I just recently went to Solar Nails and I go every two weeks. However the level of service I received today was disappointing, degrading and hurtful. I arrived here and told them the services I wanted. However two people arrived after me and got service before they even started on me. I was asked to move 3 times and was there for an hour. Then they tried to say that the woman ahead of me had an appointment and they would give me a discount. I kindly asked them to remove my nail polish and that I'd pay for however much that was but no thank you. Nothing was communicated to me and their service sucks. If you appear older and more established, you'll probably get ok service but if not, good luck. I wouldn't spend my money here again and I would suggest you dont. The one thing that makes me mad the most is how I was treated and how no remorse or sorts were given. Save your money, wish o could give 0 stars because that's what this place amounts to. I will not tolerate disrespect or ignorance which is what Solar nails displayed. Save your money!!!! Read Less

I live nearby, which is great because when it comes to nails this is the best. Moon does my dip! Her sets are always beautiful and last 2+ weeks. There are times I've had to use other places before and the dip powder cracks or breaks and it's unacceptable since I pay extra for the best product. There is another lady (I don't know her name but she's the first table on the left) who does magic when she gives you a pedicure. I honestly don't know why I continue to try this salon. I have been to this salon 3 times and each time I leave unsatisfied. Today was the final straw when I asked for Ombré nails (Picture attached). They over charge you to get extra money, I just left from getting a pedicure , I was charged an extra ten dollars, an the last time I came here to get my nails taken off the lady didn't fully take off all the gel it was still some one there and when I showed her she got upset and tried to over charge me I'm done with this shop they are horrible!!!! Came in to get dip powder nails/pedicure and I was happy to see they have a wide range of dip colors compared to other salons. The place was really clean and well maintained with bright lighting so I was able to see the true color of my polish. The ladies were all really friendly and paid close attention to detail when working on my nails. I love my nails and had the best pedicure. I highly recommend this nail salon! Read Less

I came here on a a Sunday it was pretty busy but they were moving quickly. I got a regular pedicure & powder nails. I paid $57 including tip. This experience was just ok nothing great, nothing bad. They did an ok job on my hands & feet.  Cleanliness was ok. I may go back. Read Less

Solar Nails regular price for a standard/ basic pedi is $22 but if you go on Mon thru Wed, there's a special for $19.99. It says so on the sign outdoors before entering and even though it says to show student ID, even when you're not a student, Adults can still cash in on this special.   My prob with them is that when time to pay, I was charged on my card for $20 and not the $19.99 as clearly advertised on the window.  Regardless, of whether its 1 cent or $1 you owe a customer, you should still offer the change because by right it's your own no matter how little or large the difference is.  Don't assume a customer won't accept/ be grateful to receive their change because it gives a customer an idea on how honest and professional that business conducts itself!! Am I wrong?    Apart from price issues, it's a good place in regards to pricing for an affordable and decent pedi.  They're not too positive with their attitude -when the lady worked on me, she was not only mumbling in her own language to the other women working there but she complained how tired she was whilst working on my feet.  This was a complete turnoff for me because the customer beside me didn't have that prob and also she as well as other customers in the salon gave me stares because one could tell that the lady working on my feet were talking what I assume to be terrible stuff maybe about me in her own language to the other staff working in the salon. You don't always have to speak/ understand a language for its the hand gestures and body actions that gives one away with their intentions/ motives! Read Less

I love having all my beauty needs taken care of at Solar Nails. I get acrylic nails with clear gel coating, pedicures and eyebrow waxing and I love the results every time! Went to this nail shop because I had spare time and I was in this area I looked them up on google. The nail tech did a great job. They had a sign posted that said we accept all competitors coupons. I was excited. I got on my phone, found a nail shop near that had a coupon online and told her that I had a coupon because I had read the sign. She said okay. I got gel dip powder on my nails and my toes painted to match. My total bill was $47. The coupon stated that it was $15.00 off any service over $30 for first time visitors.  When she told me how much I owed her, I showed her the coupon. She immediately stated yelling at the manager in her native language. The manager came over and let me know that they weren't accepting coupons that day. Even though the sign stated that they accept (ALL) competitors and this coupon did not have any days excluded. So I asked her why didn't the nail tech tell me that they weren't accepting coupons when I went through this conversation with her earlier. I then realized that they didn't want to take the coupon because it was $15 off of my service. She told me that the most she could give me off was $5. I would never go back to this place nor recommend that you go. In order to be a good business, you have to be upstanding and a place that stands by your word. If the sign is printed on the window that says you accept ALL competitors coupons then that is what you must do. Read Less

It's never a convenient time for technicians to perform the services! I've tried to receive services 3 times and either they tell me it's a two hour wait when I walk in the door on a weekday & no one is even receiving services or they say they are closed at 6:30pm. Not convenient at all! Read Less

The very first time I came here was because I had gotten a toe nail fungus... they got rid of it and I've never had a problem since. I've been coming to this place for about 8/9 yrs now! They do an amazing job! They are clean and friendly! My mom also goes here as well. They have tons of nail designs to choose from and they keep up with all the latest trends and fashions. I can't believe that I went more than half of my adult life not having ever experienced this creature comfort! I have been going to Solar Nails, mainly once a month, for over 9 years now. I get a pedicure, manicure and a haircut on most visits. I have always felt pampered and appreciated every time I have visited. The staff speaks limited English, but the...y are able to understand and communicate well enough your needs in a pleasant and friendly manner. The shop is always very clean and the staff are very prompt about cleaning their space & there hands after every customer they handle. They always wear gloves & their tools are always stored in sterilized bags before they begin your service. I always call ahead & make an appointment & never have had to wait more than a few minutes to be attended too!
