The gal who did my nails was NOT friendly at all- she didn't introduce herself so I have no idea what her name was... God blonde highlights with reddish brown coloring which lasted 2 weeks. I paid a $170 plus $20 tip. Their solution was to come every 3 weeks for a "lift" for $50 each time. For the price that I paid, I expected a quality product to be used on my hair. I will never go back. Read Less

I had a full body massage, facial and pedicure today. Everything was really great except for the pedicure. The lady was nice but didn't spend to much time on my feet at all! She didn't use the scrub very long or even focus on certain areas that needed more attention. If I'm going to pay $50 for a pedicure I would expect better service. Renee at Anthony's salvaged my short hair. She added texture , shape and just did an amazing job on something I thought could not get fixed. Hanna Fisher cuts and colors my hair, and keeps it healthy. I always feel lovely when I leave. I love the scalp massage during the hair wash, relaxing and enjoying the complimentary Aveda tea or other flavored teas. This was by far the worst hair experience I have EVER had! I went in for a haircut and asked the stylist to keep my hair long, mid chest length, with long layers. The girl cut my hair much much shorter than I asked for and when I let the stylist know that this isn't what I asked for she got upset and asked if I'd like someone else to cut my hair and proceeded to say that she thought that would be best and walked off. The manager came to talk to me and seemed apologetic and ha...d another stylist finish my haircut. The girl who fixed and finished my hair did a great job but I ended up with nothing that I asked for. The entire experience leading up to that was a complete nightmare. When I left the same "manager" checked me out and didn't even bother to ask if everything went ok or anything. Instead she let me know that it would be $65 and sent me on my way. My son purchased "Day in heaven" for my daughter and me. This was the whole enchilada, French massage, facial, pedicure, mani, shampoo, haircut and makeup. I had never been there before, didn't know what to expect. First was the massage, the girl that did it was very good, however when I pulled the covers off the massage table there were hairs on the sheet. Then she went and got me a robe to put on afterwards, it was like 3 sizes smaller than me. After the massage I was taken to the quiet room to wait for facial. I waited almost 30 min. before they came and got me for the facial. The facial was great. Next was the pedi and mani, they were Ok, but the lady kept having problems with the shellac shriveling under the light. Overall it was okay, but I wouldn't go back. Read Less

I hate giving bad reviews..  especially to an Aveda salon.. but when my husband comes home and asks me "why in the world would I cut my long blonde hair off and dye it pinkish brown " ..  I knew I had to warn others.  This was the worst hair experience that I have ever had.. plus paid 300$ to have this done to myself..  I showed the stylist several pictures of a beautiful balayage and she still couldn't even come close to the pictures .  So sad..  HASTA LA VISTA Aveda! Pretty peaceful atmosphere compared to other nail  spas. Weekends can be busy but never too loud or obnoxious, like other places I have experienced. I've realized the nail shops at the mall charge the same and they don't treat you as kind as the employees here at Anthony's. They offer complimentary wine, beer, Diet Coke and crystal light teas along with coffee and aveda tea. I like that you actually see the technicians disinfecting the pedicure tubs and the tools are kept clean and sanitized as well- I've never had a fungus from coming here and that's a big deal after seeing my friends have some issues at other spas. Alexis did my nails today and she did such a great job! I also had a massage with Mary who totally worked on my tight shoulders, she is very knowledgeable and can really loosen up the tense muscles. She is honest about the soreness that will follow but the relief and mobility i felt was almost immediate. I have also had my hair done with just about all the stylists here and they are all honest and up front about how long it takes to reach goals as far as highlighting and going lighter... it definitely takes multiple sessions to maintain the integrity of the hair. This salon has great, wonderful employees. Every time I call I always get the friendliest receptionist. I've been here over 20 times only had one bad experience. I got a keratin treatment done and it was worth every penny. They have great stylists, I've gotten a deep tissue massage here before. It was OK! I've had better. I always come in and ask for the lady that does my eye brows. Sorry! I can't remember her name. They offer complimentary water, coffee and iced tea. They have a very comfortable sitting/chill area. I left Anthony's overpriced, under professional salon years ago and I should have stayed away.  I decided to try it again and went in for a cut and color. After cutting a half an inch,  putting an all over brown on the top and glossing my ends for a couple of minutes, I left very unhappy with my sloppy looking hair and 300 dollars poorer.  I guess she thought I couldn't afford the blond highlights I asked for and have always had after her 300 dollar job. Honestly I had a really hard time finding a place in town that I could trust the stylist to do my hair, understand what I wanted and deliver it without me having to mircomanage what was being done. I was in excellent hands comfortable and trusted her judgement because she knew her craft, made me feel at easy, and was warm friendly without being pushy. I have been back several times and the service is always first rate from the initial setting of the appointment or as a walk-in. I went there for the first time ever for a wax. The first woman wasn't rude, but she seemed like she would rather be elsewhere; she wasn't very welcoming and seemed aloof with me. She was very experienced, but the end result didn't meet my expectations. The second woman who worked on me was more welcoming. However, she didn't seem to have as much experience as the first woman. She really made the experience feel like a rush job, and there were streaks of hair leftover. I guess she didn't pace herself well, because near the end of my appointment, she really rushed through the job. I had to go home and remove the remainder of the hairs with my epilator, although I felt I shouldn't have needed to do so. The salon itself is very clean and beautiful - like I would expect a salon to be. Some of the other employees passing by the waiting area were friendly. But, I wouldn't want to return for another wax, which is really disappointing since I paid so much for the waxes. Read Less

