I have gone to Cosmo three times for NexGen nails. Three times I have had a nail chip or break. This has not happened to me ever before with NexGen. I had a mani/pedi.  The person who did the mani gave a great massage. The painting job was pretty good.  The person who did the pedi gave a weak foot massage and the paint job was kinda wonky, honestly.  Since one person did well and the other person, not so much, I have to give them a 3 star review. I came in for my lashes. The person who did my lashes was very cold and not very welcoming. It got even worse, my eyes felt so uncomfortable afterwards. I called back and asked why. She said I could come in to get them removed. I didn't since it was tolerable. I came in for another refill. This time it was a different person. It was the owner Lynn who did my lashes. Then next day i found out left eye and right eye are uneven. So I had to schedule to get them redone. The story continues. Two lashes fell out and left a big hole. For whatever reason, each refilled lash is a big clutch. So they leave a big hole whenever one fell out. I tried to schedule something to come in to refill them...I started texting Sat, Sunday and Monday. And then Lynn told me Tue morning because they were busy. So let me start off by saying it wasn't a bad experience but would I go back? No. I walked into the nail shop with shellac already on my nails and they dipped my whole hand in acetone. I have never been to a nail shop where they dip my whole hand in the acetone it made my hands and fingers so dry for a few days. The guy who did my nails did an okay job but I didn't like the shape of my nails. Nice employees. Expensive for a shellac manicure ($36) not including tip. I'm a kinda indecisive person and Lynn is always patient and helps me pick up what best suites my mood or if there are any holidays coming up. Not really sure how they have such a high rating but this place is terrible. I've had these on for 4 days. The middle finger didn't even have acrylic all the way down the side of the nail and the guy who did them told me "oh it will be ok". When I told the girl at the front that he didn't use any of the "nail repair" stuff that EVER OTHER SALON uses before putting on acrylic she said "oh sorry". I also explained that I wanted my set completely taken off and new tips put on. That didn't happen. He just filed what I had down and then started doing them. I told them MULTIPLE times that I didn't want get polish and that I wanted just a buff... I got gel because they didn't have a clean enough buff pad. I paid $40+ tip for nothing. All they did was say "oh sorry". When I told them that this is the worst experience I've had in a while (because I am trying to find a new salon) the owner or manager said "oh well I'm sorry." Recently I've gotten my mom hooked on nexgen nails. So I took my mom here last month to get her nails redone in preparation for her to return home to Lawton, OK.They did a lovely job on her nails and the tech took her time and tried not to hurt my mom's cuticles however, didn't get the nexgen acrylic powder all the way to the cuticle of the nail and my mother didn't quite appreciate that. However I didn't much notice it, that was her only pet peeve. Their prices on the other hand are pretty reasonable, I only paid $36. I was quoted at $35, so I probably paid $1 more for the change of color for my mom's nails. Not sure and I didn't bother to ask since it was just a dollar. I would like to go here for myself one day, but I don't know if they do basic acrylic (since most places in Texas pressure you to get nexgen or may not much do acrylic at all). Plus I really enjoy the job that the nail tech I know back home in Lawton does. So I'm a bit conflicted. But nevertheless, this place is a nice place to go in comparison to a lot of other places I've tried in or near the Lewisville area. Read Less

First visit was yesterday with my mother in law. Very courteous staff! There was a minor issue with color labeling for the colors my mom in law chose but the staff was quick to help her find something else that she liked and also worked to make sure we were both happy with style and length.They were quick, kind, and very detail oriented. This is my absolutely favorite nail place! I have been other places that are closer to where I live but they just don't compare to Cosmo. To me, it's worth the drive. I always go to Lynn and she always helps me figure out what I want without going over my budget. They greet you by name and treat you like family. My go to nail salon for nexgen set! I've had 5 different nail techs and every last one of them were awesome!!! I've done a pedi there once and it was great too, there seems to be a select few techs who have more experience doing ombre nails with the nexgen which is fine cause they are masters at it. I will be getting my wedding nail set done by them for sure and will be bringing my bridal party as well. You can see people love this shop and their techs because at timea there is a little of a wait but never too long, and I've also seen the same techs there every time which is wonderful to me. I am new to the area and had been making the 45+ minute drive over to Plano to my original nail shop. NexGen has been my go to for a few years now and I have heard stories and not seen the best results from other shops, but I said to myself "It's just nails. Surely, you can find a decent replacement closer to home."  