I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this Pedi Parlor and was very excited when my daughter (5) and I were able to make a girls day out of it. The experience was great and the technicians were kind and easy to talk to. My daughter and I enjoyed the experience, however the quality of work was very poor. I could have put on a "spa" day with my daughter at home and the nail polish would have last longer and I we could have used the $140 on something else. We had manis and pedis on Saturday at 1pm and by Sunday the polish on two nails fell off, by Monday my daughter's manicure was COMPLETELY gone!! As for me my manicure was destroyed by Wednesday. I didn't expect for the polish to last weeks of course, but a week would have been nice. This wasn't our first mother daughter spa day. We've had experiences at Embelish, Luxe nails on Burnet and Eshee nail spa -all manicures lasted on my daughter, which is why I was sooo bummed this time. To top it off I didn't notice at the time my daughters toe nails weren't trimmed and today her nail cracked to the flesh part causing blood and discomfort... if I would have known she wasn't going to get a nail trim I would have done it before we went or shortly after to prevent overgrowth. Just NO. There are several lovely nail shops all around 620/2222. The owner, Rachel should stop bad mouthing the other shops, former employees, etc. I was washing my hands in the ladies room and could hear the owner in the back work area, short walls and high ceilings. " The owner of Plum Spa is so jealous of me, she drives by spying on me and takes pictures." WHAT?! I also have a question? Did you pay people to vote you in as best nail shop for Austin?, your winning seems really shady. Also, the gossip about your high turn over of employees is a really, really bad sign. Neighbors, check out the prices and places in the neighborhood, lots of great people doing wonderful services and have been established for years. Not worth the price or owners attitude. Read Less

This is a delayed review from visits from fall of 2017. I came here 2 times for a mani and pedi combo. Both visits I booked online. The first visit I asked for Morgan as she is highly recommended. I did not get Morgan and at first was told I hadn't requested her. Then the owner admitted I had, but they had to move appts around and place me with another tech. The service was ok, but I was not impressed with the nail buff and surprised the tech actually gave me the nail brush and asked me to go to bathroom to scrub under my own nails. My nails were not dirty and I would expect this to be done by the tech. The second time I came I did get Morgan and she did a very good job. I paid extra for the footlogix exfoliation which made my feet peel like snakeskin for weeks after. It was awful. When I brought this up to Rachel she said that it must be something else and could not have been the treatment.  I did not do anything else different and it wasn't any type of infection because after my feet finally peeled layers of skin, they were fine. It was the footlogix treatment they gave me and I didn't appreciate the blame being put on me. In addition, as I was leaving my appt, Rachel told me that services with Morgan would go up in price as she was a Master technician. I have never heard of different levels of nail techs and are you saying that you have to pay extra for a good service? I also didn't care for the bowls of water they have to lug back and forth for your pedicure as well as that no one was up front most of the time.  Guests would walk in and one of the techs would have to call to the back to get someone to come up front. If I want a consistent great service at this price point, I will go take the long drive back to Milk and Honey Spa. Read Less

If you're looking for a chic nail salon with friendly, highly qualified technicians, this is the place for you. Fantastic decor that adds to your relaxation; real, current (but still calming) music; great selection of high end nail lacquer (including some that are good for the environment and your body); and tons of cute, unique gifts for sale. The only bit of advice I would give is to find a way to make it feel less like you get nickle and dimed for certain things. It doesn't feel quite as good to have an upcharge brought up mid-pedicure, for example, as it would to just choose a pricier pedicure package that suits all of your needs in advance of the technician beginning their work. But this is an excellent establishment with a clearly invested, caring owner. Read Less