She is very kind and helped calm my nerves as she explained exactly how she was going to fix it and answered all my questions. Great massages, newly remodeled.I come here for the massages and they are always amazing. The staff is very professional and very friendly. The interior is newly remodeled and soon as you walk in you feel like your ready to relax. Very classy, and cozy interiors and dark wood line the inside. They offer beverages while you wait, and peppermints on the way out! If you have never gotten a massage before, you basically call, find a time, make an appointment. You show up and they give you a paper to fill out which goes over basic things, health concerns, allergies, are you pregnant, etc.... Then you get called in and she asks what areas to cover and what you like don't like. Then undress, lay down, and she knocks on the door and says boom "Are you ready?" and then you enjoy a heaven like atmosphere for an hour. I've got over 10 massages here and they have all been AMAZING. This last time 1/4/2014 was probably the most uncomfortable experience I've had here. I was taken to a different room/ side of the building this time and it was very cold on the inside. The massage table creaked like an old wood floor, so every time I got comfortable and relaxed she would start massaging and it would creak with the slightest of pressure. The feeling of anxiety like your about to break the massage bed and fall to the floor kept me on my toes and uncomfortable the entire time. The lotion was also freezing cold this time and gave me goosebumps, and in this hallway you can still hear people from the salon chatting away and discussing their dinner plans. I've never had a bad massage here, but this time was not as great as before. Other than that I will return and hopefully voice my concerns if the lotion comes out cold again! Went here for color and cut. Stylist FORGOT to add an ingredient to my color and it came out about 5 shades darker/brighter than I asked (I asked for strawberry blonde/light brown and it came out fire engine dark red). She decided to strip my hair without asking. It came out splotchy and uneven. She even colored my eyebrows without asking. It took over 3 hours. At the end she told me the color would wash out and she would give me free highlights. Needless to say, I did not want her to touch my hair again. I was left with severely damaged hair and a color i did not want -- Ii was embarrassing and took a lot of time and money to fix. The WORST part (how could it get worse, you ask?) was that I tried to contact Anthony's about this and they completely ignored me. Do NOT go here. Read Less

I've been to Anthony's many times. Nails, massages, facials (Marie is awwwwesome), and I've taken advantage of holiday packages and such, but I'd never had my hair full blown done. A trim here and there, but no cuts or color. At my wit's end with too much curly frizz, I called and asked for someone who knows curly hair. If you are a curly too, you know how nerve wracking this can be. Tiffany was everything I hoped for. We colored my hair, she had great suggestions, she explained things as she went, and she detailed how she was styling it so I could easily duplicate at home. Everyone there is super friendly and the salon has a great funky atmosphere. For waxing see Ursula she is awesome when it comes to brows and all other hair removal. It is a fabulous place! I went in for a hair appointment and I have a shorter cut so I was pretty nervous at first. They were so friendly and I let them know exactly what I wanted and I looved how great it looked after! I have been going there ever since! I would definitely recommend Anthony, he is great with listening to exactly what you want. And I love that I can go get a trim, then go get a manicure, they really do have good prices!
