Cons - My polish started chipping within 24 hours, the nail tech cut my nails so short during my pedicure she cut me, mani/pedi took over 2 hours and not in a good way. Pros - The prices are good. The shop is very clean. I would go back and be serviced by a different nail tech in this shop now that I know who not to use!! The nail tech was an elderly lady, she was kind and got me water right away when I arrived as soon as the shop opened. Two other people were being serviced and she was the only available technician. She cut my primary toenail so short I am really upset about it. My toe is still hurting and this was over 24 hours ago. I didn't even want to write a review but I wanted to tell people don't let the old lady do your service. She is very kind but the other nail techs moved a lot faster and did a better job. Ethan did my sister's nails and she was VERY VERY happy with him but that was not my experience. Plus, one of the primary nail techs was discussing my nail color with a customer in a negative way. I showed up 2 hours before they close, lady had to warn me it was an hour wait, like she was trying to get me to leave. I said I’d wait. They put me in a chair and soaked my feet for an hour while passing by and ignoring me and offering other ladies wine, never offered me wine. Zero tip for these ladies. I went to this nail salon for the first time today to get my acrylic nails filled, shortened and repainted. It was a Saturday morning and while they were very busy, they made a point to greet each customer that walked in the door. They were getting people in and out very quickly while still providing excellent service and quality of work. The staff was very friendly and i love that they told me the price before doing anything to make sure that it was OK. The picture on the left is the one i showed them for how i wanted my nails painted. The picture on the right is my nails when they were finished. They were able to match it pretty closely. I went to this place looking for a new spot closer to work and I was not happy with the results. I went in for dip on the natural nail and the process itself was great and so was the color but the lady topped my nail with clear gel polish which eventually chipped within three days after the appointment. I'm one to get my nails done once a month so imagine having your beautiful nails chip as the days go bad. It was horrible. I would recommend to visit but to be vocal about the top/finishing coat. I had been going to the salon for over a year and a half now, with Nee doing my nails. Although Nee does an excellent job on nails, esthetically, THEY DO NOT LAST. Numerous times I've had to go back within 7 to 10 days for nails lifting. NUMEROUS TIMES. But I continued going there, because I love the way my nails look, and I enjoy Nee. Despite the inconvenience of constantly having to go back for repairs. I got my nails done 15 days ago; brand new set. Within five days... three of my nails had lifted pretty badly. So I had to go back FIVE days after getting a new set to have three out of ten repaired. None were broken, but lifting terribly. Over the course of the next five days, three more lifted. I already felt bad (Even though them lifting is completely out of my control. Again, they weren't broken.) so I called to schedule a fill... (I should not need a fill two weeks after getting a brand new set.). We set a time for an appointment, and within five minutes I get this text message asking me to find a new salon to get my nails done at. That she does not have time to do my repairs. Over them lifting... which is out of my control and 100% how she does my nails. HOW RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. I will never recommend this salon to anyone, ever again. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Paid $35 dollars for my pedicure. The lady cut me twice trying to cut away my cuticles, and then tried a third time at the same spot and had to stop her before she cut me even worse. She took over an hour to finish, and to top it off she painted my nails like a 3 year old. She left polish all over my skin, didn’t coat the whole nail and most of my nails, and put the top coat on only half of the nail. Don’t waste your money. Read Less

I cheated on my nail salon...and it was totally worth it! I decided to try this place out because I was in the area. While the reviews are all over the place, they all had one thing in common: Ni! Everyone seemed to love her so I quickly called in to make an appointment for a couple of hours out. I was scheduled right away. When I entered I was quickly greeted and I waited for a few minutes while she finished up with her client. I must say, I was very impressed with Ni; I normally get gel because it's the quickest and least expensive, but somehow she talked me into the dip powder. I'm so glad she did because I loved my nails! SHE GOT MY SHAPE RIGHT! This rarely happens so I was very thrilled. So I got my nails done with the dip powder and one week later, one of my nails broke.   