I tried to get the jelly pedicure but they had run out of the jelly stuff, so when I ordered just the basic pedicure the guy tried to get me to upgrade. I said "no thank you", twice actually, and when I did he turned to talk to his friend in his native language, looked at me again and laughed. He did this two more times during the pedicure. They used toe clippers on me and then they were immediately used on my friend, not cleaned in between. Who else had they been used on?? He did give a decent massage, which is why I gave him a 1/5, but the paint job wasn't good either. I came into the salon with my friend hoping to have a relaxing time, but it was the total opposite. I went in to get my acrylics taken off, and sns nails done. Firstly, when I was soaking the acrylics off the acetone began to burn my fingers. I mentioned this to the tech and she told me "that's how it works" (I later had blisters on my fingers). Second, I was getting a pedicure at the same time I was soaking my nails. I put my feet in the water, and they put the hot bowl of acetone in my lap. The nail tech doing my pedicure asked me to lift my feet up which I replied "no, bc there is a bowl in my lap." He then went ahead and lifted them anyways SPILLING THE WHOLE BOWL OF ACETONE IN MY LAP. The worse part was he just ran away and did not even apologize or get me a towel. (another nail tech had to come and help me). He was very rude. And on top of that, it was very much over priced for the work done (my nails were grown out in a week). Read Less

Antonio did my nails in a rush and still took an hour. He didn’t cut my nails before putting the white tip on and didn’t glue it well and glopped the shalaque on there messily and barely cleaned it up. I asked for square and he insisted to round the sides because it “felt weird not to” overpriced and underwhelming. He cut them SO SHORT!! What a waste of money. Toes fail too. Messy! Woman who did my toes didn’t speak a WORD of English and didn’t understand what I wanted. Went in 3/31 & will not be going back again my nails look horrible lumpy look like I already need a fill . Went in for a fill the lady that did them was rushing. I understand they are very busy but still for the price of 40 buck for a fill I excepted a bit more. & I still left a $5.00 tip for the lady. Read Less

I recently moved to Texas from Southern California and needless to say I was very worried about moving out here and trying to find another nail technician who could meet my expectations from my previous nail tech who I have been seeing for the last five years. Nothing is worse for me than paying a pretty penny for beauty services and not being satisfied. I'm very particular when it comes to my nails and know what I like. After having a bad experience at another place I looked at the reviews and decided to try sweet nails out. I was greeted by the owner Antonio and he was very attentive to me and my needs. I explained to him what I was looking for and was very pleased with the end result. The salon is clean and designed well. I got an acrylic fill and a pedicure. I love that they use the plastic liners in all of the spa chairs for the pedicures. I'm a hygiene freak! My daughter and I went for pedi's n she got a full set for prom. Mimi did her full set, from the beginning she had a bad attitude, eye rolls at my daughter's requests regarding length n shape. She couldn't find the right nails so we comprised to get something close. Then the finished nails had bubbles in them. When we complained all me got was you can write a review on yelp. This place was very nice and at first the staff was friendly. When shaping my nails the tech cut 3 fingers with the file board! It was bad and he barely apologized and kept doing it! I also told tech and 'manager' that I did not ombred like I asked for, they were all white. Both said it looks better this way. I told them I would come back after a day if I still did not like them. I have gone and return to this nail salon about 5 times now. My family and I have owned nail shops in the past so I can be picky yet knowledgable. This one is refreshing because (1) it's new with no strong acetone smell at walk in, (2) it is spacious and (3) have genuine personable service. It's clean and spacious with lots of breathing room. The ambience is more contemporary and luxurious than other places, not cheesy, crowded and worrisome of being unsanitary.Those at the front, greet you immediately and overtime make meaningful conversations. They ask questions to learn exactly what you are looking for and construct your acrylic or SNS to exactly what you like which I very much appreciate when I did Baby Boomer Ombre Nails. Antonio, who works there most of the time, ensures that all customers are being tended to and are feeling comfortable. The service and personality of the salon makes you feel more important than a cash flow opportunity as most nail salon do. He and his staff will make special accommodations and the tone of it seems genuine. The pedicure typically takes longer than expected, perhaps with less experience staff members doing it but I rather have them take their time than carelessly rush through.Highly recommend to go. I'm pretty impressed with this place so far. I had noticed a new shop was moving in while sitting in the line at Whataburger (my favorite). I had also heard from a couple of the girls at work who had been and liked the manicures they got, so I decided it was time. I stopped in, no appointment, in the middle of the week around 4:45. There was one other customer when I walked in (score!) and I was immediately greeted and helped. The staff was super nice, offered me a drink and gave me their full attention.I asked for a shellac manicure and to my surprise they had a TON of color choices. The best part about it was that it was incredibly organized! My OCD was in heaven! All organized, in numerical order... Perfection. The bottles were kept behind the counter so only the employees could access them. They had a sample of every single color and it looked like most colors (like 97%) were offered in both shellac and regular polish. The selection was pretty epic. It felt like there were 500 colors to choose from, even some cool speckled options. I went with a neutral shade after asking the opinion of one of the gals there. My technician was very nice and did a good job with cutting and shaping my nails. She gave me three coats after the technician next to her suggested. (I think he was the owner). The color matched what I was expecting. She gave me a pretty good massage with oil and lotion and then used a hot towel to wipe off the excess. It had to be about 15 to 20 minutes long. Overall, I liked the place. It's brand new, super clean and had a good atmosphere. I rated them 4 stars because I was a little surprised to be paying $30 for a shellac manicure. I guess I'm used to the other nail salons in the area, but they don't spend the time on a massage like that. I'll definitely be returning for my next manicure and pedicure. I'm already dreaming about the color wall and choosing my next color. I'm hoping I found a place that's consistent because getting the same quality, every visit, has been super challenging for me. Went to this place based on the reviews in Yelp and because they are new.We absolutely loved this place. We made two appointments and when we walked in the owner welcomed us and asked if we were the appointments scheduled. The owner was very nice and seems to care about the clients and his staff. We had pedicures and two full sets. We were satisfied with both. One set was acrylic and the other was SNS. I am so happy that there is someone South that does SNS and such a good job.
