This 5 stars goes to Jenny! I've been going to this establishment since they 1st opened (~2007-2008) and now that they're under new management I do see improvements. I am a loyal customer and very particular about my services. That's one of the reasons why I stick with and am loyal to a technician once I find a good one. I've recently had a bad experience with 2 other technicians that work here...I must say I was disappointed how management at the time handled the situation. But felt a need to share all this, to say that through EVERYTHING... Jenny is the main reason I keep coming back!! Went in for a massage. They were a bit unprepared at first maybe due to they mostly do pedicures and manicures. But nonetheless the website advertises they do massages so I went in. It took them a while but they eventually got the massage room ready and Tammy did a fantastic job! She was very professional and worked out all the knots in my shoulders. I am a happy customer. This facility is HUGE - there are nearly 30 pedicure chairs and there is a LOT of staff as well, so you will likely NOT have a wait...HOWEVER: ASK if the pedicure chair works, prior to sitting down as the cost of a pedicure usually includes the back massage but when yours doesn't work its a bummer! My friend got the chair that didn't work and although they KNEW the chair didn't work, they still filled the tub and put her in and she really wanted a back massage. They did NOT offer an upgrade or discount for the broken equipment. :-(The cost of the pedicure is a pricey: the standard is $44/ mid-level is $54 and deluxe is $64.I got the standard and the unique aspect that Villa does is a paraffin wax food bath after you foot has been smoothed out. Make sure that the polish is done well, mine was rather thinly applied.Overall it was nice to get my feet cleaned up and ready to go for another month. Read Less

On the hunt for a new nail salon, I took the advice of one of my clients and gave this place a shot! I came a few times before writing a review, and I have been pleased every time! My Lan does my gels, and she does a great job, she is also very sweet! After two weeks I didn't really have any lifting but I got them redone just cause I wanted a new color! I got a pedicure recently and I had Kevin. I am pretty sure that this is the most perfect pedi I've ever gotten, he was incredibly detailed and the massage was A+. He even went so far as to undo the buckles on my birkenstocks to get them on without smudging the polish. The bowl of acetone for my nails had a hot stone in it, which was a very nice touch.  They have their licenses in view which makes me feel a lot better, and their implements come out of autoclave baggies. First time to this place, I won't recommend this place to any family members or friends. I spend 100 dollars NEXGEN and PEDICURE. Lynn did my pedi and Rose did my nexgen. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails. I got 5 min massage for my pedicure, work is very sloppy didn't clean polish on the sides specially under same with my hand under my nail is dirty. I got my eyebrows waxed, it was ok but the bed you layed on was dirty spots on the cover. The employees was speaking on their native tongue couldn't understand what any of them are saying very unprofessional. I went to Villa Nails for a gel manicure and pedicure with a friend who gets her NexGen nails done here.  It's located just south of Mooyah inside the Village at Allen.  There was plenty of parking, even on a Saturday evening a couple weeks before Christmas.  Everyone was very nice and quickly prepared our pedicure chairs together.  I chose a gel manicure (they have wooden "books" showing the available colors) and a basic pedicure.I would call this a really basic pedicure.  The water was warm but quickly cooled and my feet were in lukewarm water for a while.  There was minimal everything - not much scrubbing, not much massage.  They do use hot stones for the massage, which was nice, but it meant there wasn't a lot of deeper massage, just being rubbed with something hot.  The massage chairs feel nice on your back, but I had to ask for the remote, while my friend's was turned on for her.  The nail polish was applied fine, but she did not use polish remover and a brush to clean up her mistakes as most places usually do.  I had polish in places on my skin and a couple of rough spots of skin, so it was not the cleanest job.My gel manicure was done at the same time as my pedicure.  To remove my prior gel manicure, they filed down the surface of my nails, then soaked them with acetone.  I think she ruined my nails a bit with the nail file, and I had to stop her once because she filed too much and it started to hurt.  She stayed on one side of the chair and made me stretch the opposite arm and hand over to her on that side, which wasn't super comfortable.  