Got mani pedi and eye brow wax. Cut my finger while trimming my cuticles (I’m NOT an easy bleeder) and now my cuticles burn. Didn’t cover all of the nail surface with polish. When waxing my brows didn’t ask how I wanted them done and they turned out awful. My daughter has been using Trish for 4 manicures now and she does an excellent job. Her fingernails are in the best shape ever. Trish is very friendly, sweet & easy to communicate with. Busy when i went, but hesitant after knowing they only have 3 stars here. Got nexgen; worker seemed rushed to get my nails done, harsh with the drill file and got a few tiny cuts around my nails. I have been here before and each time was an okay experience. This time was THE WORST. I brought my 15 yr daughter in for nex gen and I got a pedi. The man that did my pedi did fine. (There are still some messed up spots.) When the ticket was brought to me, they charged $48 for my daughter's next gen. WHAT?! I tried to ask why it was so much and what did 'almond, coffin' meant. But I never got a straight answer. Apparently the girl that did my daughter's nails asked her if she wanted a certain type of nail. Told her it would be neat and pretty, so my daughter said sure-not knowing it would be more money. Sadly, this was not brought to my attention (the person who is paying) or it was not told to my daughter that it cost more. I understand it's a business but to take advantage of a teenager not around her mother and be sneaky and charge it all without asking.?!?!?They have lost my business and I will be happy to share my experience with others.Parents-double check your bill and tell your kids not to let them talk them into an add on. Went there for the first time and got an eyebrow wax. I almost left without having it done, as all of the cots looked unclean. The waste basket was full of used strips and gunk--not very sanitary looking at all. Just as I was about to say Nevermind, the lady took me to a better looking cot so I stayed.  She did a nice job, total time 10 mins.  I tipped her $2, as I exited the little room.  She made a crack in her native tongue to her co-workers as we passed them, and one of them laughed.  I turned around to look at her and let her know that I realized that crack had been about me.  I had a coupon for 20% off which gave me $2.40 off. The tech was going to round it up to $2 off until I said something. I vote with my feet.  When I don't like the service, I go somewhere else. I'll find another nail place. Worst Customer Service! On my out of the country I stopped in the day before to get a manicure. They put the wrong top coat on my nails and all of the polish wiped off. I called them they told me they would take off next time and they were sorry, however today one week later they refused to take off and told me to find the employee who did it and they would take from her pay. Very unprofessional and after I just spent $80.00 NexGen my nails are bleeding!!! I've tried to give these guys a chance but they make you wait forever (20 min) with an appointment. Do Better.... My daughter and I just had our nails and I had a great experience. Ghet did my pink and white acrylic and did a wonderful job!  My daughter on the other had a female employee who was very pushy and tried to get my daughter to have other services done. She also argued with my daughter about how she wanted her nails done and then ended up calling her spoiled. We will NEVER use her again but will go back to see Ghet and Angel. Read Less

I just had the absolute worst experience here. I got to my appointment with ELLEN at 6:30. I explained that I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a gel manicure, or nexgen because I had acrylics on and I wanted to see how my real nails felt to decide. She immediately pushed the nexgen (duh, it costs more.) I told her I'd like to wait and see because I prefer gel. She told me that nexgen is the same but better. I've been getting my nails done every two weeks for 8 years, and getting nexgen for the last three. I explain that I know what both are like, and AGAIN say that I'd like to see my real nails before making a decision. So she starts doing my nails and taking the tips off, and everything is fine. However, the color on my nails is SIGNIFICANTLY different than it was on the sample nail. The one I chose was supposed to be a dark eggplant, and it ended up looking like a light berry. I express that I'd like something darker, and she goes "well this is the one you picked." Well yes, but it's different. She brings the sample over and I picked something darker and she finally saw the difference. But I've noticed through this that she isn't painting all the way to the edges of my nails, so I ask if she could do so. She tells me she doesn't want to get paint on my cuticles. Well, I don't want to leave with a manicure that looks a week old.  It wasn't my cuticle. I know what a cuticle is. I asked her FOUR TIMES to please paint the whole nail and she keeps ignoring me. So I asked if I could just do it myself, and I did. I painted my own nails. She then tells me that I got it on my cuticle (no I didn't) and not to "command" her again. Well do what the customer is asking over and over again. If something is obviously a big enough deal to a customer, just do it. I told her I shouldn't have to keep asking her to do something to my nails, and she said "I don't want anyone to see your nails and you tell them I did them" and I told her "well I'm going to tell everyone you did them." I am so unhappy with my experience. My right hand (the one I did myself) looks far better than the left that Ellen did that I didn't touch up. I've never been one to complain as much as I did in a nail salon, but I was there for an hour and a half for a gel manicure, ignored, yelled at, and spoken to like an idiot, and I left SO unhappy. I paid full price for the worst manicure of my life, and still tipped 20% on top of that, because I'm service industry and I get what it's like to pay your bills on tips. But I felt like I needed to write a review of my experience not only so that people would know what to expect, but also so that this place could see what's happening and know that this was not okay. An hour and a half for a gel manicure is ridiculous anywhere, but even more so when I had to do some of my nails myself. Never will return. Read Less

I always love my nails and the color usually lasts a long time on both my fingers and toes. I've been coming here for several years for mani/pedi and Brazilian waxing services because they always work me in quickly without an appointment. It's a pretty shop and very clean. The downsides: noise because it's a large place and there are usually a lot of people there; and they do the manicures while I'm getting a pedi. I appreciate the saved time when I'm in a hurry...but sometimes it would be nice to relax and just enjoy being pampered. I had gels done for the first time 3 1/2 weeks ago by Tressa. The color still looks great! No chips or peeling...and I went to a zip line adventure park for three hours the day after! Color ME impressed! Read Less

