I had a great experience at NV getting my hair done for the USMC Birthday Ball! Dawn was my stylist, and she has her own private room in the back with cute, rustic decor, scented candles, and calming music. I sipped a glass of wine and chatted with Dawn while she created a masterpiece! My hair turned out GORGEOUS and just how I had envisioned it! It's possible I have a bias (my wife works there) however this salon really is fantastic. I've always been strangely particular (for a guy) about my hair and before my wife and I even met, I had been getting my hair cut here by Diana for years and was always incredibly pleased. Brittany is my current stylist and, being my wife, I just let her do whatever she wants. Her creativity has given me a haircut a bit different than the standard guy cut, but I've never received more co...mpliments on it in my life (which I don't think happens often to men) and is more than acceptable at my corporate place of work. In all good faith I can tell you that you will not be let down by any service performed at this salon; I've spent a lot of time here over the years and seen the high quality work done by every stylist. They listen intently to what you want done and will never rush through a service; you will have your expectations exceeded by the amount of care and effort put forth by everyone here. Why can't we give 0 stars?! This place doesn't even deserve 1! How awful my service was from Stacey. She gave me EXACTLY what I didn't want then charged me without notice an extra $100 I have text messages and receipts to prove this. And she said she was feeling generous and should really charge me an extra $50 WHAT?!!! so after my disastrous hair and everyone at work telling me my hair looks red instead of the ash color I asked for she said she will have to charge me more to fix it... I am looking for a new salon as I have lost my previous hair dresser. To be fair, I have been looking for a new salon for a while and have had numerous bad experiences, so my patience was low to begin with.When I scheduled my appointment, I was not told who my stylist would be (strike 1).Then I arrived about 12 minutes early and was informed that my stylist had not arrived yet. I work in the service industry and you should always arrive 10-15 minutes before your first appointment to put away your personal items and prepare your station (strike 2).10 minutes after my appointment should have begun, I went to the front desk to see if my stylist had arrived. She had not. The front desk did try to reach her, with no luck. At this point, I am really pissed. I have spent months trying to find an new salon and desperately need my hair cut. I tell the front desk this is unacceptable and that I am a brand new client. (strike 3).I then walk out. No one offered to put me with another stylist or tried to make other arrangements for me. I recently returned from a year overseas and in desperate need of a haircut and picked NV after checking their website and reading some other reviews about their haircuts. It was the worst cut and colour I've ever had! I have my hair coloured dark burgundy, so I chose Rhonda was touted on their website as an expert colourist with red hair. When I got there, I showed her pictures of a cut that I knew would look good on me. The cut is pretty edgy and I should have known when I looked around and saw everyone else with the same boring basic hairstyle and blond hair that this was not going to work out. She razor cut my hair into something that barely resembled the style then insisted that my burgundy colour had to be lightened for summer. I did want some highlights of darker red but that's not what I got. She bleached it out to a light red orange colour which looked horrible with my skin tone. I think she probably realized it too after she was done because she quickly shoo'd me to the front to pay and said bye without giving me a business card or asking if I'd like to make another appointment. My skin looked sallow and sickly and I was horrified when I got out into the sun and saw the colour.After forking out $155 for this disaster, I had to re-colour my hair myself back to a proper colour for my skin tone, and wound up cutting my hair more myself just to make it look decent to walk outside.If you're looking for a standard cut, nothing edgy or difficult then NV might be OK. But if you're looking for something modern and edgy with a colour other than blond or light brown, stay away far, far away from here! Read Less

I am so grateful to a friend who suggested that I go to Becca at the NV Salon Spa for a haircut while I was visiting in Fort Worth. What a marvelous experience!! My hair is very curly and white - each of which equals unruly! I wasn?t unable to control it - much less style it. Becca was delightfully friendly, professional to the core, and amazingly gifted with shears - a true stylist in every sense of the word! Enough time has elapsed since Becca cut and styled my hair that I have found that my hair has grown in such a way that I can still ""deal"" with it - for the first time in my life!! :-) I hope to be able to fly back to Fort Worth to make another appointment with her. I came in feeling like my frizzy hair was a wreck. I am usually nervous with what people do to my hair. But Teresa was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. After