I went to Austin Nails & Spa after a long day of shopping with plans to relax and treat myself. When I walked into the salon, all the nail techs were with other customers and one of the techs informed me it would be a 20 minute wait. I said no problem, sat down, and picked up a magazine. I was the only person waiting, so I figured it shouldn't take long.After 20 minutes, one of the tech's finished with a client, and cashed her out. I waited for the tech to call me to the chair, but she never did. I assumed maybe she was just finished her shift and was headed out for the evening. The tech purposefully averted my glaze, and refused to acknowledge me. About 10 minutes after that, two women walked into the salon. The nail techs asked her what they needed done, and she told them she needed a full set (the same thing I requested). The lady who I thought was off, immediately sat those two women at her booth, and proceeded to do their nails. These women did not have appointments (they asked the techs if they would be able to take them both before closing when they arrived) and literally had the exact same request as me. I was very shocked and couldn't believe it. The nail techs literally acted like I didn't exist. Instead of giving the salon employees a piece of my mind, I quietly stood up, placed the nail polish back on the stand, and left without saying a word. I've never been so offended. I was taught to never spend my money in a place I am being disrespected. Instead I went down the street to Pink Cherry Nails where Janet was absolutely pleasant. I have no idea why they acted this way. I would hope it wasn't a race thing, but honestly I have no idea why they would just skip over me like that. I will NEVER try coming here again. Great little salon for pedicures. I've been going here for several years and have always had great service without waiting or even making an appointment. About 6 months ago, a young man named Johnny did my pedi and it was absolute heaven! Now I always ask for him and get the 45 minute Deluxe pedicure. This guy is MAGIC! If you want an awesome eye brow wax and lip wax ask for Helen! I popped in here as a walk in for the first time, in desperate need of both wax and a mani. I was immediately was greeted by Johnny and Helen did my waxing. Johnny did my mani which he did a beautiful job by cutting away the dead skin, cuticles and my color is wonderful! Highly recommend and I will be back! The only thing I didn't like is prices are not posted anywhere. So the mani was 15$, eye brow wax is 10$ and lip wax was 7$ well worth it! Dropped in here on a whim with an ingrown big toenail and the need for some toe beauty.Called ahead and they said to come on in and that they could take me immediately.Upon arriving, I picked my polish and was directed to a massaging pedicure  chair. As I seated myself, I happened to glance behind/between the chairs and saw a bunch of spider webs with dead bugs in them. Of course the entire time I was getting the pedicure I was thinking about spiders crawling up the back of my chair.I will say that between two of the ladies, they were able to fix my ingrown toenail - yay! I have been coming here almost every two weeks for about four months to get my acrylics filled/fixed up and either a regular polish or sometimes gel. Everyone that works here is very friendly and they are always polite and efficient and do a fabulous job! I've only had a pedicure here once but I loved it and they give you a complimentary adult beverage which is a nice bonus ;) I normally don't like when men work on my nails because In the past I've noticed they don't pay attention to detail, but the two men who work there have both done an amazing job on my nails multiple times and changed my opinion! Even if I'm on the other side of town I make the drive to come here because I have been satisfied every single time! They accept walk ins but I usually call ahead to make sure they have space for me because they can get very busy sometimes!Also: they have a TON of beautiful gel colors to choose from and metallics and magnet colors!! love this place when it comes to nails. the owners and one other lady is great with stiletto nails. The young man in the shop can't do nails to save his life. As far as the pedicure goes they love to talk to you instead of allowing you to relax. I've been here a few times before for manicures and had a good experience so I decided to get a pedicure. The girl did a terrible job. The paint job is awful and she didn't do the callus remover, which I specifically said I didn't care about the paint, I cared about the callus remover. My manicure color that I said I wanted wasn't used, I said it looked light and he responded with it would be darker with the second coat. It was not, I'm really unhappy with my manicure and pedicure and it was $74! I will never be going back here. Read Less

I've been coming to this nail salon for 6years and each time was better than the next. Within in the past few month they have beefed up their nail techs and apparently their pricing. Polish change has normally been 8.00 toes and 6 for nails it's now 8.00 nails and 10.00 for toes. They tried to tell me it's always been this way. I will look for someone else from here on out. I love this place! I've gone here many time for pedicures, acrylics and gel polish manicures. The employees take their time to perfect their work and its always something I keep an eye on. They're pretty good here! My friend, myself, and my husband went (no judgment) to get mani/pedi's before her wedding, and we weren't disappointed. We got the royal pedi, which includes 2 diff scrubs, moisturizing stuff, and a paraffin treatment. I happened to shave my legs that morning so the scrub kinda felt like lava rocks, but the moisturizing cream fixed that right up. The paraffin is a little like lava-temp wise, but cools down fairly quickly. I have to say I felt like the lady kinda cut corners on my mani-she didn't even really push the cuticles back, just went through the motions. They do offer booze though (complimentary!!) so that fixed that right up too;) my nails looks fab with the shellac she put on! Read Less

