long waits at the two nail places I usually go to. Surprise though, I found my new favorite place!! From the second I walked in I was treated so kindly. I was quickly taken to a chair which had to be one of the most comfortable massage chairs I've used. The options for pedicures and manicures was amazing. I had the green tea pedicure! They had tons of options for colors, almost too many lol. Definitely will be coming back here every time! Read Less

Visited for the first time today based on a neighborhood recommendation & oh so glad I stopped by! I just had hands down the best leg & foot massage ever! This place is very clean, they have an extensive menu of pedicures & manicures, and my person was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately I did not have a great experience as the other reviewers. I had walked in at noon and was told my wait was 15 mins. I've to,d her the color and that I had to leave at 1:30 and she said no problem. They sat me in a chair and the women who greeted me turned on the water and just walked away. In her rush she didn't take the time to check the water temp. The water got so hot but luckily the technician next to me noticed and turned it cooler. 45 mins passed and no one has helped me. I decided that there's no way it was going to be done so I started getting up to leave. The technician next to me told me someone will be here soon to start my nails. I'm Vietnamese so I understood everything he was saying. He was scrambling around looking for someone to come do my nails. At 12:50 (50 min wait!) someone came to start on my toes. Then the woman who greeted me cane to start on my nails. I'm thinking while you stood around for 50 mins why did you not help me? She then proceed to ask me what I wanted to do which I told her when I came in was ombré look. I gave her a picture where it's white on bottom and brightens to blue. She then tells me another person was better at doing ombré and sent her my way. Of course she didn't explain how I wanted the ombré to look so the technician had done blue on bottom and white on top. In conclusion my nails look like crap (it's not even ombré) because they were rushing. I didn't get my full services and they didn't finish until 1:45 making me late picking up my son. And to top it off, I was charged $93 for a quarter of what I received. I've never been so angry in my life. I will definitely not go back there ever again and I highly do not recommend them! This salon just opened two weeks ago. I was hoping it would be my new favorite place and it is! I've lived in Frisco for a year and a half now and have struggled to find a nail salon that hit all the points: customer service, price, and quality. This salon is it! It's really pretty and clean inside. Their color options are on point. They have all the newer collections and lots of variety.  The chairs are new and the massagers are great. Prices were great for everything they include. And they have 30% off services right now. I had the eucalyptus pedicure with Shawn. He was great!
