Cosmo Nail Bar does nails the way they should be done! The products they use are top quality and they take the time to make sure edges are filed so that you don't experience lifting between appointments (on acrylic nails). I ask my tech for short and natural looking nails and that is what I get. You can walk in, but appointments are encouraged. Bright, modern environment and super clean and sanitary. Awesome Nail salon I come here at least once a month for a pedicure! You get a couple complimentary drinks while you get your service done which is awesome! I've always had a great experience at this nail salon. I've been going once-twice a month for about six months now and have never had any problems, but then again I request the same nail stylist every time I go. I usually try to call ahead because they do get very busy! On occasion I have had to wait a little over my appointment time, but I have no problem with this because I wouldn't want the person ahead of me to feel rushed. When it is my turn I've never felt like they have rushed the nail service just to get me in and out the door as quickly as possible for their convenience, which is a big difference from the last nail salon I frequented. Scheduled first time appt at this location last week for mani/pedi- Katie was my technician. The place is big with plenty of stations. They were very professional and friendly. Katie took her time and was very attentive in doing a great job- I was pleased and will be back. Went in yesterday at 2:30pm and was told that they were booked for the rest of the until they closed and couldn't help me. There was only two people getting their nails done and two people getting pedicures. I understand the concept of needing to make appointments on busy days or when requesting a specific technician. But the man was unbelieveably rude and crud. He could of educated a new customer of an appointment policy instead of just turning me away rudely. He could of also offered for me to call later in the afternoon to see if any appointments had cancelled, but no. Makes me feel like they were not genuinely interested in gaining new business. Why advertise for walk ins when you aren't staffed for that?? I've tried 3 times to walk in and have been sent away.... yes, I know I can make an appointment, but the one time I tried I was told it was full. Once was in the middle of the day on a Wednesday! I've been going here a few months now. The place is huge, nicely decorated, has free drinks, & its right by my house. My issue is that the service isn't consistent and they do nothing to accommodate you when you complain. On one visit a tech started cutting my real nails off assuming they were fake. Now I have to get tips of which keep breaking before it's even time for a fill. I've had my nails done there twice in two weeks time because I absolutely hated the shape/total look of my nails. Tech flat out ignored what I asked for and clearly rushed doing my nails. I went back the next week saying Im back so soon because the last tech did a horrible job. You'd think they'd put their most skilled tech on my nails this time, right? Wrong! I got someone who can't do nails again! My nails were lumpy, shaped funny, crooked. Worst I've ever seen. I had to go back and ask for the worst nail to be fixed. Why did they have the same tech fix my nail? She messed it up and thought it was fine, so why send her to fix my nails? Btw she didn't fix it, made it look better, but didn't fix it. I was leaving on vacation that day and didn't have time for much else. I would've kept the nails I had if I knew they'd turn out worse. I'm going back to my old shop. Farther from me and the wait is long but at least I won't have the newbie on my nails. There's a few seasoned techs I've seen do great work there, so if I go back my nails can only be touched by them. It's more expensive to go here, but I thought the service would match the price. I feel like the last 2 times I've been there they have purposelessly made up a story about them being booked all day because I questioned the previous service I had had before where they recommended powder over gel (which I didn't want), but went with their suggestion after they continued to push, and my nails looked horrible. One nail looked split on the side and I had color all around my nails they didnt clean off, and they were bumpy!! I had a wonder experience at this nail bar. I didn't have to wait at all, it was a Wednesday afternoon, but I am very impressed with the service that I received. My pedicure was very neat and the tech took here time. I did not feel rushed at all! I will definitely be returning, if the service is the service is the same, I may have found my new nail home!!! I was referred to this salon by a friend. The first time I had a pedicure, it appeared that the woman knicked me under my left toenail (it was a dark red spot that did not openly bleed). I noticed over several weeks that my toenail was turning yellow up top & the red had spread out. I know nothing about fungal infections & have never had ONE in 20 years. The second time I went back, another lady told me "it was a bruise." This so-called bruise is indeed a fungal infection & I noticed not long after that appointment....my right, big toenail was beginning to look the same. I've been using medication several times per day & have slightly more than half of my bog toenails left. By the looks of them, they are toast. I would have given this place five stars, but the nail tech that was working on my manicure cut my cuticles and sliced it open. Let's just say that shit hurt. It was only due to carelessness. The other nail tech who did my pedicure was amazing. They have a nice selection of colors, gels and nail colors. I didn't think their prices were too fair, but since they are in the nicer part of arlington, there prices reflected that as well. They also had a nice drink bar if you're trying to get hammered while your getting a mani pedi.Overall, I'd say 3 stars due to the prices and that one nail tech. Read Less

