I had my sns mani done here a couple of weeks ago. After I left the building I realized that there was excess nail polish under two of my fingernails. It's quite noticeable and I tried removing it myself, but it wouldn't budge. I went in today and informed them my situation. I asked if they can just remove all of the polish to compensate the poor nail job, but she wanted me to pay $10 if I wanted to remove all of it. I’ve been going to Zen for around 3 years and I love it, it’s rare that I ever stay with a nail salon that long! My aunt and I go once a month, Judy does my SNS and Katy does my pedicure. I went there with my Gran Gran and the service was horrible. My Gran’s nails were done and then they wanted to do mine next! I told them I’m good cause there is no way my Gran was gonna be waiting on me to get my nails done after hers are already done! HORRIBLE!!! I brought my girls here just for simple nail and toes paint job while i got my pedicure and my real nails painted.We sat here for 3 hours!!! I told them ar least 7 times that my girls wanted to get their nails painted. They sat there and welcomed everyone else before them. It wasn't until I actually stood up to pay that someone came and they apologized and did my girls toes and nails. If the manicure had been as good as the pedicure I would've given Zen 5 stars. I have been several times for just a manicure or just a pedicure and never had this problem but for some reason today they decided to do my shellac mani at the same time as my pedicure. I felt like a contortionist as the guy did my manicure. So that great pedicure I was getting I couldn't even enjoy! Not only was I being twisted and pulled but he made 3 different fingers bleed as he was doing my cu...ticles and didn't bother to clean under the nails after he trimmed and filed them. To top it my nails just looked messy around the cuticles and there was shellac on my fingers, plus the UV dryer wouldn't work consistently. When I suggested we needed to move to a station, and they were all open, he said oh no, I'm almost done. Have I said how great the pedicure was and how horrible the manicure was?! I won't be getting both here again! It'll be one or the other and I surely will not be using the guy that did my manicure again. I was visiting my mom from out of town and she had been complaining of her cuticles.  My sister usually clips her nails and she told me it hurts.  So, I brought my mom here to have a professional do the job. They were so gentle with her (even though her hands shake) and she kept falling asleep during her manicure.  She was so happy with her nails afterwards.  I also had my nails done and loved them.  The attention to detail was great!  I need to visit more often as Zen beats my usual nail salons in Florida "hands down." I came here with a friend for her birthday for a spa day. We found this nail salon on yelp and decided to get pedicures and our nails done. When we walked in we were immediately seated to the pedicure chairs which was a plus. Then my nail tech came and she had no idea what she was doing. I had gel polish on my toes so she soaked them and placed foil on them to take of my polish. Normally you're suppose to let the acetone sit for a little to get your nail polish to come off easier, but as soon as she wrapped my fingers she immediately started unwrapping them and started scraping the polish off with her tool, which was painful because she didn't let the acetone sit. The manager/owner came over and help her out since I had acrylic on 2 of my toes which had to be removed by machine. Once my polish was off I was given another nail tech. I believe her name was Bee. She did such an amazing job on my pedicure and she was so sweet. What ever happened to me before her I brushed off since she made my experience turn around. After my pedicure I wanted to get a gel polish change on my hands so I was assigned to someone else. That's where it went back downhill for me again. She was so rude and not very friendly. Whenever she was polishing my hands and I would stick my hands under the machine for the gel to dry, it would get extremely hot (it should never feel like that) and the light would cut on and off. I was telling the nail tech I think the machine is about to burn out and die. I also told her it was burning my hand and she pretended like she didn't hear me ( I had to keep taking my hand in and out because it was burning me) . The machine shut off completely while my hand was still inside of it and the nail tech starts slapping the machine trying it to cut back on. When that didn't work she lifts up the machine (while my hand was still in there) and slams it back down. When she slammed it back down she hit my fingers with the machine and took off the polish she just did (sure enough the machine did in fact burn out). I got no apology nothing. She had to re paint my entire hand all because she was too lazy to get up and get another machine. All in all I'd rather take my money elsewhere so I don't have to experience something like that again. Read Less

