This is not the right place to get a massage, DO NOT expect a relaxing experience. First you change into your spa attire and wait in a hallway that has foot traffic for both FULLY dressed women AND men.  With the robes being on the smaller, shorter side I was a bit uncomfortable seeing all of these people walking in and out of the door leading to this area. The massage..... definitely not worth the money. The room was freezing and the massage table was just as cold. The room I was in is located directly across from the pedicure area and the people in there getting their pedicure were EXTREMELY LOUD and DRUNK  off of the free mimosas that they give out. Now I don't fault the women for having a good time after all they were celebrating an up coming wedding. I know this because I had to ask the masseuse if something could be done about the noise. First the music was turned up, which by the way was even more distracting because spa music is not meant to be blasted on the radio. Then the masseuse went across the hall and asked them to keep it down. That did not work. You will also hear the click-clack of high heels in the hallway, on the tile floor, as you lie there trying to relax. That noise was constant and it echoed in the halls. I could not wait for my hour to be up. I contemplated just getting up and leaving many times. In hindsight if should have and if placed in a situation like this again I certainly will. I had a pedicure scheduled to follow my massage and waited for about 15 min before I was told that they forgot about it and that it would be another 25 min before I could get in. I went there for a package yesterday. The massage was nice but when i got to my pedi and mani. They didnt have the proper stuff. They had to run to sallys beatuy supply and get what i wanted which was solar nails. Than i asked for a desgin they didnt have the proper tools so they couldnt do it. So i also got a lunch well where they get it from was closed so they figured get it from somewhere else. I felt like they were not prepared. Didnt feel relaxed. They were kinda rude. Had a couples massage on Saturday the 27th. I had Olivia and my girlfriend had a guy that I can not remember his name. When we made the appointment we asked for two women masseuses. We figured they were short staffed so went with it. Olivia did an awesome job, 5 stars,as this was my first massage ever. As for my girlfriend, she has been here several times and always uses Olivia. This time she had the worst massage she has ever had here, this guy gave her 1/10th the massage he should have had, One time I looked over at him and I think he was texting on his phone. I honestly don't know what everyone is raving about when it comes to this salon. My so-called "one hour spa pedicure " appointment was for 2:45 and I waited until almost 3:00 before I finally got called to the back and at 3:18 the girl had already put my shoes back on and was opening the nail polish bottle. That's approx. 20 mins of VERY basic service and even that was substandard. My feet after being gone from the salon a whole 6 hrs, are still rough, cracked and dry. ...My toenails were not trimmed, my legs and feet were not massaged, the water as lukewarm, the products used had no aroma (so much for luxury and aromatherapy). When I questioned the girl about the fact that I paid for a "1 hour spa pedicure" And she was done after only 20 mins except for the polish, she told me that what took up most of the time was waiting for the polish to dry and that she would put hot towels on my legs while they drying. REALLY? The girl was nice enough, but there was NOTHING relaxing or special about this service and I frankly could have gotten a better pedi at the Milan beauty school. This is the best spot ever! They really know how to treat their customers they were never once through to us they even called us back because they overcharged us $10 an honest little mistake. I have tried to give this spa a chance three times now. I went in for a swim suit bikini wax today because I am scheduled to have a c-section in three days. This was not my first waxing experience. I've been to spas all over the country and I know there are products and procedures that are much more up to date than what was offered to me today. I go to the scarlet door and love it!! Kaycee Cox does my hair and it's incredible. My hair was totally fried before I started going and now is extremely healthy and I receive many compliments on it, especially after leaving. This was such a dissapointing experience. The hairdresser, aryan I think her name was, absolutely traumatized me after I showed her a picture of what I wanted but I told her I needed it longer to keep my length. Instead she stayed true to the picture and cut 6 inches of my hair off. I sat in the parking lot and sobbed and wish I hadn't have paid for the cut. Don't do like I did and arrive in your grungies after shopping at Sam's. This place deserves you to shine yourself up. Great unusual clothes at reasonable prices kept me entertained til time for our mani-pedis. That brings up the one downside. Appt for 245 but it was 315 before we started. Great pedicure but my manicure was shaky cuz she was rushed for time. No drying time resulted in kind of ruined polish on one finger by the time I got to car but that's happened In Other places too. I went to the Scarlet Door after deciding to do something a bit out of character and go grey. I haven't let anyone else cut or dye my hair in 8 years so needless to say I was a bit nervous. I felt assured that this was the right place after seeing reviews online. Instead of making my appointment over the phone I went in, figuring they would need to see what I wanted in order to decide a plan of action and appropriate time frame for the appointment. After waiting at the desk for 10 minutes someone finally came and scheduled my appointment but never asked for any specifics. She assured me she would leave my info with the sylist and have her call me. The call never came. So