I usually don’t review places but I almost didn’t let Lucy cut my daughters hair because of a review. I called to make an appointment yesterday and the lady on the phone said it would be $45. So I took my four year old daughter for her first haircut today, I was nervous because she has very curly but I didn’t want to wait any longer. I got there a few minutes late but Lucy saw us right away. She understood exactly what I wanted and she was great with my daughter. She washed and cut her hair and i couldn’t be happier with the result and she only changed me $20. I’ll be making an appointment soon for myself and i will bring my daughter back to see Lucy. I've debated on writing this for a few days.... I hate saying negative things about people. I really wish I could give a good review for this place. Lucy cut my hair way too short without asking first. Kept walking away mid-cut to answer/look at cell phone. The hairstyle I received was nothing what I asked for. I even had a picture of the hairstyle I wanted. It wasn't difficult, just some long layers with a side bang. I was shocked when I saw what Lucy had done. The only good thing was the conversations going back and forth between Lucy and her parents that she works for. Service that goes beyond the norm. Extended massages during manis and pedis, back and neck massage while toes dry! Talk about relaxed. I will definitely be back. They were very busy but were able to accommodate people walking in without appointments, not affecting those of us with appointments. This is the best salon I have ever been to. Lina is an artist. I get the Permenant gel. It only takes her an hour. It comes out perfect, she doesn't hurt you and Lina is very friendly. 3 weeks ago my hair was 3/4 down my back. My hair was long for more than 7 years, 2 weeks ago I decided to cut it short (at another salon). I got it cut and couldn't do a thing with it for 2 weeks. No body, no style, nothing...it was pretty much a bob cut, which wasn't asked for. I walked into Segovia's (1st visit ever) and unfortunately they were booked. Within the hour they called back to say they had an opening. I went back; everyone was friendly as can be, great atmosphere and William who did my hair, took his time, didn't make it feel rushed and gave me plenty of pointers. I came here for the first time yesterday after a strong recommendation from my coworker to give it a try. It's a small, cozy place and in my opinion- a hidden gem. There are a line of pedicure chairs along windows that overlook a wooded area, it's very relaxing and peaceful. I opted for the spa pedicure, they allowed me to pick from a variety of scents and I chose the rose. The scent was really nice- the spa pedicure was $50 and included hot towels, lotions with Saran Wrap, c...allus removal, hot stone massage and foot/leg massage. All in all the pedicure lasted about an hour and I DID NOT feel rushed- which is my problem with many other nail salons. My pedicure came out really nice, the girls were kind as well- I had Julia. I decided to get a manicure as well because it was only $10 more since I got a pedicure. I went there toward the end of the night and I couldn't help but notice that everyone was cleaning the equipment very well- pedicure stations were well cleaned, the bowls were disinfected, the floor was vacuumed, all of the stations were wiped down. It was reassuring to see cleanliness. They offer a 5% discount if you pay with cash and also have a loyalty card that after 10 visits you get $10 off. I have been going to Minas for quite a while now. It is by far the most sanitary and cleanest place I have ever been! Hands down. They place a new plastic liner in the foot bath for every client and only use sealed utensils. The spa pedicure and manicures have many extras that other places simply do not offer. Like hot stones and a lengthy leg massage, wax heel dip and more. They also let you choose the pedicure product you prefer. Whether it be the Green Tea or Lavender. De...pends which mood you are in! And they also offer green tea or water during your visit. The pedicure chairs are luxurious, comfortable and have hand held massage controls. The view of the woods and the music they play, makes your visit ultra relaxing. Love the mini neck and back massage at the end with the heated cloth! I can't say enough good things about this place - best nail salon in the area by far! Very clean and pretty inside. Mina (the owner) is an absolute sweetheart & her staff is great. She knows all the regulars by name which is nice. I've been getting gel fills here for a while now - both Lina & Sarah do an AMAZING job. I'm super rough on my nails and the color still lasts 3 weeks. I've had pedicures with Jessica, Max and Emma - all were great. Went in for a pixie maintenance and some color. The coloring was awful. Not what I expected from a salon that supposedly has high standards. I was charged 125. Which to me was very unreasonable. My hair was already short and the coloring wasn't even that great it dulled my hair, even. I had to cut my own hair after to fix it to the way I actually wanted it. I would and have recommended Steph to everyone! I have never left a review for anything and I, in fact, only signed up so I can ensure everyone knows she's the best. Steph does amazing cuts and colors. I have been going to steph for about 7 years now and have had every color in the rainbow and each one looked amazing. She also makes excellent recommendations for new styles. She made me break out of my comfort zone with my hair and every style fit me perfectly. She is a stylist that knows what she is doing. Steph has recommended different products for me throughout the years. I have fallen in love with each one. My hair looks healthy and shiny. I recently tried the Keratin treatment after Steph recommended it. My hair has never felt better. I have tons of hair and it's very coarse, and required tons of maintenance. Not anymore! The treatment makes my hair look smooth and has cut the blow drying/styling time in