I visits this nail salon this wkn for my bday and it was the worst. I ask for a full set, pedicure and eyebrow wax. The entire experience was terrible. The wax was bad. She removed most of my eyebrows, the nail tech assigned to do my pedicure was very rude, she made comments to fellow coworkers. I didn't even let her finish and I refused to let them touch me any further. I will NVR return. My aunt was with me and got a manicure and has already chipped 3 nails. I am a first time customer at this nail shop. I called and scheduled an appt for 3:00. Waited for ten minutes. Walked in and was totally ignored.  Another customer of a different color walked in an was immediately acknowledged. Went to get SNS along with a pedicure, picked my color and did pedicure first. My polish was perfect and the color I wanted (pedicure was okay) well the powder for SNS that was attached to the color of polish was COMPLETELY OFF! Once I noticed it, I brought it to techs attention and she just said "no it same color"... Well come to find out in the end I was completely CORRECT and it was the wrong color! She didn't offer to fix my toes to match my fingers or to fix my nails that she put the wrong color on!! My sister had the same issue (she chose same color, same day, same time) and they were just like not our problem.... YES IT IS! Your business, yalls mistake. NOT MINE! I didn't label the bottles or mismatch them. So now I paid over $75 and my nails and toes don't match, so I get to repay that elsewhere to fix their problem. I usually love this place when I go but this last time I was very disappointed. I went for a full set and a pedi. I asked for the $32 pedi and the lady kept telling me no to get the $42 so after asking 3 times for the $32 I gave in and got the $42 since she wouldn't take no as a answer it was nice well worth it. But she did the same thing with my nails I told her I wanted a regular set with maroon nail polish and she told me no I didn't. I wanted some new stuff called SNS and it only cost a few dollars different and they had the same color and so I agreed because I didn't feel like arguing with her again. So when she got done my nails ended up being Burgundy not maroon and a full set cost me $55 instead of $35 for a regular set. Which is a $20 difference which she said would only cost me a couple of dollars more. And while doing my nails she drilled my whole cuticle around my pinky nail off and when I told her it hurt she told me it didn't. It started off with a decent pedicure (not $42 worth, but still okay).Then I waited for almost half an hour for my manicure.  Decided on an SNS mani because I have a *HUGE* job interview tomorrow.  First I told the lady what shape I wanted 4 times just for her to do whatever she wanted.  By the time she was done, I was in tears because it looked absolutely awful...looked like they put clear nail polish on a red brick.  The girls doing my nails was offended by the fact that I was upset about it, and another girl sat down to try to fix it.  I decided to go with my tried and true shellac.  I picked my color. She brought something else and said it was the same.  I told her it wasn't what I wanted, and she kept going.  I'm in tears again, because I've been looking for work for almost 6 months and I'm about to pay for something I don't like and is totally inappropriate for the position I'm applying for with what little money I have.  It was closing time, so I was forced to pay for something I didn't like and leave.  To top it off, they were standing in a gaggle speaking in nothing but Vietnamese occasionally looking up or gesturing at me when I was paying.  Left there with damaged nails painted a color I didn't want, and some unidentifiable varnish like substance all over my hands that I have no clue of how to get off.So upset, and now instead of properly preparing for my interview tomorrow, I have to find a place to fix this disaster. This was my first time at Zen and I had the best experience. Soon as you walk through the doors your greeted right away and they sit your right down. They offer you a nice beverage of your liking i.e wine, soda, water, etc. I recommend Lisa for your feet and Kim for your nails. They have excellent customer service. Read Less

I have been going to this location since they open the doors and I absolutely loved going. I can't say enough good things about Lana, her pedicures are amazing. The reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because here lately I am very disappointed with the Judy. She has had a bad attitude two different times I've gone and I really don't think that is very professional. So there for I'm sure I'll be finding a different salon soon. I'm giving them a 2 after my last three experiences. Twice I went in the evening after work and it was incredibly loud and hectic. There were several customers kids running around and one of the workers kids. Not at all the typical Zen experience. The techs did good work, but let's face it, there are good techs in other salons. The main reason people go here is the atmosphere, which is starting to wane. Then, I went in yesterday mid-day and the techs weren't warm and friendly like as they usually are. Plus, my pedicure was disappointing-not even close to the ones I've had there before. I recently moved to Beaumont and it was hard to choose which nail place to go to since there's so many. I ended up going to Zen because the complex looked on the newer side and I like the tinted windows for extra privacy. My nail tech Nancy was not intimidated by the Pinterest picture I brought in, she was confident and introduced me to Gel Powder and I'm in LOVE! After moving to Beaumont almost two years ago ! Took me a while to find a good nail shop so when zen nails opened I decided to give them a try and im happy I did ! My nails and eyebrows are always on point ! I personally only let koo do my nails I only go once per month and trust me they last the entire month with no breakage or chipping ( get shellac )I recommend you get here early  on a Saturday or make an appointment because then tend to get busy but the place is always clean & the staff is always polite and professional . I made a reservation for three manicures over the phone with no problem. Zen was recommended to me by someone who works at On Stage II, since they are closed on Sundays. It seems most nail places in Beaumont are closed on Sundays... weird. The staff at Zen Nail and Spa were very friendly and the environment was clean and pleasant. I live in Austin, TX but was visiting my mom in Beaumont, and I forget how much lower services are priced in Beaumont. I'm so pissed off. What a waste of $22. I decided to try another nail salon for a different experience other than Queen Nails (which is the best in Beaumont so far) because I was looking for something a little cheaper than $23 all the time. Before coming I called to check and see what tools they used and how much a pedicure was. I was told the pedicure is $22 (unless you want one of the expensive ones) and that yes they use the cheese grater looking callous remover. So I said, "Hey, what the heck. Just a dollar less. One extra dollar in my pocket." When I sat down the guy doing my feet explained to me how the callous remover doesn't come with the mini pedicure. I said it was fine because when he said callous remover, I thought he meant the actual oily substance they use before working on your heels. So I figured maybe he'd just do the best he can without it. By the end of the pedicure, I noticed the grater looking tool was in the bucket but he was already beginning to lotion my legs for a prep massage and hadn't used it on my heels at all. (My heel on my right foot gets vert calloused.) So when I asked him whether he was going to use it or not, he responded by telling me that the callous remover (referring to the tool) doesn't come with the pedicure I chose and that's what he was trying to tell me. It was a huge misunderstanding considering I thought the callous remover was the substance and not just the tool. Nevertheless I regret coming here, I should've just stuck with what I know which is Queen Nails who uses both the callous substance and metal grater for only $23. My heels are still hard and they just took my money I could've used to go somewhere where they would actually try to do a good job on your feet. He did scrub my feet with the buffer looking thingy, but common sense tells you if you can feel that the person's heels are a little rough, then use what you can to get it down and smooth as best as you can. He barely scrubbed my feet at all. I can't stand these lazy nail salons that don't want to own up to their license. Do not come here, unless you plan on spending $50-$60 for a REAL pedicure that you can get for $30 at QUEEN NAILS. These people are a joke. I want my money back!!!!! Read Less

Love this nail salon! Prices are comparable to other local nail places. This is a family operated spa and all the ladies are super friendly and helpful. Each nail tech spends time properly grooming your nails and nail bed. They trim cuticles and any excess skin around the nail. They all enjoy their job and make you feel like a person instead of just a number in line. This is for both hands and feet. They also have an extensive selection of shellac colors to choose from.
