Both my mother and I have been going to Spa Pro Nails for the past three months; it's one of the best salons in Cedar Park. Unfortunately today was our last visit. I had gotten a gel manicure last week, however I needed to have some of my nails repainted due to the age of the polish. When I arrived not only did the owner, Yen (who I recommended on numerous occasions) seem pissed, but on the second visit she redirected me to another manicurist, (I forget the name but she has... bangs) who provided the worst customer service imaginable! My mother had complained once before that she went too fast, causing her cuticles to bleed. Her nails were also poorly done, and when I addressed the manager she informed me that she knew about it, leaving me with the impression that the issue would be solved. Today I was informed by Yen that the same employee would be working on my nails.Although there were several other manicurists available during the time, that same woman insisted that I work with her. I figured this time around she'd be more precise but I was in for a rude awakening. Not only did this woman speed through the process, both she and her colleague yelled at me for asking her to slow down and when I attempted to remind them that the polish she had chosen to touch up my nails was the wrong color. She was so bad that the other customers looked our way in shock, informing me that I had no need to doubt that she was being rude. Yen later told me that I didn't have to pay, but when I tried to tell her that her employee was rude and should work at a slower pace, she told me that "that was how she [was]," as if she were trying to excuse her behavior. I absolutely LOVED going to Spa Pro Nails prior to this point. Not only is it close to home, it was a great way for my mother and I to bond, as we both loved the staff, however after this incident we are sorry to say that we will not be returning. Also when I informed Yen of our decision, rather then choosing to investigate as we were great customers, she pretty much stated that she didn't care. I will say that I hope that this incident was not racially based. The majority of the clients who return to Spa Pro Nails are European Americans, and yes there are minorities who hate and discriminate against other minorities. With the way things turned out today, it'd almost be foolish not to take this thought into consideration. Be that as it may we have fortunately found the salon in Lakeline Mall to be pleasant and professional in case anyone faces the same treatment. Take care. See More Read Less
