I liked the place and I really like that when I got my pedicure they put a plastic cover in the foot basin. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they need to have more than 3 people working especially on a Saturday but I would definitely go back. Read Less

Absolutely adored this place! Fabulous pedicure: I got the "Royal" with paraffin wax and a design and it was worth every penny. My sister has had nothing but great thing to say about this nail salon! However I will not find out! I looked them up to find out their hours today so I can take my daughter to get her nails done. Some mommy-daughter time! Google states they are open 12-5pm. We get there and they closed! I now have a disappointed child. I went in to get my toe nails painted and the man that started off doing my toes asked a female nail tech to finish me. I normally only get my toes painted and after the tech is done, he will put my paper disposable flip flops on my feet to keep the polish from smearing. After the rude female tech was finishing up, she asked the male tech that started me out something in their language and not in English, and he responded back in their language, and when she was finished she walked away and didn't put my feet in the disposable flip flops, leaving me there for my feet to dry without the flip flops or the foam toe dividers. I had shoes and socks with me, so I patiently waited expecting one of them to come back to me with the flip flops. I felt very ignored and as if because I wasn't paying for a pedicure that I didn't deserve the disposable flip flops. I did not appreciate being talked about in a foreign language, or being treated less than because I only wanted to spend a minimum amount. In the past, I chose not to go back to previous nail salons because of how I was treated or how I saw other customers treated. Customers should always be treated fairly and respectfully. I am not sure if Essence Nail Salon prefers to give customers that pay for pedicures disposable flip flops, or if this rude female tech got annoyed with me because I was only wanting my toes painted. Speaking in a foreign language is just rude and offensive. I really didn't expect this salon to act like others that I have been to in the past. Not a pleasant experience for me.
