This was a hard decision to make, but after what I experienced, I can't see telling people to come here. My Mom and I have been coming to Nail Star for a few years and I would have happily written then a four star review without even thinking about it in the past. I love how they are so sweet to their clients and are extremely gentle and sweet to their senior clients, especially the ones in their 70's-90's. But I have to say that my last few visits have been disappointing. My last time there left me with some serious nail damage that will take months to correct. Stupidly, I let the workers convince me that acrylics worked the same as a silk wrap. While I did like the way the polish looked, I hated the nails so much. They were thick and I could not really do anything per usual. When I went back to get them off, they sanded my nails down and left deep grooves in all of my nails and they were horribly weakened and stripped of all moisture. My cuticles are also jacked. I was so disappointed and feel like I can no longer trust them. They seem to have become really pushy with upsales and slack on their work while still raising their prices. I hate to do this, but with the severe damage to my nails and the months it will take to correct it, I have to leave a one star review. No one gets away with making my nails look like an irrigation system. Read Less

I want to say no stars!!! Avoid this nail salon!! They don't clean their utensils nor, is it worth your money or time.I went to this nail salon for a shellac manicure and a pedicure. The location is dated and the equipment is overdue for an upgrade.  I went in and was immediately rushed to the pedicure chair with lukewarm water. The water didn't look right nor did feel right. I was so tired after a stressful week that I put up with more than I would have normally. As the manicurist started to use the nippers I noticed that the tool had someone else's cuticle skin and I had up tell her to clean the nippers. I knew that my experience would be less than desirable. I watched as nail techs took the manicure bowls they were using a return them to the drawer uncleaned. At first, I thought that maybe they will store them there and clean later. However, I watched several of the nail techs remove the bowls and use them on new customers. My shellac manicure was a horrible mess. The nail tech could use some additional practice painting. My shellac manicure chipped the very next day. My pedicure chipped in less than a week. I have never had such a horrible experience. I absolutely should have left as soon as I had to prompt her to clean the nippers. I had such a rough week and was looking for some form of r&r however, I left greatly disappointed. I was too exhausted to even voice my frustrations. Horrible service.Tech do not listen and I received injury (burns)due to negligence of hot wax.Manager would not consider paying medical cost that resulted in negligence of tech. Stay away for your safety! Read Less