This place is heavenly! I came here to have a pedicure on a Sunday morning. The service was easy to book online and my nail tech, Rosie, was stellar! I received the seasonal Peppermint Mocha pedicure, which included the use Rachel's Plan Bee products. It smelled awesome! The cream smells like chocolate and is handcrafted with organic cocoa butter. This place is so cute! Super comfy chairs for the pedicures, very nice staff, and you can shop while you wait. Our pedicures, while probably a bit more expensive that your average corner store nail salon, were WELL worth the upgrade. They pay such close attention to detail and are concerned about your comfort the entire time. Yummy mimosas to top it off! Update: I originally wrote this review as I was getting my service, and afterwards I realized it ended a lot sooner than I would have expected. For an $80 pedicure I received MAYBE 5-8 minutes massage (my sister who received the same service said the exact same thing), I definitely would expect much longer for that expensive of a service. I just had the best pedicure of my life at Peppermint Pedi Parlor! Thank you, Cynthia - you are a miracle worker!  I went in with terrible dry skin and cracked heels - and left with feet as soft as a new born baby's skin. If there is anyone out there who has trouble with dry skin and callouses on their feet - you need to make an appointment with Cynthia!  She did such an amazing job - and gave great advice on some products that can help keep feet in tip top shape (products that you can find at Walgreens or Amazon or Target, etc. that won't break the bank.)Also - the salon is adorable! The owner, Rachel, did such a great job of decorating. She is a doll and everyone there is so nice. This place is fantastic--the owner Rachel personally saw that my experience was amazing, and the pedicure I got from Morgan today was one of the most thorough I've had yet. With the footlogix callous treatment upgrade, my feet are now baby soft. What was great is that Morgan went back and reapplied the treatment and continued to scrub at my dry heels (once wouldn't have quite done it for this flip flop lover!). The boutique is way cute, their chairs are super comfy, everyone was really friendly, the wine they served was tasty and LOVE the selection of high end Smith and Cult nail colors! This is such a cute, wonderful place. They take great care in making sure you're comfortable and having a relaxing time. It's easy to book online. It's easy to get to, with ample parking. The salon is brightly lit and so cute. You can't help but have a wonderful time here. You have plenty of polish options and everyone is crazy friendly. I know there are a ton of options for nails. This place is amazing! I've been going to traditional nail salons my while life but after years of gel and an SNS removal, my nails were in bad shape. I had heard of IBX and saw that Peppermint Pedi offers it, so I booked a gel mani with IBX. I had Elizabeth and she did an incredible job. Very thorough and not rushed. (And y'all... the IBX is no joke. That stuff works!) My gel mani lasted almost 3 weeks with no peeling or chipping. I only got it redone since it was growing out. I went back today for a gel mani and a pedi with footlogix treatment. (You'll get deals via email!) Jasmine did my pedi while Jacqueline did my mani. (I did them at the same time since I called last minute and they worked things around to get me in!) Both of my girls were very good and I love the end results of both. The hard part for me next time will be choosing which professional to book with, as everyone I've seen has been great.Know before going that this is going to be quite a bit pricier than what you're used to. However, I find it to be worth the price. The interior is adorable and spotless. There is a small boutique at the front and you will want to buy all of the things. They use high quality products and you'll notice a difference. There are no pedicure chairs, so if that is a deal- breaker, this is not the place for you. I would like to congratulate Rachel (the owner) on a wonderful place. As soon as you walk in, you notice the cleanliness, not cluttered with massage pedicure machines that can be so distracting. The boutique items in the front and the decor automatically makes you feel like you are going to be pampered as well as the choice of music playing to the offering of wine, mimosa, or tea and water. The furniture is comfortable and they offer a variety of nail polish. Tammy was my nail specialist and was wonderful. The fact that they take the time and address every customer by name when they speak to you was just impressive. Also, no one seemed to be selfish as they all helped each other out when they were done with their customer. The excellent customer service began when I tried setting up an appointment via Yelp Messenger, it was after hours and they confirmed me for the following day!  Some have commented on price but you basically get what you pay for... it's worth it! I love this place! It is a bit pricey, but you get really great service. For that, I wish I could do half star reviews because this is a solid 4.5. From the moment you walk in, the place has a welcoming, charming feel. It is decorated nicely, and they have fragrant candles that are nice, not overpowering. They don't have the gimmicky massage chairs, but rather you get a comfortable real chair and a bowl for soaking your feet, which tends to be more clean. The pedicure itself was expertly done. My technician, Elizabeth, paid very careful attention to the process, aiming for perfection, and my feet looked and felt great when I left. Love this place! Kat was nice, and I ask lots of questions, and she answered my questions about nail care knowledgeably and kindly. I haven't gotten a professional manicure in four years because of a bad experience where they drilled off my natural nails to remove a gel manicure which was painful, and made my nails weak. She told me about the proper way to remove gel, and I appreciate that they will do what is right instead of what is fast or easy. My friends thought it was too pricey, but I personally think that you get what you pay for I'll pay 10-15 extra bucks for something I want and like. I'm not horribly picky about customer service, because I work in a similar industry, so I know that it can be tough, but I always notice exceptional service. Kudos, ladies :) Read Less

The light airy feel of this boutique parlor coupled with its clean & dainty design concept made me feel right at ease during my appointment. The delicate touches they use in the main pedi process can't be compared to any old nail place! The women were all so sweet and content to talk or just let you relax and enjoy peace and quiet. How do I love this place? Let me count the ways! I have been around a while. I was around back in the day when getting your nails done at a salon was a total luxury and then they turned into a torture sweatshop.  The poor girls that were in the salon seemed to care about you only when you first start going. Once you are a regular they seem to take you for granted. I would switch up my nail salons in hopes that would solve the problem but it was still torturous! Nips, cuts, scratches, oops, worrying about sterilized tools but NOT HERE.At Peppermint Pedis I felt like I had been transported to the good ole days. It was a luxury again. The atmosphere was so comfortable, not the sparse and dirty that I've come accustomed to. My step daughter came to visit and I heard of this place and I took a chance and loved it! our pedi's were awesome. The experience was awesome. We chatted and gossiped with our girls, every thing but the atmosphere was sterile! My pedi lasted quite a while I need to go back but the best part of this experience was my step daughters reaction, she talked about it for days on how much she loved it and loved the ladies that did our pedis.
