I've gone to 5th Avenue on five different occasions. I don't live in Oak Ridge anymore, but I've used them if I need a quick service for an event. I've really tried to find redeeming things about this salon, but after all five experiences being bad, I have to share my experience. I last visited 5th Avenue about two weeks ago to get a gel manicure. I'm not super picky when it comes to what I want, just short and rounded nail shape. As was the case with my other visits, the manicurist shaped my nails square and long, even after I told her what I wanted. I asked her to go back and please shape them short and rounded. She tried to convince me that it didn't look good to have them the way I wanted and that long nails would look better. I persisted, and she finally did it the way I had originally asked. *Note: Manicurist checked her phone throughout the service.Even after she shortened and filed the nails, they were uneven and even jagged in some places. I decided to wait and even them out at home myself later. After she applied the gel polish, she inspected my nails and began to file the polish down at my cuticle with the rough edge of the nail file. It was really painful, and I asked her to stop. She did, but ended up not cleaning the spilled nail polish around my finger nails. So I paid $30 for the worst, and most painful, manicure I've ever received. I hate giving bad reviews, and I'm sure there are good nail techs that work here, but after five bad visits (not entirely dissimilar to the one I wrote out in length), I can't sugar coat it. It's just bad. Read Less
