I am typically really picky with my nails, so today I made Top & Kelly step out of their comfort zone a bit. When they didn't have the original color i wanted I was going to go with navy blue (my back up) but Top actually offered to make the color for me!! I had a nail emergency (one of my nails broke in the most painful of ways, where the nail was hanging on by my skin) and stopped at this salon. Typically I don't stop at salons I haven't visited before, but I'm very glad that I stopped here. My nail technician Angel was very friendly and amazing!  She was very careful and made sure to check with me every step of the way to ensure she was not causing me additional pain. After successfully removing the nail, she did a new set of dip nails and they are absolutely perfect. She was very attentive to detail and made sure they were exactly what I wanted and that they looked great before I left. She also explained and walked me through how to care for the finger/nail was previously injured and how long it would take to fully heal. As far as the spa itself, it was very clean and inviting. They have a LOT of polish, gel, and dip color choices, a bar and most surprisingly even though they're located by TCU was not overpriced by any means. Will definitely return! Read Less

I came in with the worst nails! I got dip nails done elsewhere on Sunday and they were done horribly super thick and bumpy. I came in today and everyone at U nails & Spa were so welcoming and accommodating. They fixed my nails, they do not look like the same ugly nails! I was going to get the usual acrylic set, but the lady next to me had just finished up her SNS nails and let me look at them. So I gave it a shot. WOW! Lightest, prettiest nails I've ever had. I've been looking for a great new nail place close to my work and I have found it! U nails & spa is great! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I get SNS dip nails and they are the absolute best. I used to swear by gel nails but now I have switched to dip and will never go back. My nails are strong and beautiful! Wow! Very impressed! I went to U Nails today after reading reviews on Yelp. I'm staying in the area and U Nails was convenient. I noticed their extended hours which was nice to see. As I entered I was greeted right away by the owner, Top, very nice guy! He explained the SNS Dipping Powder and I decided to try it along with a pedi. Both ladies were very kind and friendly. Both ladies looked me in the eyes when we were talking, listened when I had a question or comment and that made me feel at ease and included, like I mattered and wasn't just a number! They had tons of color options and I believe organic options as well. I love the SNS powder! Easy, quick and it seems healthier for nails. Definitely no odors! Beautiful! The pedicure, all I can say is OUTSTANDING! I did the #4- we're talking massage, hot towels, yummy orange smelling scrub, hot wax, hot stone massage and on and on! My feet were beyond help and I am shocked and amazed at how beautiful my toes and feet look! I feel like a female again- ready to wear strappy sandals and use elegant hand gestures!! I had the pleasure of sitting and talking with Top, the owner! When does that happen in a spa? NEVER! What a personable, hard working, friendly guy! Top has owned this spa for 15 months. He's turned it around by hard work, integrity and taking care of his employees as well as clients! If you look at old reviews they are not great BUT it's BEFORE Top took over! It is so unfortunate that I have to give this place a bad review. Only because the quality of her work was great! But, unfortunately my nail technician DID NOT LISTEN. I literally just left from getting my nails done. When I got there I advised I wanted to take my gel nails off and do the dipping powder. Proceed to pick out my colors and she see my looking at white and said you going to get white, I said yes with another color. When it came to her dipping my nails she immediately goes and gets white and starts (without confirming with me the color I was getting). She starts to put the white on all my nails I stopped her and said I wanted multiple colors, she goes to say yes ma'am not done yet. So I let her proceed. She gets done dipping my nails and proceeds to file them, I stop her AGAIN and said I wanted multiple colors she says, yes ma'am not done yet. She gets done filing and I stated to her I wanted glitter on some of my nails, she still says she is not done. We end up finishing and there is no glitter on my nails. I am disappointed because I advised her 3 times that this white is not the only color I wanted. I'm not sure if she did not understand me, but if she didn't I rather her or someone else tell me she did not understand but to blatantly just act like you understood what I was saying was not cool. Also, advised her at the beginning of  my service I wanted a pedicure and she said okay. But, at the end walked me to the register as if I was done. I understand it was 8:45 so she probably couldn't because they closed at 9(even though 3 other people were there, 2 just started a full set and 1 getting a pedicure). But, communicate that to me please. I have never been to a nail salon were I had to keep repeating myself and still not get what I want. Great experience! I came straight from work at 7pm and they stayed open past their 8pm closing time to finish my mani/pedi I needed for a wedding. This place rocks. I called three nail salons before I called u-nails and no one could do what I was asking for. It isn't complicated, I asked for a beach, like just an hombre of blue basically with some glitter at the end. U-nails was funny and said come in and we will work something out. I went in, we went with a totally different design, but they were very accommodating, offered me a drink. They did an immaculate palm tree design with rhinestone coconuts and even gave me a massage. I want to preface this by saying I am not one to usually post a bad review. However, If I could give -10 stars I would. Hands down the worst experience at a nail salon I've ever had. I came in to get a full set along with a polish change on my toes as I was going to be a bridesmaid this upcoming Saturday. I chose the color Bubble Bath by OPI and they also had this color in the gel for my set.The manager proceeded to tell me that they also do the SNS dip in that color by mixing different colors and that it's the perfect match so I reluctantly agreed. Vivian proceeded to put 3 dips worth of white and a Pepto colored pink as the 4th layer. Guys, this color could not be further from what I wanted. Not too mention is was done extremely sloppy. White splotches show through the pink top layer. The color is white at the base and sides of all my nails. She cut two of my fingers in the process as well which whatever, it happens. The best part was when after my nails were done she changed the polish on my toes to the bubble bath color that I requested. The manager walked up and said "you like the color". Yeah dude, I do. This is what I wanted on my fingers as well. Which I held my fingers up to my toes to show him it was in fact NOT the perfect match as he had assured me previously. He proceeded to tell me that the polished used on my toes was an older version of the color and they've since gone by the new color. He went and got it and it was the exact same as the "older" version. It took everything I could to keep from laughing in his face. I'm sure others have had great experiences. I ended up at U Nails while I was waiting with my Husband at the Apple store nearby (walking distance) and I am so happy that I did. Normally all the nails shops/ spas I go to are crazy busy and overpriced. This place made me feel super welcomed and the techs were so nice and personable. I was seated right away (it happened to be a slow thursday) and one tech worked on my pedi while the other started on my mani. Very nice equipment and environment- this is most likely my new nail shop! The prices are definitely the cherry on top and they have a really good color selection on polish. Definitely recommend! Worst manicure I've ever gotten, I have cuts on 8 of my 10 fingers and the lady that did my nails was very rough. 2 of my nails look horrible and I have dried blood in the nailpolish from her cutting me so much. Plus I sat there for 45 before even getting worked on. Read Less

Try the dipped SNS nails! So much better than acrylics which hurt to rip off. They have over 300 colors of the new SNS nails. Also another thing I like is I can actually breathe in here, unlike other salons that smell like chemicals and acetone. Read Less

I thought I would give this place a try, since I was in Fort Worth and it was under new ownership. But my experience was less than par. The electricity was put on one side of the spa, so I ended up moving chairs. I went for a basic mani and pedi. Three people worked on my nails, while I was getting my pedicure, because clients would come in and the tech was reassigned. I felt like the services could have been better. The polish was too thick and I needed another pedicure the following week.Hopefully over time they will get better. Read Less