Clean and simple environment. Wide selection of polish and shellac to choose from. I went in after lunch and was able to start my manicure right away. I enjoy the quiet, not a chatty person and my nail tech respected that. I am only disappointed in the shaping of my nails. I just had perfect ovals left over from a previous manicure and they were still in good shape. He asked if I wanted a cut down and I said no. Then he filed them. I was assuming he was just doing a quick sweep to ready the nail for the gel but he squared them off unevenly. Good massage, happy with gel application, just not the shape. Been here every other week for about 2 months now. They do an awesome Shellac manicure! Only once did it chip sooner than the supposed 2 week lifespan, and it wasn't even that bad. The place is clean, and the tools are all sterilized. Highly recommended! Read Less

Overall I did enjoy my experience. I am curious how a $35 manicure & $45 pedicure add up to $85, before tip. I got no decoration on my nails so ...... They took 3 hrs to do both services because they told me my wait time, I used the ladies room & they took 6 middle school girls ahead of me. "Only a polish change, real quick". Lol nothing with that many middle school girls is quick. Numerous color changes later & then decisions to add pedicures...So not the best service ever. There are much better place to get your nails done. Pro they offer free cheap booze, Cons only a very few do gel nails. The last 2 times I got a rushed pedicure and sat for an hour waiting for someone to take the foil/acetone off my nails and to do my gel manicure. I know what you're thinking maybe they were busy... By far one if the best solar nail application and best pedicure I have ever had!!! My hands and feet are flawless!!! Couldn't recommend a better place! I went here with a Groupon so I called and scheduled in advance.  When I got there, they greeted me promptly and got me seated in about 5 minutes.  I know people talked about the champagne and chocolates, but I guess that doesn't come with the Groupon.  I don't blame them and I can't drink anyways.  I was surprised that they never turned on the massage chair.  I probably should have asked but was a bit afraid of rejection and I didn't see anyone else's chair moving.  My mani/pedi were very basic.  They didn't try to get me to buy anything extra, which I appreciate.  I know they advertise that they have a ton of colors, but I didn't think they had a great selection.... not bad, just not great.  I also got my eyebrows waxed while I was there.  The girl was very nice and they looked pretty good, but I was surprised that she didn't pluck anything to shape them better.  They still looked pretty good in the end.At checkout, I tried paying with Amex, which the girl quickly told me that they don't take.  I always wonder how true that is.  Do they really not accept it, or do they not want to because Amex charges a slightly higher rate than some of the other cards? Ask for the total up front!My friend and I went here after shopping for a dress for her to wear to a wedding.. This place advertises all over craigslist that the mani/pedi combo is $35 so that was what I was expecting. The lady even asked me if I wanted the deluxe and I declined. Just the basics, which is what I received. It was 7pm when we walked in and there were three ladies that were getting mani/pedis also, so they fired up the foot spa and had us wait. The other ladies all had champagne, something we were not offered. When they left the workers swarmed us and got busy. They yelled to the guy working the cah register it was $35 each for those 3.After we were done and went to check out we were told $40 each. I asked why. She stammered that she did something different to my cuticles and it was $5 extra. BULL! I had a basic mani/pedi that any nail place is capable of giving. I paid it and let them know I would never be back. They didn't seem to care.There are way too many nail places out there that do the same job for $35. Don't bother with this one. Read Less

This place is AWFUL! If I could I wouldn't even give it one star. I went to get my nails done and was told it would be $25 which I was OK with. Then madness ensued. First I had to wait for 45 minutes and when she finally came over she was very rude and seemed angry to be there. I was getting gel nails with a french tip done and she didn't put an original coat down, made the lines too thick, and didn't even cover my whole nail!! I, of course, complained about this and was given a $10 discount and was told I could come back the next day to get it fixed. When I went to pay I was told the cost was $25 and for the first time was made aware that the french tips were more expensive. I paid and left. The next day I went back and had to fight to not have to pay again and when she went to remove the gel she was clipping them off instead of soaking them like you are supposed to and ended up cutting me and making me bleed. At this point I flipped and demanded my money back and was called very rude names in multiple languages. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! Unless you don't care about how your nails look. Read Less