around 2 hours I walked out with shiny straight hair, and I loved it! She is amazing and worth every penny. Teresa was also very nice and not pretentious like some other stylists I had before. I Took My Daughter to the NV Salon Spa of Fort Worth for her 17th birthday and we both enjoyed it so much we will do it again. We first had Facials with Blanca and Rachel. They were both so good at what they did. My daughter keeps talking about it. Then we had a hot stone massage from Joni. We both would recommend this to anybody. It was such a lovely experience for both of us. Then we had Pedicures and Manicures with Sondra and Pam. They both were very good also. I walked into the salon to my amazement I found the place to be very welcoming. The front desk was very helpful and informative about the services. A service I had was a facial from Rachel. The room was tranquil and felt like I was away from everyday life's stresses. She was very knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about my skin which was warm and pleasing to experience. She addressed my needs and provided me to the right products for my skin. I have had many facials but this was honestly a different approach and I really appreciate the all around service. This was my first "day spa" experience and I have to say that over all, it wasn't so great.I had the day spa package; mani/pedi, massage, facial, hair wash/style. This was purchased for me for my birthday, which was about the sweetest gesture I could ever receive. But first there were appointment conflict, so it was moved from 11 am to 10 am. Which would have been just fine if I lived closer, but I live all the way in downtown Dallas.I arrived at my appointment at 10:00 am... sharp. There was another lady that had the same package that started at 10 am also. She came in after me and was called back first. I sat and waited for 10 minutes after 10am for them to tell me that my nail technician, Debbie Guadelupe,  was running a little behind and will be with me shortly.... so I waited..... and waited.... and waited.... at 10:30, the finally informed me again that she is still running late and will be here soon. I finally asked at 10:40 when she was going to arrive because it's been quite a while since I first arrived, but then was informed that she was here and getting my water ready.After getting settled in the seat and having my pedi done by Debbie Guadelupe, in what I thought was the most uncomfortable set up. Raised platform and foot bath off to the left side of the chair so you had to spin and lift your feet each time. The chairs themselves weren't even close to being comfortable themselves. We then had to move to the mani table setup, which was alright, but then I started having real concerns on how she knew how to do nails or even if she cared about her actual career path. She didn't even clean my nails under them, and she filed most of them crooked. I had to ask to have one hand straightened out, but if I were to keep asking, I wouldn't have had any nails left. They were buffed, but in a very rough manner.Though my wait for her to get there was uncalled for, and her work wasn't the best, I had much more planned that I hoped the day would just get better.The massage therapist, James Woodard, came to take me for my massage. I had to yet again, carry my bag and coat to the next area. James was very pleasant and listened to my concerns about my back pain. Though the room itself was cold, he informed me that it was the A/C and he can turn the table up for me to make it a bit warmer. No real complaints with James, he was wonderful in focusing on the muscle structure and was able to understand where my major problems were.After the massage, I walked up to the front desk to find out where I was to be next. The desk clerk informed me that my facial person wasn't feeling well and that she was very sick and had to leave, but wanted to reschedule the facial for another time. I told him no because I live all the way in Dallas. He panicked for a moment, but was able to have Rachel Cohen do my 30 minute demi facial. She was very informative, professional and extremely pleasant to be around. In the short time I was there, I was able to learn so much about my skin that I never knew about. It was a real treat to have her instead of someone that wasn't feeling well.For the last item in my package, the wash and style for my hair. I was placed with Teresa Sadita for my style. She had such a wonderful personality and I had lots of fun with talking with her. She also styled my hair so nice and was absolutely impressed by the smoothness of my hair, which is normally fuzzy and coarse. She used and showed me this new oil product to use instead of conditioner and also gave me a sample to take home.Over all, after my nail tech... I would say that the individual persons were nice to be around. I didn't appreciate my nail person being so late, nor did I appreciate being shuffled around with my bag and coat the whole time (I found out later in the restroom where the lockers were). The whole experience wasn't very "spa" like. It was a salon that happened to have a nail section and other private rooms for the massage and facial.I was very pleased to have gotten this as a gift, but if I were to have paid for it on my own, I would have been very upset in where I spent my money.