I went to get it repaired and the folks there were baffled regarding the color that I had received earlier.   They asked me three times if I wanted a different color on the broken nail and I told them NO.   They then gave me the color swatches to figure out the color which was a nude color.  I presented several colors that I felt were close and the guy brought back a color that he said was a match and I said ok.   Well, my nail and hand looked like a clown. It was awful and the guy just shrugged.   I let them know that I was very unhappy and they said nothing.   Soooooo, I say to you, if you want this kind of treatment and customer service, this is the place for you; otherwise, stay away.I immediately went back to my old nail salon, U Need Nails and Tan to get an entirely new color that matched and that was extra money that I shouldn't have had to spend.   You live and you learn. They told me a 30 min wait. I was cool with that, then an hour approaches and they still had fail to service me and my daughter for our pedicure! I have nothing but positive things to say about this salon. It's clean and the techs really do a thorough good.. my pedicure was one of the best I've ever had I choose the green tea it was super relaxing and she didn't rush at all. I felt so pampered afterward and I got the French tips on my toes and it was absolutely perfect.. afterwards I got my nails filled I had been going to my lady years and I was worried about trying somewhere new but she was out of town for a month so I had to find somewhere else and I was not disappointed at all she reshapes my nails better than I've ever had and I got a freehand nail art design that was so cute and girly I loved the whole experience and will be going back biweekly!!!! This place is great! The technicians are so friendly. I've been coming to this place since October. I rather drive 15 miles and get good service than try any other nails salons. I tried to give a try to a fancy nail salon 3 miles from me and it was a disaster. They took their time and did the best job on my grandmothers pedicure and my sister and I both agreed that this was the best fills we have ever got. If Shrek and Fiona wanted pedicures, I would highly recommend this place. For my mom and me it was a total disaster. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the salon is clean.  All indicators of what should have been a good mani/pedi experience were there. We scheduled an appointment for 5PM. We were a little late and expected a slight wait as Top Nails also offers walk-in appointments. Seated at the pedicure stations, my mom and I soaked in luke warm water for about 45 minutes until 2 staff members were finally able to help us.My nail specialist filed the soles of my feet to the point of scrapes and bleeding; removed my Gel manicure by soaking my hands in acetone polish remover for 30 minutes and then filing the polish off. My mom fared slightly better until her finger was cut during her manicure.  This all took well over 2 hours and my mom was so hungry that we had to leave before I could get my nails polished. I walked out with scrapes on my finger and foot from the abrasive file and residue of Gel polish still on my nails not to mention the $68 and 2 hours that I will never get back.Top Nails has great reviews on Yelp. Business at the finger nail stations was booming so I believe they are more popular for their acrylic nail services than for the pedicure experience. This was my second and last time here. The first time, the wait was so long that my daughter had to leave before they did anything other than soak her feet and still charged us $10.There are too many other quality nail salons to even attempt a third try here. I think I finally found my new nail spa in Cedar Hill and let me tell you.....finding a good nail spa in Cedar Hill has not been an easy task at all.  I made an appointment one day in advance for me and my sweetie both to receive a pedicure and a manicure, eyebrow wax and tint for myself.  When we arrived, the staff was waiting and addressed us by name.  This was extremely refreshing, considering my past experiences where I've booked a reservation and ended up having to wait which completely defeated the purpose of booking a reservation in the first place.When we arrived I immediately noticed the beautiful decor and cleanliness of the establishment.  All of the pedicure beds were lined with disposable liners to prevent the spread of bacteria, fungus and infectious disease.  I explained to the nail tech during my pedicure that in the past when I've received manicures with acrylic nails they've never lasted more than a few days.  She pointed out that I might have oily nail beds and suggested that I stay away from the acrylic and get a gel manicure.In the end, I loved my manicure/pedicure w/ floral design and the results of my eyebrow wax and tint.  PROS: Friendly staff, clean sterile tools and pedicure tubs, complimentary wine, great eyebrow waxing & tinting services, manicures and pedicures.