This place need a sign that says, "Walk-ins NOT Welcome" - This morning was my 2nd attempt to get an unplanned pedicure at the Cosmo Bar. I walk in at 9:32am (2 mins after opening) and the same guy answering the phone was doing a pedicure for the One and Only customer in the place. He then politely told me that they were all booked up until about 1pm. Are you kidding me?  I am beyond annoyed and disappointed. Every time I go they say they are booked with appointments but when you look around the huge, nicely decorated spa, there are more employees at the front desk then there nail techs! They have like 30 pedicure chairs and I've never seen more than 7-10 chairs occupied at one time. If I had the luxury of a set or flexible schedule, sure I could make an appointment and avoid this - But when you're a working mother and wife your time is not always yours so sometimes that requires you to get up on a Saturday morning and sneak out of the house for a quick pedicure. And this time is usually not planned!Luckily, a place right down the street "Hot Nails & Spa" opens earlier and more than enough nail techs. I went there and was able to get serviced right away. 100% Recommend! I got my first pedicure here and everyone was super nice. The place is new as it just opened in January. It is clean and the design is modern. For regular nails that's not smooth they are bumpy and it looks like I need a fill already oh and if your going to charge $20 for gel polish you should let a person know. Great new place to get my nails done. It's a little out of the way of my house but the experience is worth it for great service and beautiful nails. When you first enter, you will definitely first notice the massive bar. It is what I would expect in an actual bar but is great to see I. My nail salon! They had so many options from the basic wine to mimosas and margaritas. I even heard someone order a vodka cranberry! My mimosa was extremely yummy and a fun addition to the experience. They also have a ton of large tvs in the salon normally fixed to HGTV. The nail polish selection for gel, dip, and regular polish is amazing. They have every color you could imagine in high quality OPI. It was almost overwhelming! They got to work very fast even though it was busy and they only have about 6 or so manicure stations. They have so many pedicure chairs though! She did my nails fast with little conversation which I don't mind at all. She did a great job and made my nails look great after a long time of no attention! Very clean looking salon. Reasonable pricing. I liked that they had a wide selection of polishes to choose from. The only bad thing I could say is the parking. This place is amazing! I came here for the first time today and I have found my new salon! They do say it gets busy on the weekend so I will keep it in mind! I got the Manhattan Mani and Pedi! I was mid-errands, waiting for hubby to go to lunch, so I was yelping for a manicure spot nearby.  Found this gem and LOVED it!They've been open about a month and the place is gorgeous and immaculate.  I walked in, needing a shellac manicure, nothing fancy and was greeted immediately.  They have a full bar, including margaritas (fancy glass, with salt), mixed drinks (I saw Hennessy on the shelf if that tells you anything) and sodas and water.  I opted for a soda, but will definitely take hubby and Uber back for a mani/pedi happy hour.The manicure was perfect - she paid lots of attention to my horrible cuticles and even added an additional coat of the color because we both felt it looked more pink and it was supposed to be red.  The last coat made it red red and boy, is it shiny!Courteous and professional staff, friendly but not intrusive and all around a good deal.  I was in and out in about 45 minutes, $30 plus gratuity and I left one happy girl!Since it's in a busy shopping center in South Arlington, next to Sprouts, I imagine they will get very busy on the weekends, so I'd recommend making an appointment!  I will be back! This place is new in town and I love it! The owner is so lovely and kind! I have been in there a total of 3 times now and all of the staff that I have dealt with are super kind and friendly. I had to bring my 8 year old son with me the last time I went and they were very child-friendly and didn't stick their noses up when we came through the door. Offering him drinks and allowing him to sit in the empty chair next to me and actually conversing with me and him. My new favorite spot! Everything here was incredibly chic and clean. All utensils were sanitized and came in their own fresh packaging. I recommend you GO NOW, because they're doing a grand opening 20% discount. These guys just opened the beginning of January so I'm not sure how much longer they'll have this special. I only wanted a mani, so it came out to just $20. Are you kidding me!?!?? I also had a complimentary mimosa (2 drink limit), which was made perfectly. They also offer wine, beer, and margaritas. I'm sure if you asked, they can try to whip you something else. I was really excited they carry those mood changing polishes. My inner 90s kid was so excited!! I also thought it was cute that their menu of services came in the form of a drink menu. This is a great place for a girls' day, or even bringing your boyfriend. They have seating at the bar, so you can both get pedicures here and then guys can hang out at the bar watching tv while you get your polish on. Upon entering the building I was greeted by very friendly faces and I must be honest, the fact that there was no language barrier really helped since typically they have a hard time understanding me or vice versa. The appearance is jaw dropping and so fresh. The light colors and diamond details against the Black background really gives the place a professional feel. The staff is dressed in all black and the men in ties with matching smiles to match. I called 30 mins ahead to set an appointment so there was no waiting. The pedicure water temperature was perfect and Helen really took her time. As I was getting my feet done, Katrina came over to do my nails making sure to place a pillow on my lap covered with a towel so I would be comfortable. I was there getting serviced for all of 1 hour 30 mins at most and stayed a minute to finish my wine. I have finally found a place that I can feel comfortable at and not have to worry about waiting on one specific person for hours to be available. I thought I found a place a few weeks ago but when I called to make an appointment, the phone was disconnected-oh well! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to kick back and relax.
