I got a gel manicure on 12/28/17. It still looks perfect! The young man who did it is excellent, as today is 1/15/18 !! I've been going to this salon for the 5 years I've lived in DS. One time I went back for a re-do on a regular manicure which I smudged at home - totally my fault but 4 nails were affected. They redid it and wouldn't take any money - again it was my error. TERRIBLE! Good for nothing selection of colors, I didn't even get paint. My pedicure actually HURT my feet. The man scrubbed way too hard and was very aggressive, clearly just trying to get done quickly. Will never go back. Felt bad because my friend paid for it! $105 for 3 people and it WAS NOT WORTH IT. Totally agree that Lynn is the most talented nail technician there. If you're looking for fuzzy conversation, you're in the wrong place. She knows what she's doing and will make sure you're happy.  For a pedicure, ask for Henry. This place is underrated! Read Less

I went here despite the previous reviews hoping they got better with time. They haven't. I had gel nails on and wanted new gel polish. First she filed the old gel down with a nail file and basically sanded down the skin on my fingers at the same time. Then she soaked them with cotton and foil which I'm used too but the polish wasn't quite ready to be scraped and she scraped and scraped it off. My nails are so damn brittle now. I asked not her to cut the cuticles and she did anyways. When she painted the gel did some really weird thing and pulled away from my nail. She just kept adding layers and didn't clean the sides of my nail or make sure she got the sides. I pointed it out to her and she laughed. Everything I asked her the response was a laugh. I get there is a language barrier but really if you can't answer my questions please ask a co-worker. I'm going to get my nails redone tomorrow some place else. I do not recommend going here at all. Also - the place is kinda dirty - the lady just reading her phone should have been cleaning the counters and stations and floors instead of sitting there. Read Less

I don't enjoy leaving "one star" reviews, but I feel that others should know. Very disappointed in the service. Upon entering, I asked if I needed an appointment (early Friday afternoon), they responded "no, but would you wait 20-30 minutes?" I said sure, no problem. I waited just a few minutes, then was escorted to a chair. No further communication was held.  I sat in a bowl of Luke warm water for about 20 minutes. As the employee was working on my feet, she would slap my calf a couple of times to indicate that I needed to put the one foot up, while the other sat in the cold water. Not impressed at all! Lynn is pretty awesome.  She's not there to chat and neither am I.  I've never had a mail lift, or break, or need a repair.  I could go 3-4 weeks after one of her fills.They may not be first class to some, but she does a great job and I'd prefer THAT over sitting with a bunch of spoilt women whining over stuff at a fancier place where they just go to be seen. My cuticles are all scabbed and I can't use my hands at all because my finger hurt so much. The polish is transparent, chipped the night after I got my manicure, and the service was awful. Also, they put gel polish on WITHOUT asking. Cost me an extra $20. My fingernails look and feel AWFUL.Read Less

This place is so bad, and the level of total disregard toward anything that promotes good business is such that I actually came away wondering whether it is a legitimate nail spa at all or some kind of front for other goings-on. I have a pretty good imagination, so maybe they are really just terrible, but the fact that Yelp users have been giving horrible reviews for over 4 years and this place is still open, does make me scratch my head a bit. I went to this salon despite all the bad reviews because it is close to my house. Either the salon had improved or the previous reviewers had a bad experience because I thought my pedicure was very enjoyable and the salon was clean. Everyone was very nice and the woman who did my pedicure was meticulous and excellent. My feet were disgusting and she spent a long time scrubbing off the dead skin and filing my toenails. I was also given an exfoliating scrub for my feet and calves and was then given a massage with lotion. I was very happy with the experience and enjoyed the quiet and simple atmosphere. My nails were painted very well and I came in wearing sneakers so they gave me a pair of thin foam flip-flops to wear home. I would definitely come back here for a pedicure. Terrible place. Someone needs to buy them out and open a real nail salon.  I went in with my daughters for manicures and pedicures.  It was empty when I went in. I should have taken that as a hint.  I was treating my daughters to mani/pedis and all they did was file and paint their nails. Nothing special.  I have a mani/pedi too and the pedi was OK.  No massage at all.  My manicure was terrible.  No lotion, no massage.  Just a huge disappointment. I will never go back. I have been to LK Nails on several occassions, but no more. The staff is rude and they make fun of their customers in a very obvious way. The quality of their services is mediocre, and the salon is not very clean. I will travel to Austin from now on for my pedicures even though they are located very close to me. Terrible experience. I drove 30 miles to get a pedicure only to find they closed 45 minutes before their posted time.  I thought maybe that was a fluke and tried again a second time and had it happen again.  Website and door states that they close at 5 on Sunday. Both  times they were closed by 4:15. There won't be a third time. Read Less
