Very friendly and clean. I have had my nails done there around 6 times and only once did I have a bad experience (the tech is no longer there and they rectified the issue). Great place though very expensive for a child’s mani/pedi. I took my 4 y/o daughter with me and I think charging an adult price for a 4 y/o isn’t really fair. I won’t take her back with me there till she’s older because of the price but I will go back for myself. Read Less

i don't usually do ratings but i am so disappointed in the outcome of my nails. I came with a fresh set not even 2 weeks old and i wanted to change the color but in stead i had to get a new set so they took off my nails and have me a new set but the work on it was horrible my nails are different lengths on the opposite hand and the polishing job was horrible looks like something i could do my self i kept correcting my technician on what was wrong and she do everything but fix it, i' didn't leave a tip considering i wasted a fresh set and paid an additional $40 and i will make sure to not come back EVER!! It was my first time to visit Venus and was disappointed! I have had Shellac done for years, First time it has faded. I read good reviews so decided to take my friend from in town and one from Switzerland and we loved it. Great experience all around and very efficient. We walked in the last hour and chose to get shellac matte manicure and pedicure. 2 people worked on us at the same time and they did a very good job very efficiently. Good quality, fun conversations and free booze! Cricket did a good job and I️ forget the name of the girl you that did my manicure. Very nice,clean nail spa that aims to please. Excellent mani and pedi today. Exactly what I needed, but kept putting off. So glad to have had the Friday the 13th treat of simple pedi and mani and massage. A God send at the hands of very professional staff. Called ahead and set appointment within thirty minutes. No delay, just excellent service. I'm writing this review from what I experienced about 20 minutes ago. To begin with, I was never offered anything to drink and didn't receive any fruit like usual. Secondly, the nail tech dropped my phone on the ground, almost did it two times. She also cut my finger, it was bleeding. Then she got upset when I said I had to reply to a text and actually smacked her lips. Two ladies decided to hover over me speaking Vietnamese, like literally leaning over me. This post is from my wife Brooke Lyon. Went in today to get manicure. Was told 30 min wait. An hour later she is still waiting. Not offered any refreshments of any kind. When the stylist finally comes to do the manicure, she's told she will have to pick a different color because they are out of the color she picked. Had an hour to relay that info and waited til she was about to begin to decide to tell her. After cutting her finger, proceeds to blame the cut on her skin being dry. Doesn't bother to apply any disinfectant to the cut. Applies the clear coat, then leaves her waiting while she goes to massage another customers neck. Another Manicurist applies the fist coat of paint then leaves again. Have to wait for the original stylist to come back to finish the manicure. When my wife makes a comment to the manager at checkout, you'd think an apology would be given, instead she states with as much attitude as she can muster, well you can see that I'm running around the spa busy. I can't help it that I'm short staffed. She then had the nerve to act indignant when my wife chose not to tip. Wife's been going there since they opened. Thanks to the manager, this was probably the last time she will patron venus nail spa. Called the owner to discuss the experience and was again told she can't help it if they are busy and that she is not the owner and that If she had a problem with the experience she should call the owner on tue because it wasn't the manager's problem. Took my ten year old here with a few friends for her birthday. Everyone was really sweet. They took us into a private room, brought out cookies and juice, and brought cupcakes and we sang happy birthday. They all had basic pedicures, $20 each. Don't come here if you want an ombre. I came here with my sister in law and the nail technicians had no idea what they were doing. They first only put glitter at the tip of the nail after the base color. Just that alone is $5.00 per nail because they consider it a "design." I have been to a lot of nail salons and 99.9% of them don't charge for a coat of glitter at the edge of the nail. It takes no skill or design and it takes less nail polish considering you are only putting glitter at the tip and not the whole finger. Anyways, my sister in law asked for an ombre and the lady only put glitter at the tips. We had to tell her to put more glitter and try to fade out. She did a horrible job because the density of the glitters on all her nails were not consistent. My biggest issue is that if you don't know how to do it, just say so. Don't waste our time, your time, or our money. Nail technician did a horrible job and she tried to charge us for the "design" she messed up. They always make sure you're taken care of whether it's a bite to eat (fruit plates) or something to drink like water or soda. Each time I come, I'm never disappointed.Today, Ken gave me a French Manicure called a 'pink and white' which is tips glued on and pink powder on the nail bed with white powder on the tip. It's so elegant looking. Ken is a pro! He's amazing.  