I stopped in today to check out the shop I had just found online. I wanted to find a local salon and find someone to give me special attention. I had previously booked an appointment, but could not get in until April 28. I was desperate for a cut now but decided to wait. When I walked in just to check out the salon Rachel had just sat down for lunch at about 2:30. She was kind enough to give me a quick trim. I need to let my hair grow a bit to get the style I want. Good friend and I were in town for a quick weekend getaway and I booked this place ahead of time. This was hands down the BEST pedicure and overall nail experience of my LIFE. Do not judge a book by it's cover...we were a bit skeptical when the Uber dropped us off at the building and all we saw was a sign for a Chiropractor's Office...once we found the salon upstairs in the building though were were transformed into a little pocket of heaven. The intimacy, attention, care, and pampering within this place is unmatched. Both of the ladies that work there are warm and lovely and I almost fell asleep during my pedicure I was so relaxed...same with the mani, I usually feel my manicures are rushed and the young lady who did my manicure took her time and really pampered my hands. Customer service does not exist at this Studio. I purchased a Living Social Deal for a pedicure and went to the website to check it out. I called the studio to make an appointment. The owner answered the phone and told me I could go online to make an appointment, even though I was speaking to her at the time. And she sounded irritated that I called, but maybe she was having a bad day. I went to Style Seat, the service used to book appointments; this service is set up so that the times available for appointments are highlighted and you can ONLY select those times. I booked my appointment and started getting excited about my pampering! The next day I received an email telling me my appointment had been changed to an hour later, which I could not do. No phone call, just moved the appointment. When I called the studio to ask about it, the owner told me she's not even open until 10 so she didn't know how I could have booked it for 9 (um...because Style Seat had that time available) and she did not change any appointments so she didn't know what I was talking about - but I definitely could not come in at 9:00. And, again, she sounded irritated with me. Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment (online, of course) and asked for a refund from Living Social. I'm glad others have had a good experience, but I found the owner to be rude, dismissive, and not interested in providing any service to the customer. I am a huge fan of being a fan of myself. So as the President of my own fan club, I like to pamper myself from time to time. I was looking for a place that was fast and close to my job. I found this place on line and it was in a price range, the website outlined everything I needed to know about the services, and the place was pretty easy to find. It's not the Ritz. It's in an older office suite building with tons of other businesses. It was easy to make an appointment and it is run by the owner. one chair which is wonderful! She was very personable and did the most amazing job! I am going back and I would recommend it if you need a regular break from being a stressed grownup and you don't want to have to rob banks to look nice. Call in advance to set an appointment. Well...I had a groupon (old faithful trap it seems these days LOL)...I went here for the shellac and got a French.  Fine...so, I thought it looked terribly unprofessional.  The owner said that shellac does not work well with French.   That is fine, but I expect you to tell me this before we are half way through the service:(  I was late for my appointment because I got lost, so I really can't comment on the manicure (I skipped and just got my nails filed and polished).  However after 5 days, 2 of my nails had already chipped:(. Part of me would've returned to have them redone...but then, I would rather just go to my own salon and get them done:-l.  At any rate, I do support her because she is a young woman with her own business and working hard;)!! By all means...go here!  I can't say enough good things about Tondelia, the owner/operator!   I was referred to her by a friend, after I'd had surgery & could not do my own pedicures.  Understand, I don't "love" getting my nails done, but she  & was totally patient & very gentle.  Since then, she's done my manis/pedis, Shellac for my wedding & some fun Minx nail art.  Polish is nestled in a building that houses other businesses, but when you get to her suite, it's just her & you in a stylish salon...and she plays great music!  Now, if you enjoy getting your nails done in a group by someone who doesn't speak English and rips your flesh off with a sugar scrub, Polish is not the place for you.