After reading reviews of several shops in the area, I decided on Cosmo. I have been here several times now, with the result of each visit being underwhelming. The plus side is that they work pretty fast. The negative is that attention to detail seems to go out the window in place of speed. I've never left a nail shop with my hands looking like I've been rolling biscuit dough all day as a result of the nail powder never being cleaned off and not being asked to wash my hands before the final coat. The nails that I have now are uneven and already chipped in a matter of 2-3 days.The tech that I visit in Plano cared enough to explain that she always does 1.5 extra dips on my nails because of the shape of my nail bed, to prevent cracks/breaks. Here, no matter what they do, the nails just do not hold up and that's if they even acknowledge my request for extra dips. They are really good about fixing cracks if you walk in with one and they don't charge you, but with one set, I went in like 3 times. Who has time for that?!?? It's also frustrating because these are my nails, not tips.The final straw for me was the most recent pedicure. My husband brushed up against my foot under the covers and said "I thought you got a pedicure today." Wow. This happened again the next night and he commented "I hope you didn't pay for that." Again, wow. The tech used the rough pumice stone just enough to make my feet feel scaly. The last time, I had to actually point out that my feet felt rough when he finished with the pumice stone. He also asked why the nail color and toe color were so drastically different. I had to explain to him that NexGen is a different product, so they just find the closest match in regular polish. He then asked "Is that the best they could do?" The guy that did the pedicure made two trips to the rack to match the color and came back with options that made me question whether or not he even had his eyes open. He clearly didn't care. Walked in with a friend on a Wednesday night in May after reading all the great reviews. What is everyone raving about? Beware of bad service. Rudest nail tech I've ever had.$36 for Shellac or Nexgen manicure$51 for specialty nails like the blue watercolor ombre one in a photo another yelper uploadedWe never had Nexgen/powder/dip manicure before. Before we even chose our nail color, they started removing our existing nail polish. They started on the Nexgen powder dip nail process right after that. No hand soak, no cuticle care. I was so confused. I came here to get my cuticles looking great!They asked me THREE TIMES, "do you want tips?" They were completely judgmental of my nails because they didn't like the shape of them. Take a look at the photo of my nails. Are they that short and terrible? I never had nail techs look at my nails with such disdain. I think asking one time is enough. Stop trying to make me pay extra for something I will never get.My friend got a male tech and I had Jieanin. She pointed out that two of my nails that would be "very difficult" to get a good shape. She started buffing away at my bare nails with her handpiece and went back and forth with FULL FORCE on my thumbnail.  I recoiled my hand back a few times and she did not acknowledge that she was making me uncomfortable.Both of our nail techs got up as soon as they finished our manicures abruptly and told us, "dry your nails for 3 minutes." Meanwhile, another customer walked in and they fawned over her and asked if she needed a drink. They never offered us water..Before we left, I asked my tech why she did not push back or trim my cuticles before she started."That's just how it is. Even if you go anywhere else and get Nexgen, they don't trim your cuticles. You have to let me know before." What kind of explanation is that? She knew it was our first time getting Nexgen, but she did not ask how we wanted our cuticles maintained. The end result was not bad minus the cuticle situation. After all the fuss the tech made about my nail shape, she filed my index finger nails slanted. The whole experience was very rushed and I thought about that rude nail tech every time I looked at my nails and cuticles. I chose Cosmo Nails over 2 years ago. They had just recently opened & already had excellent reviews. I was able to walk in and be seated right away. They were a hidden gem! Over the years their clientele grew very quickly & now it is best to make an appointment. Every tech does an amazing job & every single one of them is very friendly & accommodating. Very bad experience! Came here for my birthday and asked for a specific polka dot design. They told me they could do it, no problem! By the end, the lady decided she could no longer do it. Then she gave me a manicure and my cuticles have been bleeding for the last hour. We went back and showed them and they argued with us and told us we were wrong. If I could give negative stars I would. Don't bother coming here at all! Brought our 13yo daughter here and her mother told them to do a basic mani/pedi. Told us to be back in an hour to pick her up. After more than an hour she still wasn't finished because they had unsold her to a deluxe package without our consent. Went confronted with this, we were told that her momma wasn't specific so they sold our child the most expensive package available. Deceptive practices at best, thievery at worst...go elsewhere!