I have been to several places in the city since I've moved and they have have all been good but this place easily tops them all. Not only is it super close to where I live but it is very well kept and maintained. I went in without an appointment and they squeezed me in within 10 minutes. A nice lady did my nails and she was very sweet. I usually don't really pay attention to what they are doing but I kept noticing her taking very precise attention to each finger. Even going back after they were finished and touched something up I didn't even see. Highly recommend this place. Read Less

I have always come here for my nextgyn nails. Last time I had nails done, it lasted 6 weeks! I was thrilled and hooked to only use this spa. I guess they figured I wasn't coming in as often as they had intended, therefore losing money. I went a week ago, when I had grown my nails out to the perfect length! I haven't even had these nails for 2 weeks and already two of my colors have popped off and I broke my pinky nail clean off! I am considering returning to complain, but I almost just want to switch salons. Make sure the undersides of your nails are the color of your polish with no white before you leave or you could very well lose your claws.***Update: 4 weeks from original salon date and 6 nails have fungus. I've been here several times and every time I have experienced exceptional service. They have almost too many polish options and a service for every budget. I would recommend a delux or heavenly pedicure- you are going to think you have died and gone to heaven for sure. Vivian is awesome and makes sure you are happy and everything is perfect. Wouldn't recommend this place for anyone that's looking for a relaxing experience.  I'm fairly new to Texas and I'm hunting for a good nail salon and wont be back to this one.  The women argued with me for about 10 minutes on how I wanted my nails done.  They did my nails and toes at the same time and I didn't get to relax at all even though I paid extra for a better pedi.  I was so disappointed with this place.  Not worth the money, and not relaxing at all. The back room has a speaker and some lady is screaming the whole time at the  workers. It's so loud you can't even relax. I complained and they said they couldn't turn it off. The workers are very mistreated. I feel so sorry for them. They do a great job. The boss lady is a monster. Read Less

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT GO HERE.  DISCLAIMER: I live in Maryland.  Maybe I'm just a Yankee snit.  That, or the the bleeding gashes that have become my heels are just making me angrier than I should be. (I came here as part of a rather large bridal party)I got the DELUXE pedicure at $45. First, the positives: The decor is VERY nice- particularly if you are seated in the back 'group' room, which has ten pedi chairs.  They seem mildly concerned with hygiene.  They are quick- if you want a pedi/mani combo, you're worked on by two techs simultaneously. The owner, familiar with the bride and her immediate family, seemed pretty concerned with their happiness, as it should be.  Hey, now, that's worth half a star.Now, the negatives: I felt I was being herded like cattle.  I watched as the owner barked commands in Vietnamese to her techs as they ran around like chickens with their little kits trying to get everything done as quickly as possible- off putting to say the least.Now, for the grit of the negative.I was part of a bridal party group and not even offered a water. WAIT WHUT?And also...I'm pretty sure that cheese graters and are frowned upon.  At least, they are in Maryland.  I would have stopped her, but I was worried about insulting the bridal party, and was wondering if my normal nail specialist was misinformed... so I refrained.  I was also looking forward to the paraffin treatment.  I was wholly wrong on both counts.  Between the grater and that treatment, both of my heels are now dry, chapped to the point of splitting (it actually hurts to walk heel to toe) and my feet are completely janky looking. Always clean, and fairly fast.  I only hold back the 4/5th star for consistency and the uncomfort with the techs talking to each other rather than with their client. I take my kids in here (reduced price for kids under 12) and don't have the worry about the fumes like some of the places, it does still have polish smell when you enter but not as bad as some places.  They have very comfortable chairs/whirlpools for feet and will do your hands at same time to same you time.  They also offer drinks, and have many magazines and TV's set to cooking shows.The negatives have been the over waxing of my face. MY family is from Sweden and we have a very light peach fuzz on our face (normal genetically for people raised for years in colder climates).  I go to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed and have only had one or two instances where they have not over waxed my eyebrows and extreme over-extension on waxing of my upper lip.  They offer on every occasion to wax my entire face, I decline and they continue to wax more than is asked for.  I have very fair skin and this is not attractive to leave with huge wax marks on face.  I have since stopped allowing them to wax at all, and only go for the nail service now.The nails are also a little inconsistent; it really depends on 1.) the type of polish you request, they carry China Glaze (comes off very easy) and OPI (better at stating on) 2.) the number of coats you receive &3.) the ability of the person to remove all the lotion from your toes before applying polish. Sometimes it looks bad in 2 days sometimes it lasts until the next pedicure (which is about 6-8 weeks apart). Read Less

I like it here, especially today's visit (3/8/12).  The interior is very nice with a lot of TV's to keep you distracted.  The massage chairs are nice and always working, and they offer a large selection of nail polish colors. I've never had to wait as a walk-in client either which is a plus. Today I needed the gel since I'm headed to the beach, and that is much more expensive for sure.  I did notice that I got a much better pedicure today - they paid special attention to calluses and cuticles than in my previous visits.  I looked around and saw that everyone was getting that treatment so I think they must be offering better service for the price.They are very accommodating as well, offering wine or beverage of your choice.Overall this has been my go-to place lately since I really look forward to the overall relaxation experience!