of course the day of my appointment arrives, I meet with the stylist, explain what I want, and she doesn't have the supplies. Fortunately we were able to reschedule for the following day. The next day I go in and describe what I want all over again. Show her pictures and explain. Dark on top. Grey on bottom. Ombre. To her it looks more like highlights. Fine. Dark with grey highlights on the tips. Whatever. Just please don't make me scared of salons all over again! Midway through the bleaching process another stylist asks why she isn't doing what I've asked for. "I'm being artistic!" What? No. My hair is not here for you to be artistic with. I couldn't tell exactly what she was doing and didn't know exactly how drastic the difference would be so I didn't say anything and decided to wait it out positively. I wish I hadn't!After cleaning out the bleach she continued to dye it in the sink so I had no idea what bits were bleached. She covered my head in grey dye and left me to sit for quite a while. I want to say the first round of grey lasted about 30 minutes. She kept talking about how much she'd spent on the dye alone and I found myself feeling a bit guilty. Until I discovered the first round of grey not only didn't work, but was just her testing out a new product on my hair! My hair is not here for you to experiment with any more than it's here for you to be artistic with. So we go with round 2 of grey and a different product and she mentions how it's the grey she wanted to go with initially, but again she just had to try out a new product. She leaves it in for another 20 minutes at least and I'm just sitting there wondering what horrible mistake I must have made.  Once the time to dry came along I realized just how big a mistake I'd made. The majority of my hair is now much lighter except the underside which she somehow kept dark brown until half way down with a sharp line of grey. Which is about the only obvious grey there is. The rest look like very blonde highlights. I thought maybe I was overreacting and just over analysing the situation. But I met up with some friends later that night who knew what I planned on getting. One asked why I'd died my hair four different colors and if there was even any grey. A coworker today asked why I dyed my hair blonde. Someone else asked if I'd spent more time in the sun lately as my hair seemed much lighter than usual. Yadira at The Scarlett door saved my hair! I asked for ombré at a different salon and went home with orange hair and dark brown roots. She was a life saver. She made sure my hair wasn't too damaged to dye again and made it look wonderful. She even deep conditioned to help with the dryness. Read Less

I have been a customer of The Scarlet Door since they opened....I haven't gone anywhere else for a haircut since then. Debbie does an awesome job and when my daughter lived here she only used Debbie for her hair color which was spot on each time. I have had pedicures from several different girls and was pleased with the professional job I received. The pedicure lasted longer than most and help do with an ingrown toenail issue. The jewelry is reasonably priced and the support staff is excellent. Paulette always greets me as if she's glad I'm there. The cleanliness of the salon is great and I won't go anywhere else! I had such high expectations after reading the other reviews, but the whole experience was a letdown.  My masseuse was much too chatty (although she was strong as all getout!), and the gal who did my facial hardly spoke 20 words at all.  She never asked me about my skin care routine, or my concerns.  She didn't offer any suggestions for anything either.  I was left feeling like I was her last appointment of the day and she just wasn't interested at all.  I'll be checking out other local establishments, as I highly doubt I will return to the Scarlet Door. My husband got me a gift card for a manicure, pedicure and a massage from the Scarlet Door for Christmas. I had never had a spa day so I was very excited for a day of pampering. However, this experience was far from relaxing. When I arrived at the salon they couldn't find my reservation. When they finally figured that out, they sent me to the back to get my manicure. It was pathetic. The lady was texting the entire time that she was working. She wasn't very friendly either. There was no communication between employees while I was there. They kept asking me what I was there for. I made an appointment in advance...so I figured they should know. Next was my pedicure. The lady was nice but did a crappy job. My pedicure came off in two days. Awesome. The massage was fine. I would have preferred for a silent one where I could relax, but the lady was very chatty. At least she was friendly. After moving to Amarillo, I was totally lost as to who to trust with my locks! The first place I went to, which I will leave unnamed, the girl cut my hair a lot shorter than I wanted and it ended up too dark.The search continued, I found another place I really wanted to go but could not for the life of me get a hold of anyone at the salon!I stayed away from calling the Scarlet Door for a while, assuming the price would intimidate me. Turns out their prices aren't any steeper than any other great salon (We aren't talking great clips...) and I made an appointment. When I called, a sweet lady named Ariane answered so I made my appointment with her. She was such a God sent! She did AMAZING cutting my hair, a total natural. She's super kind, easy to talk to, loves Jesus, and listens to what you want. I cannot wait to see her again in eight weeks!Aside from Ariane, the woman at the front desk was kind when I arrived and the salon looked great. Very well kept. I went to get my hair done here based on a recommendation from a friend. Maribel did my hair. She was very pleasant and listened to my concerns about my hair. I've had bad cuts in the past so I'm a bit traumatized. She asked questions about how much time I spend on my hair, etc. She did a great job!
