While we waited I took my 4 year old daughter there for a Mani-Pedi for our mommy and daughter day, and Michelle did amazing with handling her! I tried several places before deciding that Polished is the place to be for me. On my first first visit I was drawn in to the "family". The ladies are precious, warm and inviting, welcoming and inclusive. Polished is also VERY clean! My mani/pedis have been great and they're very up to date on new colors and trends. They are by appointment however will try to accommodate walk-ins if their busy schedules allow. Having an appointment allows each one to give you their full attention and you don't feel like they are distracted or that you are just another person on the assembly line. She was wonderful in explaining what she thought was the best route to take with my nails and truly listened to what I was wanting. She picked the PERFECT color for me and was very detailed and professional. I found Polished after having a kind of creepy experience (inappropriate comments and flirting from the male technician) at another nail salon, and I was looking for a place where people spoke English well so that I could communicate easily what I was needing, and the price was right in line with what I had paid at the "creepy" place. I visited Polished for the first time today since I moved to Abilene 3 1/2 years ago. I'm sorry I didn't try them sooner! I had the best experience since I moved here. Worst salon experience of my life. I was in town for the weekend & googled nail salons close to my hotel. I walked in & a lady was sitting on one of the pedi chairs belittling the lady working on her. I quickly realized she was training her, treating her like a child. The trainee went to where I was sitting & started my pedicure. She asked me such personal questions, like if I've had my tubes tied & if my husband has had a vasectomy, then she cut my toe. I went there to have my eyebrow wax couple of weeks ago.. They burnt my skin. They burnt the upper and lower skin of my eyebrow.. The girl that did my brow didn't tell me that it was already bleeding when she did the first strip. The establishment didn't even bother to bring me to a dr for a check up and didn't even buy me a medicine. Now I'm left with scars. I called them so mamy times to talk to them but they said they were busy and I ask them to call me back but I never receive any call from them.. Definitely not coming back. So glad that I found this place here in Abilene. Very clean and accommodating and the staff is so friendly. You definitely need an appointment as they are very popular! I finally found the perfect place to get my nails and toes done. I've been going to the same place for the past 10 yrs. I'm picky, so if I'm happy with the service,  I remain as a loyal customer. I moved 40 min away from my favorite place and became an inconvinience to drive. So, here 6 months later I finally found the right place. Several times I've paid high prices for not so great service. Polished was a very clean salon, polite girls and I was very happy  with the service. The prices were very reasonable as well. They stay busy, best if you have an appointment. Read Less

I have found my new favorite nail salon! First off, just know, that you must make an appointment! They are extremely busy (which means alot of people know about their great service). I went by this past Monday for a manicure, but they requested I come back 30 minutes later, which was fine considering I work right next to the salon. Ysenia (spelling?) worked on my nails and she was fabulous! Paid close attention and cleaned them up nicely. I loved her so much that I went back today and got my pedi done by her as well! She was running a few minutes behind (working on the client before me), which was no problem since I wasn't in a rush. She spent a full hour on my toes and they came out great! Polished was very busy on a weekday after work.  This is a call ahead kind of place.  I walked in, and they couldn't take me immediately, but said they could book me for 45 minutes later.  When I came back in they honored that statement and put me right in a chair.  Polished has all new pedicure chairs, tons of OPI colors, and three shellac stations with dual hand lights to reduce dry time.  My only complaint would be that it's just one large room with no division of the pedi chairs, so you can hear all conversations.  Even ones that you don't necessarily want to hear.  However, this place is professional on all other fronts and I would absolutely go here again.