Only two coats of the gel polish were applied, which resulted in a pretty uneven and splotchy layer of red, to be honest (which was hard to tell until out in the light the next day).  Every other place where I've had a gel manicure applies at least 4 or 5 coats.  The polish was also not applied to the top edge of the nails.  A couple days later I can see some cracks along the top edges, likely due to so few coats.One thing I disliked was that my friend and I were both asked if we needed our eyebrows waxed.  If I wanted another service, I would ask for it.  It's a rude upsell which seems to suggest you think I have too much hair on my face.  And as other reviews have mentioned, this place asks specifically if you want your cuticles trimmed, which I assume was because it was an extra charge.  I've never been asked that before and it's always been included in any manicure I've had.Overall, it was a pleasant, average place for getting my nails done.  It's on par pricewise with the area, but I usually get them done cheaper and of higher quality elsewhere. While the receptionist and nail tech were friendly, my technician rushed through my gel manicure and eyebrow wax. Whatever she did with my eyebrows, I clearly could have done at home because they look no different than if I had plucked a couple stray hairs. It was very clear to me that the tech had better things to do, even though there were 2 or 3 other clients in the entire salon. No attention to detail (I have hardened gel polish under my nails) and the whole experience was hurried and poorly done. $52 for a bad experience. Would not recommend. Read Less

I have never had a problem with Villa Nails & Spa, and for a long time it was my favorite (until I discovered Nails Natura in Frisco).My pedicure was awesome and painless (although it tickled like crazy).My best friend and I came in an hour before close, and it took nearly the entire hour for us to get our nails done, even while someone was working on both our hands and feet simultaneously. I just felt like the work time was a little longer than I'm used to.BE AWARE: this place does NOT offer combos - no mani-pedi combos! I got out for like $80...much more than I usually have to spend.I got the shellac, and it was mostly painless on my hands...sometimes the techs use their drill to clean up my cuticles, and they miss and get my actual skin. This is lazy and I wish they wouldn't do that. Cuticle cleaning is also an ADDITIONAL $5 - when I'd gone a year before, this wasn't even a thing. I wonder if they added that? And if so, why in the world are they the only nail salon that charges for that?Service was prompt and friendly, but the color selection was not my favorite.I was offered a drink, which I politely declined, but I was given anyway...The work looks great, all except there's a bubble on my right index finger. This is the best nail salon I have been to in Dallas!  It is huge, they have 30 pedicure chairs and kept very nice.  The manicurists are so nice and take their time and make sure you are happy.  They offer you something to drink and are much less expensive than some of the salons I have tried closer to Dallas.  They also do powder nails (Nexgen) which I love and is much better than gel for me.  Highly recommend.  I drive quite a bit out of my way to come to this salon. I have been here 4 times now, the first time they were good, the second time I brought my daughter and while I thought it was ok, they did a great job on her nails. The third time was last month, they weren't busy about 5 customers and they were slow, a standard mani/pedi with two people should take 30 minutes or less, I was there for 45 min in the pedi and I kept asking about the mani and they acted surprised , so another 30 minutes for the manicure. The manager/owner was apologetic and gave me 10% off my next visit.  So I came in today, again they forgot about the manicure however they did get someone about 15 min into the pedi again after I brought it up.  It was NOT good, I had her stop as she was ruining my natural nails, all they needed was a quick shape, buff and polish.  I had to take over and fix the shape.  Meanwhile the lady doing the pedi kept asking me if I wanted my callus removed, I said no 5-6 times, however she kept grating the bottom of my feet until I pulled my feet away.  For the privilege of going there I paid 41.50 and that's with the 10% off they didn't want to give me.  I will never come here again.... I got my first ever no chip manicure yesterday at Villa Nails. I believe the woman who did my nails was the owner. She did a fantastic job. It's 6 days later and I can't believe how good my nails still look.  I first went in to get a traditional french manicure, regular polish, but then she started pushing the no chip manicure really hard. If I hadn't been in a pretty good mood as I was that day, I'd have been annoyed with how pushy she was being. However, she was totally right. Worst experience I've had getting my nails done. They never asked what shape I wanted he was so rude the entire time. The moment my friend and I would talk him and my friends lady would talk over us to each other. They rudely asked us if we're tipping. My nails looked horrible and he never set a fan or anything for them to dry I had to turn it on myself. He instantly asked if I was ready to pay, when he had just finished painting my nails. I left unhappy and brushed it off. A week later and look at my nails....one already broke off. This is the worst place to get your nails done. I expected a lot more from this place. Read Less