Also, Tracy gave me a 'Heavenly' pedicure and it truly lived up to its name. I was completely relaxed while she took care of my feet and legs. Well I had been nothing but happy with their service but today I was fully disappointed... I was a customer since their opening and wow they were consistent! But today I walked in and the usual front desk greeter was different and I asked for what I usually get ( powder gel)... my nails usually get soaked in warm water and cuticles trimmed etc. This girl literally started applying the powder without doing any of that. I asked her and replied "it doesn't matter if I do it before or after. Wtf? She keeps telling me that if I still want the trimming i have to pay certain amount extra... So I wanted to wait to give my review after I got my nails done with them a few more times but today, I think they deserve my review. I've gotten my nails done 2x there now and went in for a fix on one nail today. I always go kid-free when getting my nails done but I knew if I didn't go get my nail fixed today then I'd pick at all the rest (bad habit). So after picking up my twins from school, I headed there with baby in tow also. So let's cut to the chase. They were fixing ...my nail and had just finished when the guy at the front desk tells me my son just peed his pants and the floor. I was mortified. My son is almost 5 and doesn't do this but I had asked him to wait one more min, but I guess he couldn't. I came here bc a friend recommended it and I was looking for a new go-to despite this place being a trek. I had made an appointment as it seems like the way to go to assure prompt service because it can get busy. I got a pedicure and the powder dip manicure. I love how they provide you complimentary fruit and drinks. The pedicure was pretty standard, no complaints! And this was my first time getting the powder dip. The girl doing my nails was very patient with me choosing my color and when I had changed my mind, we easily switched. I love powder dip and will forever get it on my nails now. I liked how thin she made the acrylic so it still felt like my real nails (just harder).My biggest downside is the price. I was really surprised on the cost of the powder dip of $50. Two weeks later, I went to a different place and got just as great results for a lower price. So unfortunately, the distance plus cost is a no-go for me. Still a great salon, just overpriced. I went here with my best friend after hearing rave reviews about the place. Overall the ambiance was nice and the place was clean. And they offered fresh fruit and a cold beverage. There was however cell phone use even though sign said none.  I had a great pedicure that still looks great after almost 3 weeks. My nails on the other hand were one of the worst refills I had ever had.  The buffing left bumps and the top coat actually turned brown after a few days, so much so it looked like I had foundation on my nails. So, if you want to go for pedicure, I would recommend. But I wouldn't be able to recommend for nails. Read Less

We hardly waited for our services. During the very few minutes we spent waiting, the receptionist offered us complimentary drinks. If I remember correctly she said, 'Would you like some wine? Mimosa? Margarita? Shot of Patron?' LOL.I've never gotten lit at a nail salon but if you know me personally then you know I am down AF!I ordered a margarita. I think K ordered a margarita too.I chugged my margarita down because the person doing my facial was waiting on me.Mary assisted me throughout my facial, I had the 60 Minute Facial ($60) and also an eyebrow wax ($8).K was receiving a pedicure ($50).Mary was awesome though facials generally hurt during the extraction process. She was gentle. Mary made my eyebrows look damn good! After having an awful experience getting my eyebrows waxed at 5 Star Nails on Barker Cypress, she fixed them up as best as possible and I was pleased with the result. While all these services were being performed, another margarita was brought my way. Didn't even have to ask, they just read my mind. I came here because Cindy who does awesome work moved here from another spa. I was expecting just your average nail place BUT, I was very surprised when I walked in. It's so beautiful! Very open.. You can have a private party up to 6 and they provide Cupcakes, Cookies and Flowers. They have little sections they hold 2 -4 people.