half. Also, I get fewer split ends which has led to less trims... I have been able to grow out my hair a lot quicker. I style my hair almost every day with heat... And it looks like heat has never touched my hair! I have also gotten tons of compliments. Steph has an amazing work ethic. She is always the first one there and last to leave. I have an incredibly busy schedule and Steph will always work with me. She will stay late or come in on what are supposed to be her days off. However, you're not going to get an appointment walking in or calling that day. Steph books up fast, because she is THAT good. Steph is in high demand, so call ahead and book your appointment, she is worth any wait. Steph has a great attitude and is dedicated to her clients. the only times I've seen Steph become unnerved or "rush"clients is when people disrespect her business and other clients. I've seen clients come in late, up to a couple hours, and demand there hair still be done, although that will cause Steph to run late on other clients. Steph manages her time very efficiently and is running a business. She is not appreciative of individuals who come in and do not keep this in mind. People need to be respectful of her time as a professional and my time... Because I am that client whose appointment might be pushed back because you weren't considerate enough to show up on time. Stephanie at Segovia's is the absolute best! I came to her a couple of years ago with my hair a disaster; she created a miracle and has been my stylist ever since. Not only is my hair healthier, but it looks great! I have a huge impatience for waiting for a stylist when my appointment time has passed and this has NEVER happened with Stephanie. She is always on time and I don't sit waiting unnecessarily for her to finish my highlights while she is working on someone else. She is great with time management. As with any stylist that is in demand...I will say if you want an appointment with her, book ahead!!! You can't possibly expect to get into a stylist in high demand on a day's notice...or even a couple of days for that matter. Stephanie is better then words can explain. I was first sent to her 5 years ago when my hair was so embarrassing and falling out wih damage I had done. I was almost too embarrassed to go see her. But she didn't even blink and told me to trust her and I left the salon in tearsof joy feeling pretty and great again. Since then my hair has been amazing and I almost cut it off again when she told me to try a new Keratin treatment before I cut it to take out the frizz and make my natual curls more manageable and so I did and it was life changing. This treatment left me hair helathy and smooth and I can literally take my hands and dry my hair in less then 5 mins perfectly without 2 hours of the big round brush, flat iron and everything I used too. Because of the awesome reviews regarding Stephanie, I decided to to call today. By the end of the call I was left speechless, not because of the awesome or great service Stephanie provides but because of how rude she is. After talking to the receptionist, he transfer me to Stephanie and the first thing she asked was if I was an existing customer. I came across Segovia's, and I read all the wonderful reviews about Stephanie. So I went and gave her a try, and let me tell you she is really great. I didn't know what to do with my bad haircut. So she gave me her suggestions and what she thought in her professional opinion would look good for me. She listened to what I liked as well. I really loved that she did, and I had actually been looking for someone that would honestly tell me what I think not just someone that agreed with everything I said and just let my hair come out bad. Have gone to Stephanie a few times now--I'm so happy I finally found a REAL stylist that I can rely on 100%. She has such a passion for what she does and it shows. I've had so many bad haircuts...to the point of crying many times. I have thinning hair, which is traumatic enough as it is, but getting a haircut that the stylist thinks is 'trendy', rather than what works for me as an individual, just seems to happen over and over. Segovias is the salon to go. The staff is super friendly and their stylists are awesome and very creative. My favorite stylist is Elva. Elva takes her time and listens to exactly what you want in a style and color. Elva saved my hair from some damage done from another salon. I have long thick hair and many times stylists don't like working with girls with long hair, but Elva took her time and did the job right. I read the reviews and the one review which was meant to be a complaint totally sold me on going to Stephanie. The woman was upset because Stephanie told her the cut wouldn't be flattering and she didn't like that.....um wouldn't you want someone to tell you if you were walking around with your zipper down and looked silly? Sorry about the analogy but seriously who doesn't want to look their best? I walked in and as soon as I was done telling her about how my went straight after having kids and I was trying these swoopy bangs she immediately told me I had my bangs going in the wrong direction and as soon as she put them the other way it 100% better. She explained that since my hair had previously been very curly that was how my hair should have been going BUT once it went straight they needed to switch to the other side to make them lay better. Now why didn't the other salon I had been to before explained that?? She then gave me the most beautiful color that is natural looking (no stripes here!!!) and the best cut ever. Full bangs, which I have never gotten so many compliments over. I am insanely cheap and she was worth every penny, There was never pressure and she herself said right away that she understands everyone has a budget and she won't press anyone into any service they can't afford. She has cut my hair short, let it grow out, I have been a brunette and a blonde and I can honestly say that I have loved my hair each and every time.