This is not a child-friendly salon.  I was given Leslie as the technician for my 7 years old pedi+mani and she was very rough and extremely rude.  I understand that children need to be reminded not to move so their nails can dry but Leslie was very annoyed when my daughter messed up a wet nail and she twisted my daughters wrist around to force her to look at the damage she did.  I told Leslie not to do that to my child and she told me she has children and she knows how to deal with them.  I was a bit shocked and couldn't wait to get our services finished up so we can leave and never ever ever return.  It was very pricey the quality was sub-standard.  Mandy did a great job on my pedicure and was very polite.  Kathy did my manicure and she did a very poor job painting over my cuticles that she failed to push back and remove.  It was the biggest $113 wasted in a long time. This place is right near me, and I go there often. The first few times i went it was great. HOWEVER my last 3 visits have been notoriously memorable. They are very friendly in the beginning but as soon as you sit down the women go so fast and manage to cut me, pull my cuticles too hard i always leave with a couple cuts every time.Well last night i was there and it happened again, the women got too confident with the electric filer and hit a nerve when I pulled back her filer cut me across my finger pretty bad and she tried to cover my cut with nail glue!!! I don't think this place is bad but I had a horrible experience. So I'm getting my nails done. The guy cuts my nails to a SHORT sharp square. I had moderately long nails, he cut them to the skin, no white part left. I ask him if he's going to smooth out the square. He says "later." Then he starts putting the gel on. I ask again if he's going to smooth out the sharp corners. He starts screaming at me. "I said later. I told you later." Then gets up and leaves. As he walks off he turns to me and says "don't look at me like that".  The manager says oh it's language barrier. Pretty bummed. Read Less

I had a great experience at Villa. I wandered in in a Tuesday afternoon and was greeted quickly and escorted to a seat. My technician, Julie, did an excellent job. I planned to get a pink and white fill but they do NexGen nails, so I opted to shake things up a bit. They have more than 100 colors, which was great. My nails look great and she paid great attention to detail. I also got an eyebrow wax, and while it was generally good, she missed a few spots, hence the four stars instead of five. I brought my daughter here for her birthday.  Showed our coupons to a man up front when we checked in. Says 10% off ANY combo spa pedicure and manicure.  AFTER we were already seated and being attended to, a lady came up to me to tell me that the coupon was not good for our combos. What? She said she would take 10% off our pedicures though. Really?  I thought ANY combo meant ANY combo. I did not complain though. I just said okay, thank you.  I didn't want to fuss over it. It's my daughter's birthday, for Pete's sake.The manicure was okay. I paid extra for the gel.  It was $35.00 each for our manicures.  My nails look good, but the filing wasn't that great.  They aren't smooth like they should be.  My daughter had glittery polish over two of her nails and on one of them, she could feel a lump of glitter or whatever it was. Not sure. Lump on nail though.  Her nails looked good too.The pedicures went fine. They were $50.00 each plus an extra $5.00 for my French color and $5.00 extra for flowers on my toes.  They spend a lot of time massaging, etc. My tech had to redo one of my flowers three times.  No big deal.We each had our eyebrows waxed. $10.00 each.  Job well done.Everyone was friendly.  The four of them working on us talked a lot to one another, which is okay I guess.  It kind of takes away from being able to sit back and relax though.The total with tip was $230.00.  That was with the coupons as well.Overall, I don't see the value there.  The place is nice, the people are friendly, but there are other salons that cost much less for the same service and that do as good, if not a better job.  I most likely would not go back.  Especially since they did not honor the coupon from their website.
