It was my intention to set up a surprise for a friend who is a teacher and she very much needed a spa day. The place is immaculate, in a great area of downtown Dallas. It is staffed with some of the best professionals in the business. Their attention to detail was excellent, and the services are priced very affordably. I must say WOW.  This spot is hidden uptown but the customer service you receive is awesome, This Spa was recommended to me by a friend who said I know you love great service and this place will exceed your expectations.  I came in and was promptly greeted and escorted to a station when the greatest I mean the greatest, Victoria worked my legs and feet and even broke a sweat I was like "dear are you ok, am  I that bad?"  She responded no I am under the light and I am going to put a full effort in your legs...I was like wow.  She put the capital a in awesome.  If one like great service and a way above average mani pedi go to ULUX, I see they have massages and other services I might try this next but as of now they have a new customer. Wanted to try this place because some girls I know go here. It was very clean and the nail polish was well organized. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of the way to make me feel comfortable my first time. I got the $90 pedicure. I enjoyed my experience here!Establishment was very clean. Very Very clean. I always get my natural nails done and my polish on my hands and toes look nothing short of perfection. I was offered a drink and didn't need to do anything but doze off to sleep, people watch and enjoy the massage chair. The windows inside give a great view of the scenery outside. If you want to feel like a princess, come here. First thing you'll notice is the elegant and clean interior. They have a lot of stations for each service and they have a wide selection of services. I wanted to get gel nail but it was a little too pricey. On their menu booklet, it was priced at $40. It does include massages but I didn't find it worth it. I decided to get a regular manicure. Which was $18 I believe? They have a whole room full of nail polish. It was so hard to choose a color but I settled on one. I forgot the name of the lady who did my nails. She was so sweet. They do serve wine if you want any or just water. My nail lady noticed I kept trying to get my boyfriend's attention to come talk to me and so she paused and told me to go get him. She let him sit next to me as she finished up. The best part?I didn't even get gel nail and my manicure lasted more than 3 weeks. No chips no peels. I was very impressed. O M G this place is the the absolute best. was traveling through for only the day & stopped in for a pedicure. was greeted by the nicest humans! was pleasantly surprised by the pedicure options. the lavender pedicure was hands down the best pedicure i've ever had. also, had a glass of the tastiest white wine! My favorite nail place in Dallas and I have been to a lot. Their pedicures are full luxury-this is one of the few places where it is worth it to get the more expensive options cause they do not disappoint. I'm a total dip nail fanatic but I often have the problem where after a few days the sides of the nail like flake off. This infuriated me because I feel like it ruins the whole look. I don't know what kind of dip nail voodoo magic that Ulux performs but I have never run into this problem when they do my nails. I love coming here! They are all so friendly and do such great quality work. I am always able to schedule easily, and if I ever have an issue Tyler is right there to correct it. I get my nails done every three weeks with Jay and they always turn out perfect. A glass of wine while I am there doesn't hurt with the relaxation part. There's a reason they have 5 stars! I ended up working somewhat late for the day before Thanksgiving and was trying to find a place to get my nails done. It wasn't too long before closing time and they were very sweet. Customer service at this place is A+++.  I emailed them on yelp to request an appointment for my friend and myself.  They responded right away and we're able to get us in at my requested time.On my drive over they actually called to tell me that they were running late.  That's amazing.I arrived and found parking right on the street.  The place is really cute and cozy.  Not big at all, but they make great use of their space.They have soooo many colors to choose from.  A wall of colors and the little stick thingies with colors on them.  I chose a dip color and the tech said he'd find the matching toe color for me and I joined my friend who was already seated.  They offered me a drink (white wine) and off we went.I wasn't expecting them to do my fingernails and pedicure at the same time, and if I were to go again I would ask to have them done separate, if that's an option.The service was great and my toes and fingers looked (still do over two weeks later) great.  They even put my shoes in a black shopping bag so I wouldn't forget them (I've done that before). Ulux is so much more than just a nail salon. They are an all-inclusive get away, made up of employees who treat you more like family then customers. Tyler is the owner. He seriously greeted us as the door, walked us over to explain the nail polish set up (which btw, is THE BEST and most organized selection you will ever lay your eyes on) and then made sure we were comfortable in our chairs with drinks in hand. You can't beat the service, and the quality of the services offered were honestly the best I have ever had in the area! Hana not only gave me a beautiful and PeRFEcT gel manicure, but I also got a pretty amazing massage post mani! She was wonderful.
