I had come in about a month before to ask questions about getting a perm and spoke with Priscilla. I actually live in Austin, but was visiting friends in Dallas when I stopped by. I have not yet found a stylist in Austin. Plus, it's hard to find someone to do a perm nowadays. I liked how Priscilla was up front about the good and bad of getting the perm and got a good feel from talking to her, so I worked out when I'd be back in the area and set up an appointment. When I came in for the perm, it was great. I was there for about 4 hours (I have a lot of thick hair, so it took a while to wrap). Priscilla was a doll. She was engaging and fun to chat with, but didn't seem to mind when I got lost in my thoughts and was quiet. It's also the gentlest perm I've had. I'm so used to it hurting from the tugging and pulling and such, so I'd taken Advil beforehand to stave off the impending headache. But it was nigh unnecessary. I barely felt anything when she did the wrap. When they went to remove them (2 others ended up helping), there was a little snagging here and there, but not much. The end result was gorgeous. I'm still getting used to it, but it looks great. Priscilla totally understand when I said I didn't want to look like a bell - and I don't! I had a great time and got superior service. When I booked my WEDDING hair style I made is VERY clear i needed someone who can do ALL types of braids, because I had a couple "different" braids in mind and had pics to reference. Was told no prob, don't worry about sending the pics ahead of time, they have a great braid GIRL and they would book me with her. I get there, and was told the braid girl isn't available even tho I specifically asked for the braid girl. My stylist COULDN'T DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN A TRADITIONAL BRAID.!!!!! ALL I GOT FOR $170 WAS A WASH, STRAIGHTEN AND STYLE AND NOT EVEN WHAT I ASKED FOR. MY HAIR WASN'T EVEN LEVEL ON TOP, THERE WAS PART THAT WAS "LUMPED UP"! NEVER AGAIN. I walked into this place on a Monday for a haircut and Rachel was the stylist that was available to do my hair! She was AMAZING!! Although her prices were at a beginner level for this salon, she definitly knows what she's doing. She was so knowledgeable about layering, cutting, and the products she suggested are great. Ended up cancelling my appointment here because I wasn't going to spend that much money to be treated so rudely. Front desk person wasn't around, walked around reception area for 10 minutes waiting to be helped as numerous staff milled around, none asked if I'd been helped. I drove an hour for consult that ended up being conducted by a young girl that wasn't even a stylist. In poor judgement I put $100 deposit down on a $300 appointment. I cancelled my appointment a week befo...re and have yet to receive my refund. I received quotes from two other salons that we're half the cost and much more friendly and attentive staff that valued my time. I'm still waiting on my refund of my deposit 2 weeks later and had my hair done at another salon for a third of the price I was quoted. Was horrible. Don't listen on the color. Robotic to what salon wants not what customer wants. Half a hair cut. She hurt and pulled my hair during a washing n cleaning up back neck area. Salon La Page is such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Simone is such a talented stylist and colorist. I trust her explicitly with my hair If she is booked, I will wait for her. Never a hard sell to purchase the newest product in the shop. She recommends what MY hair needs. AND, did you know all the stylists at Salon La Page participate in continuing education classes? Love this place! James always makes my hair look awesome, and so far I've always been able to get in same day for eyebrow waxing appointments (which are quick and relatively painless!) I have been here a few times with many different stylists. On several occasions I am quoted a price and it ends up being almost twice as much when I go to check out. Recently I went in for a cut and partial highlights, nothing fancy. The stylist added in another color without telling me that it would add $20 to my bill. When confronted about the situation the clerk wouldn't budge. She just apologized and said she would have someone address it. This was the final straw, I will not be returning. Read Less

She really listened to what I wanted, answered all questions that I had, and explained everything she was doing. Krista is awesome. I've been going to Krista nearly three years. I moved from Indy to Texas three years ago. I was nervous and had no idea where to go to get my hair done. I knew no one, except my husband, in Texas. Salon la page is the only place I've gone. I never tried anywhere else because its great. I've only had great experiences. Krista talks with me in detail what style I want. While styling my hair she explains products, without expecting you to buy them, and shows... me how to style my hair. She always says if I have a problem with anything to call. Plus for you natural red heads out there like me. I started going to Tina back in December, it had been 5 years since I let someone touch my hair because someone chopped it off the last time they did. I went in there uncertain of what exactly I wanted, just some ideas. She worked with me, and was real about what to expect. Since I have long curly hair it's definitely a task.
