I went for the first time today for Jeremy to cut my hair. He does a great job at cutting hair. He takes pride in doing it won't let you leave until you love it. Definitely will be going back. I love the fiberglass nails that Virginia does I will never go back to acrylic! They are so flexible yet strong, plus she does all of her filing by hand which is rare nowadays. No drills to prep your nails and the lack of odors or fumes is great. Read Less

I've been going to Virginia for my fiberglass nails for a couple months now and I will never go back to acrylic again! The combo of the fiberglass and the shellac polish is vastly superior to any acrylic and regular polish I have had done previously. It looks amazing and the polish holds so when I go back every two weeks for my fill often the shellac polish doesn't even look worn! I am a believer! She does a GREAT job!!! Read Less

MUST READ!!! First off everyone that works here is like a breath of fresh air! Smiles, warm welcomes and cute decor makes it so sweet. In my twenty years of having my eyebrows threaded, waxed, plucked, etc.... Bridget was freaking insanely awesome at what she does. No rush job here! She takes her time and I swear I have never had my eyebrows waxed with so little pain. Perfection! I literally can not say enough! She was a happy accident for me and I WILL BE BACK. Now on to my hair, JEREMY is a dream doll. Rock N Roll and the beach rolled into one amazing talent! Not what you would expect at all and my color and cut made my frizzy dry hair look fantastic! Absolutely loved my experience at Ajavi! I had bought a groupon for a pedicure and gel nails. When I called to book the appointment, Virginia, the salon owner and nail technician, answered. I told her I bought a groupon and she was so nice and excited for me to come in! The atmosphere was so calming, personal, and like I was at home! The salon was very nice and clean, it even had a little fire place! Not to mention, Virginia is the sweetest lady ever. I am shocked by the review below.. My cousin has been getting her hair cut and colored by Hilary for years. I recently moved to Nashville and thought I would give her a try. What a terrible experience!!!! First of all, she had her children there. The older two appeared to be middle school or high schoolers....why are they with their mom at work? The littlest one was a toddler and literally screamed the entire time I was there. They were in another room, but it was not relaxing at all to hear a child screaming. For the money that I paid (almost $150!!!) can she not afford a sitter??? The atmosphere is well decorated and would have been nice, had it not been for the screaming child. Secondly, Hilary REAKED of alcohol. I could literally smell beer coming out of her pores. It was sad and disgusting. I was worried she may have been drunk and that my hair would come out terrible! Then, while my color was processing, she left her screaming child inside to meet some rough looking guy in the parking lot. I was shocked....Is this woman literally smoking cigarattes and hanging out with her boyfriend while she is supposed to be doing my hair? The other 'owner'...I think she said it was her mom or something, just continued doing her customers nails like nothing was happening. She totally ignored the screaming child and the fact that her employee (?) was outside in the parking lot smoking while her FIRST TIME customer sat there. Overall, it took 2 1/2 hours to get my hair done. My highlights looked good, but not amazing or anything. I could have got the same color somewhere else, without smelling day old beer and cigarettes and listening to a kid scream. I will never be going to Hilary again, nor would I recommend this salon to anyone. Read Less

Hillary, Virginia, Jeremy, Betty, Becky, Amy are all AWESOME! I have been a faithful client for 3+ years and they are all great. I get the best compliments about my hair, when Hillary gets done with me, I usually tell her do what you want to it, cause I know it will look awesome! My wife has been getting her hair done, and I have been getting manicures/pedicures for eight years with these wonderful people. In all those years, we have never been dissatisfied with any service we received there. Everyone is always smiling and each member of the staff remembers every clients' name... whether you are their personal client or not. And here's a nice plus: There is always some great-tasting, homemade salsa and chips served up with all those smiles and great service. To sum it up... The staff was friendly but I asked for a ""touch up of my existing highlights"" - which I only had about 10 and she completely changed the color of my hair from dark brown to blonde!!! I was there for 5 1/2 hours while she tried to correct it and left with auburn hair with very brassy tones! It was awful. I called the owner to discuss how we could fix it and she got defensive and said that I must not have explained what I wanted very well to the stylist. Well, I know that I didn't ask to have blonde hair!! I have had to go for two more appointments - at a different salon - to have color correction done to fix it and it still will never be the same. I paid $120 and was extremely unhappy...I cried the whole way home....I can't believe that they did not offer to refund my money or even apologize. That salon's ""mistake"" has cost me about $500 and it still doesn't look right. Read Less

This is a great family owned and operated tropical salon! Jeremy and his family make this an awesome place to hang out while getting your hair and nails done, or coming in for a facial or massage. They have great products and awesome customer service. There is even a plasma flat screen TV to watch while you wait at the ""Color Bar!"" I have been coming here since it opened after trying other high end salons in Nashville and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My husband even gets his haircut by Jeremy and he is not a ""salon"" guy. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to look good and having fun doing it. Read Less
